《Your Dad is Captain America》Hope

—— Your POV ——
You sat beside Peter on the couch, you were building some legos, that Tony had bought for you and Peter. You were having a good time, he didn't mind playing dolls. Darcy walked in, "Hey guys, mind if I join." "Yeah, we're building a space ship." "Sounds fun. Thor's with Jane." you nod, the three of worked on building the spaceship. Your Dad was lightly snoozing on the couch. He looked so skinny, he was getting worse but you knew he had to get worse before he could get better.
The three of you were whispering about stuff to do. Your Mom smiled at the three of you, she sent a message, you read it and nodded. She wheeled your Dad to his bed so he could rest more comfortably. It had been two rough weeks for your Dad. His movement was getting sloppier each day, so bad you wished the illness would just go away and it made you cry sometimes. Your Mom knew it was hard for you to watch your Dad be in this condition. You caught a glimpse of the news that said "Has Captain America disappeared from the public? Or has he decided to retire?" and junk like that.
Your Uncle Tony saw it and turned the TV off, he took you to the lab, you sat down on a stool across him, he looked at you, "Hey Y/N, I know this is hard." you nod, "It's hard for me too. One moment everything is fine the next it's this, rough & scary." "I want him to get better." he nods, he hugs you and you both cry. He teaches you stuff about cars and all sorts of things.

Peter is doing homework when you guys come up for lunch. Steve's get his mobility therapy in his room. You walk in, "Dad?" "Ye sedie?" his speech is slurred it's hard for you to understand. "Could we watch movies?" "Zur." "Thanks." he nods weakly. You go grab some movies that look interesting to you. You feel a hand on your shoulder, "Hi Uncle Bruce." "Y/N, I need to talk to you." you nod, "I know your Dad's condition has been going down hill." you nod, "But I've created something that might help him." "Just make him better." you say, you feel the tears slide down your cheeks. "I'm trying, kiddo, but I think he might be stable for now." "What's that supposed to mean?" "It means whatever is happening has stopped for now. No expected change. That help?" you nod, "Thanks, Uncle Bruce." he nods.

Everyone is nestled onto another one of the couches Tony owns. You sit beside your Dad. He smiles a bit everyday just happy to be awake and sitting beside you.
(Found this online, please don't judge)
——— (Time Skip) ———
All of you had gotten through four movies when you noticed sweat forming on your Dad's forehead. You passed a note down to Uncle Bruce he nodded, and wrote "I think that's one of the side effects of what I gave him earlier." you nodded.
Your Dad's eyes fluttered open with a light you had missed, his smile broadened a little more. Some of his muscle mass had returned to normal. He was starting to look like himself again. By now it had been three months since you met your Dad and he got sick. "Hey sweedie." he still struggled so a lot of stuff came out garbled or slurred sounding. You stuck to your Dad's side. You hope this was the miracle that was shining the light on recovery.

The Good Necromancer
Hundreds of years ago, shortly after the Great Cataclysm which destroyed the Ancient World, was the Age of Heroes. One of these great heroes started off in the most hated profession of the time, Necromancer. Join him and his comrades as they accomplish the first of the Good Necromancers legendary tasks. ***** So, quick update for those who pay attention to this section. I'm finally coming out of finals for this semester, and I plan on getting the whole already posted section revised. It's taken me a while to change the necessary things, as I had to start all the way over, but I've at least got the rough drafts for all the revised chapters. These should be going up within the next week or so, still have to go to work, but I am here, I haven't forgotten or dropped the story. Just trying to make this the best work that I can produce. P.S. I will be releasing additional stories. They are all going to be in the Good Necromancer world, however the others will give you an idea on how humans in other locations survived and have thrived. Or not. =)

The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody
[participant in the 2018 NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody is a LitRPG system story where each person transitions into the system, or SCHEMA as this system is known, innocent and unaware of his former life. Following the tutorial, memories return, but by this point, each person has a better chance of accepting their new world. It also gives them an opportunity to start from scratch, fresh without all the baggage of their former lives dictating their decisions in the early stages of the process. I don’t expect this will necessarily turn into an action-packed heroic tale, my intent is to create a character who wants to have just an ordinary, but reasonably comfortable life. I don’t know myself how well he will succeed, there may be twists and Tom may discover some heroism hidden deep inside. I guess we’ll find out together. This is my first writing attempt. I’ve wanted to write all my life, but I’ve never been able to develop the proper discipline to put in the work. I hope I complete the challenge and work my way past this hump. I am writing this as part of the NaNoWriMo Royal Road Challenge. While I will try to self-edit as I go, the challenge requires close to 2,000 words a day, so parts of the story may be rough, and things like plot lines may not make as much sense as any of us would like. If all goes well, and I complete the challenge, I plan on going back through everything and trying to polish it up. In the meanwhile, thank you for reading and I hope I don’t disappoint.

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.
