《Snape X reader -a fine line-》Chapter 4 (crushes)

3rd person pov:
Ron, Harry, Hemione and (Y/N) were in the common room from Gryffindor after dinner. They were playing a card game as (Y/N) said: 'Harry, aren't you supposed to go to Snape's office for detention right now?' Harry looked up and with one finger, he put his glasses higher on his nose.
'You're completely right! I totally forgot (Y/N). I'm sorry guys but i have to go now.' as he stood up from the couch and fast walked out of the room.
'Bye Harry, I will see you later,' Ron shouted after Harry already left.
'How did you know (Y/N)?' said Hermione.
'Oh, I overheard Snape saying to Draco that they both got detention,' I giggled. After finishing the card game we played, Ron decided to go to his room to sleep. Which honestly Hermione and (Y/N) did not believe. There was no way Ron would sleep this early but they still let him go to his room.
'So, should we maybe go study?' Hermione asked. Before I could answer, she already shoved a book in my hands. 'My grade for History of Magic was too low last year so i'm making sure it's good this year,' said Hermione as she was with her nose in the book. 'Weren't you the best student of your whole class?' Hermione glanced at (Y/N).
'I was, but I have to be better.' (Y/N) sighed. It must be exhausting always being that perfect she thought. (Y/N) tried to make a conversation with Hermione but it didn't really seem like she was in the mood to talk. She noticed it because of the short answers Hermione gave to (Y/N)s questions.
'Speaking of, how is it going with the boys?' (Y/N) winked.
'Don't be so immature,' Hermione laughed as her face turned red. (Y/N) got a big smile on her face. Hermione tried to cover her blushing cheeks up by holding the book higher for her face. (Y/N) grasped the book from her.

'So there is? Tell me everything about him....or her of course.' (Y/N) wanted her to know it was also fine if it wasn't a boy.
'Don't get yourself hyped up already,' Hermione laughed. 'It's not a girl but...I did maybe have a little eye on someone,' she said with a smirk on her face.
'Do i know him?' (Y/N) asked
'You know him pretty well.' the curiosity grew for (Y/N).
'Tell me who!?'
'Ron,' she said while smiling.
'Oehh, really! I could have guessed that. I mean you look at him all the time and it looks like he's staring back,' i winked
'You think he will like me,' asked Hermione shy.
'I'm positive he will.'
(Y/N)s pov:
The conversation about boys continued for over half an hour before Hermione asked: '(Y/N), do you have an eye on someone?' (Y/N) wanted to respond to the question but frankly she didn't know herself. I did maybe have some feelings for Snape...I thought. No, don't think about that because that's not true! You're his student, he's your teacher.
'Not really,' I said casually. Hoping Hermione did not notice she was blushing because she felt her face getting red.
'That reply took awhile for you, didn't it? She smiled. 'So there is someone?'
'Hermione, as much as i want to say yet to that. I surely don't have a crush on someone and if I had, I would tell you.'
'Okay...i believe you. As long as you tell me if there is someone in your life!?'
'I will,' i said.
'Promise it?'
'I promise.' We both laughed from how serious we were. It was getting pretty late and we actually wanted to wait for Harry to come back but it looked like he won't come back for another hour or more so we decided to just go to bed.

Blightbane
Miscellaneous Notes: - I want to see about making a crude map of Shroud to help readers. - I also want to get back to writing Coalescence updates. Schedule Notes: - None for now, updates when I can. [ Thank you for your patience and support as I improve my writing and storytelling abilities. I'm also using this story to better develop lore that extends far beyond it. ] Thanks to another exceptionally talented artist, Hiroeth, Blightbane now has an official cover! Vera was alone again. “You’re completely unprepared. Never before has sending one of you off made me feel quite so guilty.” Whenever she found herself in doubt, she would weigh her actions against the guiding principles of the one whom she revered. “When you don’t know the rules of the game, start making them up. When you are constrained by unfavorable conditions, inject a little chaos.” It was the supplementary message that concerned Vera the most. It was difficult to follow because it was intentionally vague and mired in subjectivity. “How can I enjoy myself when you look so tormented? Are we in danger?” Vera fell silent. An experiment is taking place on a planetary scale. Across the surface of the planet, a phenomenon referred to as "Blight" is spreading. Festering regions defended by fierce creatures called “blightbeasts” taint the surface, warping the land and proliferating unceasingly. Among the sentient creatures of the planet, it is the Blightbane Guild’s responsibility to stem the tide. They endeavor to cleanse the land in a struggle of attrition, but they are losing ground. A young man named Caim has been uprooted from his former life and transported to The Shrouded Theocracy, an isolationist nation with fanatical policies. He must struggle to survive with only an unfamiliar strain of magic to aid him. There is a secret to this magic. One he knows very little about. He intends to explore just what makes this magic special. On the far border of the theocracy, a mage scientist named Inis discovers a revolutionary new way to infuse strength from defeated blightbeasts. Using herself as a test subject, this process allows her to grasp magical concepts previously thought beyond her reach. Though she tries to document any side effects that arise, something escapes her awareness. She is playing with a dangerous force that will claim her most treasured asset if she isn't careful. Everyone and everything on the planet is a part of the experiment. The experiment is a lie.

Summary Alexander Weiss, an intelligent and slightly unusual man, always dreamt of becoming a mage. Sadly, reality is harsh and even his best efforts never allowed him to achieve his goal during his lifetime... or did they? One has to be careful what they wish for, lest they might live to see it fulfilled. Description Follow Alex, a man whose pursuit of magic could not even be stopped by his non-magical reality, going as far as to create it himself, only to encounter an unsurmountable obstacle shortly before achieving his lifes goal, denying him all access to these powers. His journey will take him through a miraculous world, full of wonders, magic and manic beasts trying to devour him! He will learn much about this world during his adventures, exploring individual aspects of the System and the various monsters that came from it... or did they? Strong points What you'll get from this novel is the following (read with overly enthusiastic salesman-voice) : • An ending! I'll complete it, no matter what. Well, not "no matter what", but as long as I don't unexpectedly end, this novel won't either! • Good grammar! Might not be perfect, but it's definitely good enough to not detract from the story in the slightest. I'll also fix any reported mistakes as soon as possible, be they grammatical, syntactical or just inconsistencies. • No plot-armor! Or plot-weapons! Or plot-... potions? And no plot-holes! If you see some, it's most likely information that is being witheld for future revelations! But in the (hopefully) very unlikely case of such a vile beast being encountered, please inform me immediately and I'll see to slaying it without grace! (Translation: If you see plot-holes, tell me and I'll fix them) • Logic! [Hidden : Spoilers][Hidden : More Spoilers] [Moved to Chapter [Hidden Spoiler]'s Author's Note] Marvelous, I know! • Blue Boxes! And maybe something more! • Sensible retroactive edits! Not to be confused with radioactive edits! You'll not have to re-read previous chapters, even if they get some major edits. If they were to receive new information, I'll add that very information to the newly released chapters too, in a reasonable way. • Realism! Shocking, I know! Especially considering the tag related to that and the point about "Logic!". This also means that the story will be... well, realistically depicting a pretty messed up world. Don't expect bunnies... at least not cute ones. • Relatively faster paced! No long and boring descriptions of irrelevant stuff. There will be some longer descriptions about important things, but that's gonna be necessary world- and/or character-building! • Short action! Might not be a plus for some, but you won't have to look at a whole (or, god forbit, multiple) chapter describing a fight against the same enemy... • Strategy and hard progression! It's a dog-eat-dog world! No grinding/power-creep! If you're up against three enemies of your level at once, you've already lost! • Understanding! It will be mostly about discovering the wonders of this new world and how it became like that, all while trying to survive. So there will be enough action nonetheless! • Humor! Sometimes dark, sometimes light, always at the worst moment! • Constructive critics, welcome! Destructive critics, nope... I can handle criticism though, so don't go easy on me! Just make sure it's really a mistake when complaining about something. • Will add more in the future! If I can think of more stuff...
8 169The Card Thief of Culnivar
Deep with the cozy kingdom of Daeton, among the generation-old farmlands and villages, a young farmer’s daughter stumbles upon a dead man. His elaborate clothing has been torn to ribbons, yet his skin remains unblemished. His face is peaceful, and tucked into the hand lying across his chest can be seen a solitary playing card. He is a Ludum Haeres. The last remnant of a Summoner. Numbered among those few capable of changing their destinies. The unseen rulers of the world known as Vesperia, and one of the most powerful creatures in existence. The woman knows none of this. And so, she picks up the card... This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.
8 196The Forgotten Universe
In a world of where there are supposedly 10 parallel universes, Only nine remain known. The Capital universe is trying to both find this tenth universe to exploit it, and trying to rid the universes of "rebels". One such "rebel" is Drin, a Drowen, - subspecie of the Drow elves - formerly feared as the strongest knight within the Universal Realms (this whole world). Now, as a fugitive, he too, along with his friends and allies (all of whom are also extremely strong), look for the tenth universe. not to exploit it, but to save it. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Although this series doesn't use the work of other creators, it has plenty of references and homages - both obvious ones and more obscure ones that require you to know the series being referenced. Hope you can find all of them. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ And most importantly, I hope that you enjoy this story and that it brightens your day - even a bit.
