《The Dragon's Treasure (Fem!Harry x Draco)》Italian Summer

I do not own Harry Potter or it's characters. This is merely a work of fanfiction.
Thank you for coming back after my week off. There is discussion of child abuse in this chapter. I am going to put a few extra spaces before and after that section, so if that is triggering, please skip that section. All you will miss is that Fenrir took Remus from his family because they were abusive.
I have pinned several pictures of homes on "The Dragon's Treasure" pinterest board I have, so you can see if you need the visual representation.

"How bad is it?" Alpha Greyback asked.
"He's going to be okay,'' the pack's Healer told him. "He's incredibly strong. He had enough potion in his system to take down a lesser wolf. He'll be sick for a few days, and then he'll be better than he has been in years."
Alpha Greyback nodded his head as he looked at his pup laid out on a bed.
He looked clammy and ashy. Even at his worst, he hadn't seen him like this since he was five. He had rescued the boy from his abusive parents, and refused to give him back. He was his heir, his chosen son.
Remus had been sedated for the safety of himself and the Healer. If he lashed out in his confusion, he easily could have hurt them both. He was incredibly strong.
The Healer began to clean up the empty antidote bottles. She tossed them into her rubbish bin, and turned to look at their Alpha.
"Does he know about the adoption ritual? He wouldn't have survived if he wasn't your son."
Alpha Greyback shook his head as he stared at Remus. The healer left the room to give her Alpha his privacy.
He would never forget the night he had taken him. He had heard the boy's screams when he was running through the countryside. He veered off course, his second in command following close behind him.
He came to a house and shifted back to his human form. His second in command did so as well, unsheathing his wand as they approached the house. They looked in a window, and what they saw jolted them.
A man was beating his young son. His little face had a cut on the forehead and blood trickled down. A wand laid on the table forgotten. A woman was passed out at the table, a bottle of alcohol still in her outstretched hand.
Fenrir growled lowly. He could be a cruel man, he had done cruel things, but he did not condone violence against children. It was abominable. This was a magical child, clearly.
Before his second in command could stop him, he was storming in the back of the home. The man turned to stare at Alpha Greyback with wide eyes.
Alpha Greyback smiled at the fear he saw before he backhanded the man. He flew with the force of it, hitting the wall, and sliding down it. The poor child was cowering still, his eyes fixed on the floor. Alpha Greyback knelt in front of him and the boy tentatively raised his eyes.
"Who are you?" Remus asked in a small voice.
"My name is Alpha Fenrir Greyback."
Remus chanced a small smile at him. He was glad the large man had come and made his father stop. He hated when he got like this.
"Alpha? Does that mean you're a wolf?"
Fenrir's eyes flashed yellow before returning to their normal stormy blue.
"That's right. You sure are bright," he complimented as he wiped blood from the young boy's face. He could hear his second in command obliviating the father off to his side.

"I like wolves," Remus told him, "father says they're all dangerous criminals, but I don't think so. They're so fluffy and strong, and they take care of each other."
Alpha Greyback shared a look with his second in command. The man shrugged at him. He would go along with whatever the Alpha wanted.
"Would you like to come live with us? You can be a wolf too. We'll take care of you, no one will hurt you, like your father. When you grow up you'll be big and strong like me."
Remus fixed him with a discerning look. He was rarely sassed so much. People tended to just give in to him, they could sense his authority. It didn't seem to phase Remus at all though. What a charming child.
"Can I bring my books?" he asked as if everything was riding on the question.
"Sure kid."
Remus ran out of the room and came back a moment later with a tower of books nearly as tall as he was.
"Is this all of them?" Fenrir questioned. Remus nodded his head enthusiastically. Alpha Greyback shrunk them to fit in a backpack they found in the kitchen, and placed it on Remus' back.
"Let's go!" Remus squealed excitedly. It didn't escape Alpha Greyback's notice that he didn't want to say goodbye to either of his parents.
Alpha Greyback led Remus outside where he transformed into his wolf form once again. His second in command picked the boy up and placed him on the back of his Alpha.
"Hold on tight," he instructed, "It's a long ride to get back to the pack."
Remus nodded and snuggled close to the Alpha's fur. When they arrived back at the pack, the young boy was asleep. It was then that Alpha Greyback had carried out the magical adoption ritual. He wouldn't allow that boy's birth parents any grounds to stand on. They had no right to a child that they so willingly abused.
From that day on, Remus was accepted as the next Alpha of the Greyback pack. He never asked about his parents again. Only when he started Hogwarts did he start to resent the man who had become his father.

"He's very confident, isn't he?" Lady Longbottom observed. She and the other parents were watching the children play Quidditch on the grounds of the Zabini Villa.
Dowager Longbottom beamed. Neville wasn't particularly skilled at Quidditch, nor did he love it like the other boys, but he was willing to play with his friends. What he lacked in skill, he made up for with confidence and good spirit.
"You've done a marvelous job with him, Mother."
Lord Lonbgbottom placed one hand on his mother's shoulder as they watched Neville play.
"Yes, well, he is the next Lord Longbottom. I knew I had to prepare the next head of our family."
The newly refreshed Longbottom's felt uncomfortable at first, being around so many Slytherin families. But the war was over, and they owed it to their son to give it a try.
As the days passed, they realized they had lots in common with the other parents. Conversations were shared over drinks, and meals. They all seemed to want the best for their children. Some of them had been Death Eaters, that was true, but they were coerced. They were still kids when their parents had sold them to Voldemort.
They couldn't imagine growing up in that darkness, and being able to come out the other side. The other parents had their respect.

Lady Malfoy floated over to join them where they stood, a bit apart from the other parents. Sally rode on her shoulder, as she insisted she needed to be able to see her Mama and Papa as they flew.
"Neville is wonderful," Lady Malfoy noted, nodding at where he was flying side by side with Ginny.
"I'm so glad Ginny got such a kind soulmate. They're such a good pair, and such a rare soulmark too. What an auspicious sign, just as Lord Hufflepuff has made an appearance. Perhaps we will see a return of the Oligarchy after all. "
Lady Malfoy floated away to talk to Lord Flint, leaving Lord and Lady Longbottom to stare at each other. How had they overlooked this? It was so obvious. They needed to prepare Neville and Ginny for their futures.
Dowager Longbottom hid her smirk with a long sip of wine. She would have quite a bit to tell her friend, the former Lady Flint, in her latest letter..

A map was sprawled out on the large desk of Lady Zabini. Holly and Luna leaned over it, Lord Black and Lady Malfoy looking with them. Luna pointed to a spot on the map, a section of the Hogwarts ground.
"Here," Luna said, marking it with a quill. "This is the spot Rowena describes in her journal, just beside the Forbidden Forest."
Holly looked at the map detailing the grounds of Hogwarts. Lord Nott had given her a description of the ritual, with the words to be said. He was an invaluable resource, truly.
"Can we do them both on the same night?" Holly asked again.
It seemed like a lot. The Founders magic would already be thick on the grounds, it being Samhain. The way Lord Nott described the ritual made it seem like it created a windstorm of magic.
Could Hogwarts handle the magical energy that would descend on it's grounds if they both did the ritual on the same night?
Lord Black sighed and stuck his hands in his pockets, they had been over this multiple times, but Holly was still apprehensive.
"The wards on the castle were placed by the Founders. Therefore the Founders rituals should be unable to hurt the castle or those within it. You should be more worried about yourself. You will be inheriting a lot of magic all at once."
Holly raised her eyes to Lord Black's, taking in the warning in their stormy grey depths, so similar to Draco's.
"What about Luna? Are you not worried about her?"
Lord Black glared at her in that grumpy way of his, but it didn't bother Holly. She was used to it by now. Luna drew their attention before they could break out in bickering.
"All family magic's are different, Holly. You already bear more magic than most witches are capable of. What Papa is trying to say is that it might simply be too much for one person."
Holly looked at Lady Malfoy, a world of silent conversations taking place in the space of seconds. She had talked to Lady Malfoy about doing a blood sister ritual with Ginny. She had found it in one of James' rituals from his Hogwarts days. He had done the same with Sirius.
Ginny would then be a true Potter then, and share the Potter family magic. It also assured that if anything happened to Holly, that Ginny would be able to inherit the title, and pass it down to her own children. It just so happened that it solved their current problem as well.
Good thing Ginny was all for it. She didn't want to be under the control of the Weasley family any longer.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
The Egyptian heat made Lord Weasley's vision hazy as he walked down the street. He was in a section of magical Cario that was sectioned off. He had gone to Romania first, but Charlie was less than helpful.
Besides saying that he had considered trying to claim the title of Lord Prewett the next time he was in England, he hadn't said much. Lord Weasley got the distinct impression that he was holding something back, but he couldn't force his son to confide in him.
He was hoping Bill would be more forthcoming.
He looked down at the slip of parchment that contained his oldest son's address and walked in what looked like a luxury hotel. He went to a desk where a man was wearing a bellhop uniform, and waited patiently.
"I'm looking for my son, Lord McKinnon."
The bellhop's eyes grew large. He couldn't imagine the shabby man in front of him was the father of Lord McKinnon, but he held his tongue. British magical families were often a hodge-podge, since the end of The War, and it wasn't wise to comment.
"Just a moment," he requested as he tapped his wand on a paper crane that took flight at his tap.
Not a moment later, Bill was striding down one of the hallways, his hair pulled back in a leather strap and a fang earring dangling from his ear. He wore a button down shirt and a waistcoat with his formal breeches and boots. He usually forewent the dress coat and outer robes a Lord would wear, due to the heat.
"How are ya dad?" Bill asked, clapping Lord Weasley on the shoulder congenially as he led him back down the hallway he had come from. He led him to a lift, and tapped his wand on a panel, opening the doors.
"Not great," Arthur admitted as the doors closed.
Bill held his tongue, he would prefer to be behind his wards when this conversation occurred. Bill led him off the lift, and into his penthouse. He knew it was a bit extravagant, but it was worth every galleon for a building that had cooling charms placed on it, and top notch security.
He flicked his wand to pour himself a cup of ice water from the cooling cupboard and offered his father the same as they sat across from each other.
"What's wrong?"
"Don't act like you don't know Bill. Molly's been acting crazy lately. Worse than usual."
Bill sat down his glass on the coffee table between them, and rested his forearms on his knees. He truthfully didn't know his father even realized how bad she could get. He seemed so oblivious.
"Let me ask you something, because the truth isn't pretty here. Would you choose your children over your wife, if it came down to it? It may be too late for Ginny. She's more or less Lady Potter's sister at this point, but you still have the other kids at home."
Arthur's mind was in freefall. What was he saying? What could be so bad? Regardless-
"Yes. Yes, of course I would choose the children. Always."
He had to protect his boys still at home, who else would? He loved Molly, but if she would hurt the children, he would be forced to act.
Bill told him everything. How he and Charlie had fled the country and their mother after graduation. They feared she would continue to constantly intervene in their lives, and try to control them. His Lordship was a huge part of what gave him the confidence and money to leave.
He told his father all about what Molly had tried to make Ginny do, and how Ginny had resisted. Ginny's friendship with Lady Potter was largely based on their mutual mistreatment as children. Lady Potter saw herself in the younger girl, and wanted to help her as she had been helped.
Lord Weasley rubbed his temples. A large headache was building, wrapping around his head.
"What will you do?" Bill asked.
Lord Weasley raised his head to look at his oldest son. So strong. So successful despite them.
"Get home as quickly as possible, and owl my lawyer."
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
"Are you ready?" Holly whispered.
Ginny and she stood in the middle of a ruin circle, drawn on the floor of the Zabinin family's ballroom by Lady Zabini herself. Lady Zabini, Lady Malfoy, and Lady Longbottom stood guard around the ritual site.
Ginny nodded. She was sure in her decision. The Potter's were an honorable family, and her brother's had assured her it was okay when she had asked them about it. She would be regarded as a Potter in blood and magic, but she would always love them.
Holly and Ginny let down their hair. Ginny's reached the end of her shoulders, while Holly's had regrown and was nearly at her ankles.
Holly cut her hand with a dagger, and then took Ginny's. She made the same small incision and squeezed their hands together, allowing the blood to mingle and drip into a cauldron that stood in the middle of the circle.
"It's time," Holly told her.
They knelt on either side of the cauldron. Holly snipped a small piece of hair and put it into the smoking cauldron. Now it was time for the worst part. She picked up the small cauldron and blew on it to cool it down.
She tipped it back and allowed herself to drink half the contents of the cauldron. She then handed it to Ginny who drank the other half.
A strong wind picked up around them. Ginny dropped the cauldron to the floor, the metal clanging sound filling up the ballroom. Holly caught Ginny in her arms as the magic became overwhelming. They closed their eyes against the magical tempest.
She could feel herself changing, some of her magic transferring to Ginny. She felt like a literal weight had been lifted off her shoulders, like her soul was not so heavy. After a few moments the winds died down. The girls opened their eyes slowly.
Holly looked at Ginny with wide eyes. Her hair was a slightly different shade of red, and her muddy brown eyes were now the same as Holly's emerald green. She looked so much like her mother Lily that it was stunning. Her hair had grown to reach her hips, while Holly's had shortened to just below hers.
"Are you okay?" she asked softly.
"I'm okay," she assured Holly. She felt great, she felt free.
They broke the ritual circle together, and the women healed their hands, and helped them pin their hair. Lady Zabini brought a mirror to Ginny so she could see the changes. They knew there might be some, but no one was sure what. Sirius and James had already looked like brothers, only his eye color had changed.
"I like it," Ginny said excitedly. She had secretly always hated her eye color. Now she really looked like a Potter.
Holly smiled at her.
"Let's go to sleep sister, we have a long day at the beach tomorrow."
Ginny nodded, exhausted from their spell, and they went off to rest.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
"What happened?" Lord Malfoy questioned as Draco and Cedric returned to their group.
Their faces were thunderous. Draco stormed past his father and pulled Holly up from her seat and into a hug. Cedric did the same to Luna, whispering in her ear.
"Draco, what's wrong?" she asked after a moment.
"We're going to a private beach next time, I don't care if we have to buy an entire island." he snarled as he glared down the beach at something Holly couldn't see.
"What? What's happening?"
Cedric turned to Lord Malfoy and Holly gasped. His knuckles were bright red and had blood caked onto them. She grabbed Draco's hands and saw his were much the same.
"Muggle boys a little ways down the beach were looking disrespectfully at Holly and Luna. We would have ignored it, but some of the things they said..." his face scrunched up in disgust.
The things they said they had wanted to do to the girls was reprehensible. Holly was still just a baby. They had deserved every hit they had landed on them. He would have used magic if it wouldn't break about fifty different laws.
Lord Malfoy raised an eyebrow in shock. Holly buried her head in Draco's shoulder. She was suddenly very glad that they had cut their swimming short, and came to this cafe. Thank Merlin for Luna and her constant need of snacks.
It had never really occurred to her that she would be desirable to someone. She knew she was pretty in an abstract way, that she was pretty to Draco, but the practicalities of that hadn't occurred to her yet.
Lord Malfoy gripped his wand in his pocket and employed every ounce of control he possessed to not let the children see the rage he felt. He nodded to Lady Malfoy, who quickly had the children ready to go.
