Dream wakes up as George yelled, "DREAM! Come see this!" Dream gets out of bed and sees George watching the TV
News 12
A giant has been spotted last night by this woman
Tell us, how was it?
"It was 50 feet tall! It tried to shush me! I couldn't see its face nor clothes. It wore clothes!
I could tell it was male! His shush was kind of deep! He had a regular voice!
Unlike in the movies"
Thank you ma'am. No one is to go out at 12 a.m. and later!
"I don't believe it!" George says as Dream felt his fury rise. Though it instantly dropped when George hugged him, "If there was a giant, I hope it's friendly."
That confused Dream. He looked at George, "You wish to see one?" "Yes! I have been wanting to meet one. My parents told me stories that there are evil giants and there are good ones. The good ones are the ones who protect or just want to have a look. The evil ones are the ones that would kill or destroy the city. I wish I meet a good one." George finishes as Dream blushes
He wanted to tell George his secret so bad! I promised! Not today! He thought as he heard George call him to go to class
People in classes had their phones out. They were reading an article. Dream looked over someone's shoulder and saw what they looked at
Giant Slayer!
Come apply! (Teens & Adults Only)
Come giant hunting and the reward will be $1M
If caught, keep it alive!
Dream nervously played with his fingers. He was now being hunted down. Good thing no one knows that he's the giant. A student looks at him and asks, "Hey! You gonna apply?" Dream shakes his head no. "You should try it! It'd be great!" Dream felt anger bubbling. He wanted to hold that student and crush his bones, but he won't. He's friendly

George looked at the application and sadly nods, "I hope that giant is alive and hidden." Dream blushes and gets an idea. He looks at George in the eyes. George tries to look away, but he kept his gaze on Dream's beautiful emerald eyes
"What if your wish is true?" George heard the question. He replayed it in his mind. "You know where the giant is?" Dream nods slowly. George hugs the tall student. He blushes as George stays in the hug, "You're warm." Dream's body heats up as he walks away. His face was a blushing hot mess. He was red and he tried to shake it off
He's so damn cute! I want him! I need him! Dream thinks as he washes his face
Back at the dorm, George gets ready. He wears a short sleeve light blue shirt, black ripped jeans and gray shoes. Dream has his lime green hoodie, black ripped jeans, and green shoes
"Are you sure you want to meet the giant?" Dream asks as George nods. Dream and George walk out and into the forest. Dream feels nervous as every minute passed. He didn't know how to tell George he was the giant
He sighs and says, "We'll meet him tonight." "Why?" George asked as Dream gave in, "George, I am the giant."
George stares at Dream blankly. They both stare and finally look away. "That's not true!" George exclaimed as he looked up to Dream, "I mean, you are to me. I'm 5'9." "I'm...6'3?" Dream asks as George nodded while giggling. Dream loved seeing George smile
"Tonight! I'll see you by the window in my other form!" Dream smiled as George nodded, still not believing Dream is a giant. Dream left as George went back to the dorm

Night fell and George waited. Is he serious? Was he telling the truth? George had his thoughts crowding his mind. He blushed as he thought of Dream as a giant. He would be perfect! What am I thinking? George sighs and takes a shower
He wears the same clothes from earlier as he waits by the window. "George!" a whisper came from outside. George looked around as he noticed there was no one. He looked farther, still nothing. "George!" the whisper called again. "Where are you?" George whispered back as it said, "I'm in front of you!"
George looked straight. He could see a figure. A face. Its eyes stared at him as George felt a shiver go down his spine. The face lifted. To George's surprise, it was real. Dream was now the 50-foot giant. He nervously looked down at the window as George backed away a little
Dream sees the small boy back away as Dream said, "Wait! Please don't tell anyone! I just wanted someone to know my secret. I have been keeping this inside because many would react that way. I shouldn't have told you!"
George smiles nervously as he watched the giant sniff. He got closer to the window and didn't notice he got out. George felt himself slipping off and screamed, "HELP, DREAM!"

Apollyon's Curse
Within the pages of folklore and fantasy, tales of people who chase after the dream of eternity, of living forever, rarely find a happy ending. They are either struck by the grim truth of reality, give up, and return to mortality or face a ghastly realization of their wishes. The latter often the worse fate, as they come to realize, only far too late, that what they sacrificed was worth far more than the time they gained. Ultimately, the common thread in these stories is that “immortality is as much a curse as it is a blessing”. People either realize it early and give up or are doomed to inevitably face its consequences. In the world Enrich lives in, that saying does hold merit. Every pathway towards eternal life has shackles of its own. They bring those high above down to the ground, evening the playing field. It is thanks to these fundamental laws that ambitious mortals are able to defy the heavens and achieve immortality themselves. The variety of methods result in each of these bindings varying in intensity and degree of freedom. Enrich’s path doesn't break this trend. Though, after what he did to himself, most wouldn’t even consider him a living thing anymore. On the day of his ascension, a world’s worth of souls were melted and recast. On that day, the human’s path had reached its conclusion, recast into Apollyon. An artifact, a weapon, is eternal, after all. As for the curse? The payment will be made, as it must. So why not offload the curse to someone else? Mortals throw their lives away for all manner of petty reasons, noble or otherwise, especially in desperation. Eventually, someone will be willing to foot the bill. Most will if given the chance. The bait is far too tempting, after all. Power, status, knowledge. All at their fingertips. If only they say “yes”. And Apollyon is very willing to help any lost souls. If they give up everything in return, of course.

Again
Most villains, no matter how terrifying, are defeated by a hero on the first try. The hero may be forced to flee or otherwise delay the real confrontation, but it’s still certain that he will win when it occurs. But some villains simply defeat all comers. Against an opponent like that, the only options are to give up or to try again. --- This story is a participant of the WriTEr's pledge. In short, I promise to finish it, and may I be Hall of Shamed if I don't.
