《The Dragon's Treasure (Fem!Harry x Draco)》Samhain (Year Four)

I do not own Harry Potter or it's characters, this is merely a work of fanfiction.
From here on out, the story is going to get darker in tone. There are deaths in this chapter, it is none of our main characters, and they are bad guys, but be aware. Holly and her friends want to make huge changes to their society, and those kinds of changes don't usually come free of bloodshed. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox. Hope you enjoy.
I have created a collection of outtakes for this story called "The Dragon's Treasures Outtakes". It is for short-stories that don't fit into the flow of the narrative, or stories from the Marauders Era. Please check it out if you like this story. Thanks:)

Steam poured from the Hogwarts Express, providing some privacy from the other families crowded onto the platform. Sally and Godric had already disappeared to Hogwarts, as they were wont to do if left unsupervised for more than a few moments.
Cissa hugged Holly longer than usual. She knew why Holly wanted to enter the Triwizard Tournament, and she knew she was incredibly capable but it didn't keep her from being anxious about her daughter's safety.
"We'll see you soon," she whispered in Holly's ear before she released her.
Holly gave her a grateful smile. She knew Lady Malfoy would likely be present for every task. Lord Malfoy would make it to as many as he was able. After all, he still had an empire to run. The man in question was embracing Draco.
"Be careful this year. Crouch Junior is still out there somewhere. You're both very precious to us."
"I'll take care of her Father."
"Not just her, Draco. Take care of yourself. You are just as precious to us as she is. It would break your mother's heart if something happened to you."
Draco swallowed thickly and nodded his head.
"I promise. We'll be careful."
Lord Malfoy's face lightened and he patted his son on the shoulder reassuringly.
"You'll have a marvelous year, I'm sure."
<><><><><><><><><>
The Welcome Back Feast was marvelous, and left all the students properly stuffed. Holly and her friends retreated to the comfort of the Lady Slytherin quarters.
"When's the First Task?" Blaise asked.
"End of November," Holly threw out offhandedly.
Marcus groaned from his spot beside Pansy, drawing Holly's attention away from her catalog.
"What are you moaning about?"
Marcus removed his arm from around Pansy's shoulder and leaned forward.
"As much as I support your diabolical plans, and you know I love them all, what are you going to do until then?! We can't have a repeat of the rose garden."
Holly hadn't thought of that.
"Duel Luna, I suppose. Professor Lupin is supposed to give Luna and I extra lessons again this year. I can fly, even though they've cancelled Quidditch. They can't very well tell me no, I am Lady Slytherin."
Marcus fixed her with a look that clearly said he didn't think it would be enough.
"She can always duel you, if you want to complain," Pansy offered with a smirk.
Marcus turned on her to complain, and Holly found herself staring at the pages of her catalogue, hoping she would be able to control her magic until the First Task.
<><><><><><><><><><><><>
Professor Lupin's extra lessons were put into effect immediately. Luna and Holly worked on advanced Defensive Magic and dueling under his tutelage.
"You've gotten better," Remus noted.
Holly chuckled, "Luna is not as kind as you. Her hexes sting. It was get better, or end up with welts all summer."

Remus shook his head in amusement. This generation of girls was vicious.
"How was your summer?" Holly asked, taking the seat next to Luna.
"It was good. There's a few new pups in the Pack. They're so wild and free. It was nice to be around small children again."
"Are you thinking of adopting one?" Luna asked with a knowing smile.
Remus gave her a reproachful look, "I'm considering it, as you well know. I'll let you know if I come to a decision."
<><><><><><><><><><>
Luna adjusted the sash on Holly's emerald green gown, and tucked her stray hair into her cascading braids.
"There, perfect."
"Thank you, Luna."
Professor McGonagall watched the Founder's Heirs with fond amusement as they readied themselves for the arrival of the other schools. They would be standing in front of the other students. She felt wistful for a bare moment that there was no Heir of Gryffindor to complete the quartet, but she didn't have time to let the thought linger.
"Headmistress?" Luna called.
"Yes, Lady Ravenclaw?"
"It would be best if you warned our visitors to stay off the grounds tomorrow night. It will not be safe for them to be wandering about."
"Do you mean?" Professor McGonagall asked, excitement clear in her tone.
She had been waiting for an Heir of Gryffindor ever since Heir Smith had claimed his title. Surely there had to be one, if all the other Founders Heirs were present.
"I believe so," Luna answered with a dreamy smile.
The Headmistress smiled the biggest Holly had ever seen, and turned to oversee the arrangement of the rest of the students. Holly's eyes looked over the Slytherin students. They all looked perfect.
Draco was standing with his hands in his pockets, talking to Theo in a whisper. Draco felt eyes on him, and turned, to meet Holly's emerald gaze. He sent her a wink, and Holly turned hurriedly back to Luna and Zach before she could be made to blush again.
"They're coming," Zach said, pointing a finger towards the sky.
A carriage was being pulled towards Hogwarts by massive white Abraxans. Luna nodded towards the lake, where the water was beginning to crash in huge waves. A ship, the likes of which Holly had only ever seen in history books, emerged from the Black Lake.
"Here we go," Zach murmured, tugging on his waistcoat. He turned around and shot Hermione a cheeky smile that made Holly laugh. They were a very sweet couple.
The Durmstrang students came first. They were strapping young men with broad shoulders and heavy cloaks. They carried themselves seriously, like they carried the weight of history on their shoulders.
Their Headmaster came last, Igor Karkaroff. He was a weathered looking man with scraggly greying hair. Holly enjoyed the look of shock upon his face when she was introduced. She wondered what bothered him more, that she was The Girl Who Lived, or that she looked so much like the former Lord Slytherin. She couldn't help the resemblance.
Draco elbowed Theo repeatedly upon seeing a familiar face amongst the Durmstrang students.
"Stop Dray, that hurts," Theo whispered as he rubbed his ribcage.
"It's Viktor Krum-"
"And your soulmate is Lady Slytherin, for the love of Merlin, get over your man crush."
Draco rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "I do not have a man crush."
The students from Beauxbatons came next. Their Headmistress was a rather large woman, even surpassing Hagrid's large size.
Holly stiffened upon seeing Mademoiselle Delacour, but smiled kindly. The girl looked back at her blankly, and forced the coldest smile Holly had ever seen. Luna watched Holly's hair spark in it's braids with amusement.

The house elves had worked themselves silly to produce a feast grand enough for their visitors.
The Durmstrang students sat at the Slytherin table, and seemed pleased with the food. Holly couldn't help how her eyes gravitated towards the Ravenclaw table, where the Beauxbatons students had squeezed in. She couldn't help but notice that Mademoiselle Delacour looked bored, and did not like the food.
"Well go back to France,"she muttered.
"What was that?" Pansy asked.
"Nothing."
Pansy followed her line of sight to the Ravenclaw table, and understanding flooded her face.
"Sure, sure. It's nothing."
"Shush, Pansy."
Pansy smiled secretively, but gave in. She watched several of the Beauxbatons girls eyes catch on Draco. She noticed Holly's hand clenching into a fist, and her posture getting straighter with every glance.
It was going to be an interesting year.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Holly bursted into the boy's dorm bright and early the next morning.
There were yelps of protests as the boys covered themselves to an acceptable level. Holly held her hand firmly over her eyes. She had been in such a hurry, she hadn't even considered that the boys might not be dressed yet.
Her hand was peeled away from her eyes a moment later by Draco. His shirt was unbuttoned, and he wore a mischievous grin. She was briefly distracted by the glint of her necklaces around his neck, and his exposed abs, before she shook herself out of her meandering thoughts.
"I'm here to see Blaise."
Draco's smile dropped, "That does wonders for the ego love."
Holly shrugged apologetically. Blaise laughed wildly and shoved Draco out of the way.
"Yes principessa, what is it?"
Holly gestured to the sleeves of her dress, "Is there a way to shorten this sleeve?"
"To where?" Blaise asked skeptically.
"Hereish," she pointed to a spot on her forearm that Blaise knew bore her soulmark. His eyes rolled of their own volition as he crossed his arms.
"Is this about the Beauxbatons girls with the wandering eyes?"
"No!"
Blaise raised one eyebrow and stared expectantly.
"Okay maybe a little," Holly whispered, dragging him to a corner. "Look Draco's...well he's Draco. He's tall, and confident, and gorgeous, and I'm just me. I'm scrawny-"
"Petite," Blaise corrected.
"And a mess. Blaise, please."
Blaise jaw ticked, finally he sighed reluctantly.
"Fine, I will shorten the sleeves of your dresses, but only the Fall ones! All your Winter wardrobe is staying the same, so you better get the word out that he's taken. Understood?"
Holly nodded gratefully. Blaise pulled out his wand. With a few flicks her sleeve was shortened to three quarters length. She was suddenly very glad she had worn her favorite scalloped trimmed gloves, because they looked marvelous with this sleeve length.
"It does look nice," Blaise conceded testily. He flicked his wand a final time to place a warming charm on her dress. "I wouldn't want you to get a cold."
"Thank you," Holly gushed.
Draco joined them in the corner besides Blaise's wardrobe. He had managed to finish getting dressed in just a few moments.
"What are you two up to?"
His eyes caught the sight of Holly's soulmark almost immediately and elation flooded through him. He loved when he could see it, as she so often covered it up. It was a visual representation of their connection. If it also happened to keep other wizards away from her, so be it.
"Did he shorten the sleeves of your dress just so you could show this?"
Holly blushed and nodded as Blaise left the corner, scoffing at his friends. They were both possessive idiots, but at least they had each other.
Draco looked into Holly's eyes as he gently lifted her arm. His eyes flicked to her arm as he pushed the sleeve up to her elbow, revealing her full soulmark. He took in the sight of it greedily. Holly watched, suspended in fascination as Draco kissed her soulmark. The door slammed, making Holly and Draco jolt apart.
"Glad that knocked you out of that," Theo teased, "I thought I was going to have to hose you off with water."
Holly blushed and fled the room. Draco scowled at his dorm mate. Theo just laughed, and made kissy faces at Draco, as he chased after his soulmate.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
The next day the age line was drawn around the Goblet of Fire by Headmistress McGonagall herself. The House tables were pushed to the side, and benches brought in so the students could watch people enter their names.
Ginny and Primrose watched the Weasley Twins gleefully as they drank an aging potion, crossed the age line, and were blasted back with a wave of magic. Ginny and Primrose held onto each other as they doubled over with laughter. Tears leaked down their cheeks as they tried to catch their breath.
Luna watched the Twins with a more discerning eye. This display would make it all the more believable that Holly couldn't possibly have put her own name in the Goblet of Fire. Best of all, the Twins had thought of it all themselves.
Professor McGonagall broke up their wrestling, and ordered them both to the Hospital Wing. The blast back had also endowed them both with rather magnificent beards that would need fixing. As they left a large group of Slytheirn's entered and took up seats behind Ginny and Primrose.
"Have the other schools entered yet?" Holly asked.
"No, but the twins tried, and the age line made them grow massive white beards. It was amazing."
Blaise turned his attention to his sketch pad. Holly's dress for the Yule Ball was simply not decadent enough if she was also going to be a contestant. He poked the paper with his wand several times, changing the beading until it met his standards. He held out the pad to Holly, but she didn't notice. Blaise raised his eyes to see the Beauxbatons students entering.
The Beauxbatons students looked incredibly pretty in robes of light blue silk. Luna knew they must be cold, those uniforms were not meant for cold Scottish winters. They walked in an incredibly composed line up to the Goblet of Fire and put their names within.
Mademoiselle Delacour was last. She carried herself with a confidence that bordered on arrogance, but Holly supposed she could see why. People were captivated by her Veela allure, though admittedly those close to Luna were less affected. They had built up a sort of resistance to it over time.
The Beauxbatons students flitted out as gracefully as they had come in.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Luna twirled her wand in hand as she walked with her Papa to the Ravenclaw Common Room. He insisted on walking her, with all the strangers on school grounds. Fooling the age line had been challenging, but nothing that they couldn't handle together.
"Do you think she'll be able to control her magic?" Lord Black asked.
Luna hummed as she thought. "I think so, on the other hand, if she did have an explosion, we'd have a chance for renovations, so that's nice."
Lord Black shook his head at his daughter's caprice. She always managed to see the upside of things.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><>
A fire blazed in the Lady Slytherin private quarters. Holly figured it was better to have their now customary sleepover in her private quarters, so they wouldn't completely take over the Slytherin Common Room. Besides, it allowed them privacy to discuss whatever they liked.
Trixie and Mipsy had arranged for the kitchens to send up an assortment of snacks and beverages so that they could snack at their leisure.
Godric and Sally laid in front of the roaring fire as if this was their common room, and everyone else were simply visitors. Draco sat next to Holly and draped one arm around her shoulders. He dropped a kiss on her cheek, and Holly leaned her head onto his shoulder.
"Are you going to be okay?"
Holly looked up at him, "With what?"
"With everything. Samhain is usually hard for you, but with all of this on top of it..."
Holly let her eyes roam over the room, "I'll be alright." Draco rose one eyebrow at her in that haughty way of his.
"Okay, I might need to go outside and smash some pumpkins to make it through tomorrow, but we'll get through it."
"You know the Gryffindor's are likely to throw a fit," Marcus noted from his spot by Pansy.
"Let them," Draco replied, "they were the Golden ones for years under Dumbledore. Now it's our time. Besides, a Gryffindor may be chosen for the other champion."
"My money's on Diggory," Theo contradicted.
Holly nodded her head vigorously. He would be a formidable opponent. She was certain Cedric was holding back when he dueled Draco this summer.
"Are you trying to win?" Daphne asked, "Or just participate?"
"I don't care if I win or not. I mean I already have fame, and gold. I just want to participate. If I happen to win some, so be it."
That night they all slept in the Lady Slytherin quarters, in front of the roaring fireplace. Holly slept with Draco on one side, and Ginny on the other, comforted by the presence of the two people she loved the most.
Draco woke to Holly's stirring in the middle of the night. She whimpered in her sleep. Draco already knew what she was dreaming about. It was the same nightmare, the same memory that always plagued her, the night of her parent's death.
Ginny peeked her head over Holly, and looked at Draco. She took Holly's hand in hers, and motioned for Draco to do the same. Holly seemed to settle, and Draco layed back down next to her.
Holly woke the next morning feeling anxious. She had that dream, the terrible one, all last night, but she didn't remember waking up screaming, so that seemed like progress.
<><><><><><><><><><><><>
The goblet began to turn a violent red behind Headmistress McGonagall. Holly and her retinue did a very good job of not noticing until others pointed it out. A slip of paper was ejected from the Goblet, and floated down into the hand of the Headmistress.
How was this possible? They already had three champions!
She caught it and read the name once, then again. She raised her eyes to the Slytherin table.
"Lady Holly Slytherin," she announced in a disbelieving tone.
Holly shook her head no. She tried to retake her seat, but Draco pulled her to her feet. He glared at his housemates, and they broke into boisterous applause. The Ravenclaw's were next, with the encouragement of Luna and Hermione.
Draco dragged Holly to the front, where the Headmistress handed him the slip of paper.
He took it, placed it in Holly's reluctant hands, and pushed her towards the antechamber gently. Holly stumbled into the antechamber, lost her footing on the steps, and ran face first into Mademoiselle Delacour. Holly worked to right herself immediately.
"What is she doing here? And you? Why are you here?!"
The girl's questions clawed at Holly's already strained nerves. She wasn't used to putting on such an elaborate ruse.
"I am Lady Slytherin. I can go where I want in Hogwarts!"
