George woke up and got ready for school. He wore a light blue hoodie to cover his bruises and scratches from last night

He walked out and noticed Niki out and waved at him. She and him walked to the school as she noticed he stayed silent again

: You ok?

: Yeah

: I'm so sorry. I wish I was more helpful with you. You need to get sent away to a new family!

: I can't. The parents need to sign the papers stating they don't want me with them, but as much as try to find a way to make them sign them, I only get punished more

: Can't you call the police?

: No. If I do, they'd find me and kill me

: That's horrible!

: Niki, I want to kill myself. I can't stand living like this anymore! I just wish I could find a better life, but I can't! I just want to fucking die!

George felt tears streaming down his cheeks and wiped them with his sleeve. He received a hug from his friend and he felt better. She might be the reason he never killed himself, but that doesn't mean she can help with his situation

Once they made it to school, they noticed students in rollerblades, skateboards, skates, phones with earbuds or headphones, and some wearing fancy clothing

George felt like he never belonged here. He bowed his head and noticed Niki's hand placing it on his shoulder and smiled. They walked in and George felt a push from behind. He fell face first and Niki saw a man with a white headband on his forehead

He was taller than both of them and he laughed. Niki pushed the male and yelled, "What's your fucking problem, Nick? He did nothing!"

Nick, or how the school knows him as Sapnap, laughed, "What did he do? He's here! If there was one day he goes missing or doesn't come to the school, I'd be glad!"

: So what? He deserves it! He's a fucking loser!

: If you try acting tough, you'll join him

Nick pointed at George as he weakly stood up. Niki helped him up and both walked to their classrooms

George couldn't pay much attention in the classrooms. Teachers noticed how he was silent and how he never seem to ask for help. They feared something was up, but he didn't want their help

Niki, on the other hand, was still thinking of what she saw. Her dream showed her running towards George as he stayed still. Once close, a pair of green lights like eyes glowed behind George. He bent his head down and turned towards the lights

It was odd. What was it about? Was it a message? Where was George going?

"Niki!" her teacher called as students snickered. She was in a trance. Her cheeks heated from embarrassment and she noticed her teacher sighing, "Niki, go to the principal's office."

Niki made her way to the office. She noticed George in the office as the principal tried her best to make George talk, but he stayed silent

Niki heard something. She heard a whisper. The whisper said, "George." Why him? Niki thought and noticed Nick fighting with someone in the hallway. Students chanted as Nick charged at his opponent

Teachers, counselors, and officers rushed to break the fight, but they noticed more teens joined in and battled as the officers called for help

The principal rushed out and Niki watched George run out of the school. She began to follow him and yelled, "George!"

The brunette slowed down and both panted

: She kept asking me questions about my life

Before George could say anything, a man was running towards them in fear. He looked at the young teens and said, "Have you heard the news? It's here! We're going to die!!"

George and Niki stared at each as George noticed the forest where the monster was at. It was the forest both teens have been playing around

George walked towards it as Niki stopped him

: George, no

: Niki, I just want to see it for myself

: What if the rumor is true? What if you don't come back?

: Don't look for me. It's what I've been wanting, right? If you don't want me to commit suicide, I think this would be a better option

Niki nodded as both noticed George's foster parents arriving. George sighed and walked inside the house as Niki heard yelling again
