A: "I'm glad he cancelled though."

E: "Why?"

A: "I don't want to go out with Caspar."

E: "Oh."

A: "He said he'd give me the tickets though. To the cinema."

E: "How many tickets?"

A: "Two."

E: "I guess you'll go with Kira then..."

A: "She is my friend...but no."

E: "Oh."

A: "Eli, stop sulking, obviously you'll be having the second ticket."

E: "Knew it. I'm your favourite."

A: "Yeah, yeah."

E: "Is the dinner included?"

A: "The - the what?"

E: "Caspar's invitation was to go to the cinema and then to dinner. Does the final part still stand?"

A: "I would - um - if you - I would like to."

E: "It's a date then."

A: "A date!"

E: "I mean, if that's okay with you."

A: "You're asking me to go on a date with you?"

E: "Well technically you asked me, you're the one with the tickets..."

A: "I would like to go on a - a date...with you, Eli."

E: "Marvelous."

A: "Nice word."

E: "I know, thought of it myself."

A: "No you didn't."

E: "Irrelevant."
