Niki was keeping an eye for Nick. She spotted the Texan and quickly made her way to talk with him

: Do you remember anything?

: I remember myself getting picked up by a gi-

: Shut up, you moron!

: Why?!

: You need to keep his appearance a secret!

: HOW COME?!

: BECAUSE IT'S THE ONLY PERSON GEORGE HAS BEEN HAPPY WITH! NO ONE IN HIS HOME CARES FOR HIM BUT ME! YOU MISTREAT HIM AFTER HE'S BEEN MISTREATED! THAT GIANT HEALED HIM AND IS CARING FOR HIM! SOMETHING NEW FOR GEORGE!

Nick stayed silent. He never knew George was abused. He noticed Niki making her way towards the school as he walked after her

Once classes were finished, Nick caught up with Niki as both made their way towards the forest. He was feeling a bit uneasy as he heard the silence of the forest

: Why are we here?

: I want to go see George and Dream

: W-W-What?!

: You owe George an apology, and you must stay with me to protect and keep this secret, or you will be dealing with an angry giant

: *gulp* O-O-Ok

Niki waited as she and Nick noticed a barrier opening. George came out alone as he noticed Niki and ran to hug her, but backed away when he noticed Nick

: What's he doing here?

: Nick wants to give you an apology

: I'm sorry for mistreating you. I didn't know you've been living a nightmare

: It's alright

: No it's not! You could've died!

: You had no idea how I was living. Only Niki knew since we became friends and now you as well...and Dream

Nick backed away as the barrier closed. He noticed George walking past and into the opening field that goes downhill

"Where are you going?" Niki asked as George stopped to wait for Nick and Niki to catch up. "I'm going to get Dream a cook book. He is a really great cook!" George said as the trio entered the store

George noticed Niki grabbing a thick cook book with 5,000 recipes. George nodded as she went to the cashier to pay for it. Nick questioned, "How in the world is Dream going to read that book? It's so tiny in his point of view!"

George smiled, "He's had practice when he told me to get it for him."

They walked back to the forest, but before they made it in, they all heard a man scream, "GEORGE! COME HERE! I SEE YOU!!"

George turned to see Mr. Kendall running towards him with fury. The teen sprinted into the forest, leaving Nick and Niki behind as they watched with terror

Mr. Kendall rushed, unaware of 2 people following him as he tried to see where his "son" went. He looked around, but no sign. He growled and walked away, fearing about the news of the giant as he dashed out

: Holy shit!

: That's what George lives with. He has to deal with his fucking father!

: Not just that, his father went through the barrier!

: I know. George said his giant made it that way to make it less suspicious

Both walked out to see Mr. Kendall with a police officer as he was writing down on his notepad. He nodded and took something from Mr. Kendall's hand and looked at it. He nodded again and handed back a photo of George as they walked towards the forest

Niki led Nick away as they watched dogs sniff and follow George's scent. Nick was worried, hoping they wouldn't find George, but his thoughts were wrong when they heard dogs barking

: They found the barrier!

: It's invisible

: But the dogs know when the scent finished and they're just there!

The officers were confused with their dogs' behavior. They stopped nearby the heart of the forest and they've been barking for a while. The officers pulled the leashes and the dogs followed

Nick has to keep this secret. Not just that, he asked Niki, "Have you noticed when he speaks of Dream, he blushes?" Niki laughed, "I did. He has a crush on a giant. Quite rare, don't you think?"

Nick smiled. He will support George in any way to keep Dream safe. It seemed he's the only one who's keeping George safe, and happy

Night fell and Nick met Niki by the forest. They walked until they found the area where the barrier was. They heard laughter and walked in that direction. To their surprise, Dream was out of the barrier

He lying on the floor with someone next to him. George was smiling and his face turned red. The giant used his finger to turn George's face to meet his eyes once again. Both stared deeply as George stood up and walked towards Dream's face

To Nick's surprise, his face was unmasked, though the mask was facing towards Nick and Niki. George extended his arm and stroke his nose. It made Dream blush and doze off as George gently stroke Dream's nose

"Hey, George!" Niki called. The giant placed the mask on and relaxed to see Niki. He tensed when he noticed Nick, the one who bullied George. He sat up as George ran to Nick's side

: Dream, meet Nick, Nick, Dream

: I k-know. We've m-m-met b-before

: I know

: Nick and I talked about our situation. He is now on peaceful terms with me. Please don't hurt him

: *sigh* If you're a friend of George's, then I guess

: Thanks, Dream! You're the best!

: But you must keep my secret

: I know, because you're the only one who makes George happy

George smiled and hugged Nick, "Thank you! This means so much to me!" Nick chuckled, "No worries! I will support you in any way!"

They hugged and said goodnight as Dream placed his hand on the floor and George climbing on. He waved and the giant closed the barrier

Niki and Nick walked out and went back to their homes. They hoped Dream and George become a thing, but what if the police catches Dream? Nick shook off the thought and went to sleep
