《Snape X reader -a fine line-》Chapter 18 (dark past)

'I didn't know.' He sighed and got back in bed. He seemingly only got up to show (Y/N) why he wanted to get to know each other better. There was so much she didn't know yet about the past from Severus.
'Do you want to....talk about it?' She said questionably. (Y/N) surely understood if the answer to that question would be a no.
'(Y/N) I love you. I truly do and I don't want to have secrets between us.' She turned to her side so that she was facing Severus and he did the same. He looked in her (Y/N)s eyes and so did she, staring at the onyx, dark eyes.
'I love you too.' Her hand came closer to him, wiping away a piece of hair that blocked one eye from Snape. He got a smile on his face and sighed. They both enjoyed the moment of peace before it went dark.
(Y/N) groaned as the sunshine came crashing through the windows. She searched for Snape with her eyes but the spot he laid yesterday was empty.
She got up and looked around the room. Even in his room were thousands of bookshelves, full with dusted, old books. She smiled when her eyes went to the shirt of Severus he wore yesterday. (Y/N) decided to put it on and opened the door. As soon as she opened it, a scent of eggs and toast hit her. She let out a big sigh as she followed the smell of the eggs and toast.
(Y/N) saw a happy Severus Snape in the kitchen, busy with breakfast. She leaned against the doorway with her arms over each other, enjoying the moment.
Even though they might have not done it yesterday, (Y/N) was still cheerful as she felt that Severus trusted her enough to show her. She hoped that he might talk about his past a bit and the story behind the scars, which were clearly done by himself. (Y/N) could sense it as she knew the feeling and the patterns of it.

Severus didn't even notice her standing there yet so she tiptoed to him, fastly wrapping her arms around his midsection. He gave a little jump, probably because he didn't see it coming.
'I wonder who that is.' Severus turned around to see a wide smiled girl standing in front of him. He examined her from up and down.
'Looks better on you than on me!'
He gave her a kiss on the cheek and immediately went back to what he was doing. (Y/N) thought for a moment with what he meant by that but then she looked down at herself, remembering the shirt from Severus that was loose and big around her body. She giggled.
Severus wasn't in his usual robes but in black sweatpants and a white shirt. She already knew about his secret that he was a death eater because (Y/N) found out and promised to Dumbledore to keep her mouth shut about it.
Some people will say Severus is attractive but for her, he was perfect. They way he knew what to do in every situation and never took the easy decision, but the right one. There was so much more to explore about him as (Y/N), without question, didn't know everything about him yet.
She pulled herself out of her thoughts and noticed in the corner of her eye, the pot with coffee in it. (Y/N) helped herself and poured some in a cup she found.
'So, about last night,' she hesitated with saying the words and caught Snape's attention in a second. His expression changed, from a smirk on his face to the cold hearted Snape.
Actually, (Y/N) didn't think this far and didn't know what on earth she had to say next! Snape
'Sit down,' he said and he made two plates full of food.

The two of them both sat down, facing each other and he ticked with his foot on the ground. Every single tick was on the same pace and it looked like he was in deep thought.
'I was a slytherin myself in my teen years here on Hogwarts,' he began.
'I wasn't really appreciated by some people, well let's say, most people. Mainly by the Marauders: Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black and the well known James Potter.' The look from (Y/N) changed after hearing the name James Potter. She knew well enough that James Potter was Harry's dead and was killed by the dark lord.
'They didn't quite like me and showed that very well. The constant picking on me and causing me to almost die while they pulled a prank on me.'
(Y/N) already heard that he almost died while they made a prank on him. Severus was led to the ched and Remus turned into a werewolf and almost attacked him. Luckily he was saved last minute but you could say, it was a very close death.
'I wasn't in the best mindset to begin with in my teen years and the bullying only made it worse. You see, my father-' He stopped talking and avoided eye contact as (Y/N) tried to gaze in his eyes.
She got up from her chair and sat down at the chair next to Severus, laying her hand on his on the table.
'You don't have to tell me if you are not ready.' He looked at (Y/N), with pain in his eyes. She could tell even though you couldn't read it off his face.
'My father- always beat me up when I got home and because of this, Hogwarts was my safe place. The only way I could find peace was by, making myself suffer.'
He stopped talking and let out a hard breath.
(Y/N) said nothing, but kept her gaze on him and squeezed a bit in his hand to let him know she's there for him.
'Thank you for telling me. That must've been hard for you.' This created a small grin on his face and he cupped her face in his big hands.
Their lips touched each other and she smiled through the kiss. How can a person love another person so much.
