Rodrick walked in. "Oh hey, I thought you already left. How are you?" he says sitting next to me on the couch. "I'm fine, don't worry Greg and Manny are asleep. Oh and there's leftover pizza in the fridge."

Roderick ran to the fridge to grab a slice of pizza and put in the microwave. I start laughing. The Heffley boys all love pizza. He sits back next to me and and eats his slice of pizza.

I'm not going to lie, watching him eat leftover pizza next to me kind of made me realize he was cute. I know, that sounds really weird. But i'm starting to think I might have a very small crush on Rodrick.

"So how was babysitting my brothers?" he asks. I smile "It was actually fun".

"Come on, you don't have to lie to me just because they are my brothers, no one likes hanging out with them. Its actually impossible." Rodrick mocks me. "Why? you jealous because they are cooler than you?" I say sarcastically.

"What could you have possible done with my younger brothers that you consider to be fun?" He asks. "Well we played video games, played with toys cars and ordered pizza, which you are eating so quickly right now"I say half jokingly.

He stares at me and starts laughing, I join in too. "Hey, you told me I could eat the pizza!" he defends himself jokingly.

Then we hear the door open

Mr and Mrs Heffley came in. "Wheres Manny and Greg?" Mr Heffley asks me. "Oh I put them in bed, was that not okay?" I say, I really hope I didn't mess up. "No that's impressive actually, Manny never sleeps early and Greg always puts up a fight"

I am so relieved. "She actually thought it was fun babysitting them" Rodrick added. I laugh "Greg and Manny were amazing and we had a lot of fun." I tell the parents.

"Well then y/n, it looks like we have to hire you as our official babysitter from now on, only if you want to of course" Mr Heffley tells me.

"Of course, I'd love to" I smile.

"Sweet" Rodrick says, "I need someone to make fun of" he teases me.

I walk out of the Heffley house and I close the front door. I slam my body into the door smiling to myself.

I have a crush on Rodrick Heffley.

Having my head up against the door I hear Mrs Heffley say "She was cute huh Rodrick?" and Rodrick replies with "oh my god mom".

I realize how creepy I was still outside the Heffley's house so I walk home.

I arrived home, as soon as I walk in mom asks me how the babysitting went.

"It was actually really fun, they want me to babysit more in the future" I explain to her. "Oh good job y/n! I'm really proud of you" she tells me.

I go up to my room and I fall asleep.

Nothing significant happens at school and at the end of the day Rodrick comes up to me while i'm at my locker.

"Hey Anderson, my mom wants me to ask you if you're free to babysit on Saturday." he says. "Yeah I am, just text me and tell me what time"

"I'm going to be home this time though, apparently its a very fun experience" he says slyly. "I'm sorry but cool kids only" I tell him sarcastically. We both start laughing when Rodrick freezes.

"Don't look but Heather Hills is behind you. quick pretend I said something funny" Oh right, I forgot about his obsession with Heather Hills. I fake laugh as she walks past but of course she doesn't even notice him.

What the hell does he see in her?

"I uh have to go, Kim and Madison are waiting for me" I lie to Rodrick as I desperately try to get myself out of that situation.

I step outside the school and I happen to see Kim and Madison anyway. "Hey! we didn't think we'd see you." Kim says. "Guys I have to tell you something" I saw as we start walking.

"So yesterday I had to babysit at the Heffley's house, I kind of had a moment with Rodrick and now I think I have a crush on him but he really likes Heather Hills" I tell them.

"No freaking way y/n Anderson has a crush" Madison mocks me.

"Okay guys shut up, i'll get over it. I do have to go to his house on saturday though, i'm babysitting his brothers again" I tell my friends.

"You're STILL going to babysit??" Kim says, I can tell she's questioning me but I explained to her that I actually do like babysitting those kids.

"Sure you do" Madison says but I can tell she's being sarcastic.
