《{WICKED GAMES} Mitsuya x Fem!Reader》seventeen

After leaving to change into the lavender dress that fits almost as if it had been tailored just to you, you walk back into the room you had left Mitsuya and Hakkai.
Hakkai's mouth drops as his eyes catch on you. "Woah, you look stunning, Y/N! That dress looks perfect on you!"
Mitsuya nods proudly at his work. "Mhm. I made it for her, that's why."
"You did?" you smirk. "When did you have time to put this together? Were you really planning to help me out this whole time?"
"Alright, fine. I'll admit it. I did throw it together last night," he shakes his head.
"You made that overnight!?" Hakkai asks, completely shocked at his friend's talent.
"Mhm," Mitsuya nods as he walks past you and over to his desk. You follow after him and observe as he pulls out a small container of an essential oil.
"What are you going to do with that?" you ask skeptically.
"Hakkai's going to bring you to the club now," he half-answers your question.
"What? Now?! But you haven't even told me what the plan is yet!"
"I'm getting to that," he sighs as he looks over to Hakkai. "You cool with giving her a ride?"
Hakkai nods politely, agreeing to the plan.
"Cool. From what I observed last time before you met with Kisaki, Hanma had made sure you were seriously inebriated probably in the hopes that you wouldn't remember much of the night. However, if we're going to have this plan make any kind of sense, you need to be thinking clearly, got that? No drinking. No drugs."
"I got it, dad, but how are we going to get past that then?" you pout.
Mitsuya opens the cap to what you now see is peppermint oil and dabs a bit of it onto a cotton swab. "Look up," he says as he reaches for your chin.
You do as you're asked and gently he begins to rub the oil under your eyes. You can't help the feeling of itchiness and watering that overwhelms you, but you muddle through as he rubs the oil onto your skin. When he lets go, you blink a few times and feel your eyes begin to burn.

"Holy shit, your eyes are bright red!" Hakkai gasps.
"You'll tell Hanma that you got high before getting there. Put on a happy attitude and he should buy into it by the looks of you... depending on how well you can act."
"Shouldn't be a problem," you smile at him and receive a small grin back.
"How will that get Y/N guaranteed to meet Kisaki?" Hakkai asks, breaking a sudden silent moment of you and Mitsuya staring at each other.
"Once she finds Hanma she'll complain to him about Draken and Emma's engagement saying she'll do anything to break them up," Mitsuya explains as he looks away from you and tosses the cotton swab into the trash.
"He'll probably suggest that he and Kisaki can help me out in exchange for another favor like they had me doing before. What do I do about that?" you ask.
"Agree to it. They're going to come up with a plan that involves Otsuda and if you're going to learn anything about that then you're going to need to gain their trust. Whatever it takes, okay?"
"Okay," you nod a bit worriedly. "Got it."
"After that you'll have to play it by ear depending on what Kisaki's plan is, but once they can trust you, you should be able to get some info off that Otsuda guy at the very least."
"Right. I think I'm ready," you say as you turn to Hakkai.
Hakkai nods and stands up from his spot on the floor. Together, the two of you head to the entrance of the house. Mitsuya bends down and grabs a pair of silver heels he'd left under his desk before meeting you at the front door and handing you the shoes.
"When you're done, text me and I'll drive over. We'll meet two blocks east of the club so it looks like you're heading home."
"Thanks," you nod as you accept the shoes. "That's a good plan."
You and Hakkai then together step outside of the house and board his bike. After getting a helmet slapped over both your and Hakkai's heads by Mitsuya, the two of you wave and drive off.
When you get near the club, Hakkai ends your ride only about one block away. You hop off and thank him, waving as you say you'll call him and Mitsuya when you're done.

"If anything goes wrong, call us right away," Hakkai tells you before placing his foot on the gas.
"I will, but I'll be fine. I promise."
Hakkai nods and waves one last time before driving off. You rub your eyes a few times on your walk to the front entrance of the club where you then walk right up to the bouncer.
"Yo! Y/N, been awhile!" he chuckles.
You smile widely so as to sell off the idea you're already super baked. "Yep, but here I am! Hope you didn't miss me too much!"
The bouncer chuckles and lets you right on into the club without holding you up any longer. When you get inside, after being pat down and sent through a metal detector (which is certainly new), the sight of the club from the inside and several memories you hold hits you smack in the face like a truck.
Alright... Now all I gotta do is find Hanma and then- WOAH!
Suddenly, someone's grabbing you by the hand and pulling you towards the side of the club. "Y/N!" they shout before throwing their arms around you. "Oh my God, it's been so long!"
"Huh?" you question as you begin to vaguely remember the girl before you as someone you'd hang out with often when you came to the club. She was one of the ones who was always up to get high in the bathroom with whomever she could find.
You look past her, still trying to find Hanma. To your surprise, your eyes land on him descending the staircase and scanning the crowd as well. "I, uh..." you say to the girl as you try to come up with any kind of excuse to get away from her. But then Hanma's eyes catch onto yours. They seem to narrow, almost as if he was squinting to get a better look at you from the distance you were at.
"Wanna do a few lines in the bathroom?" your friend suddenly gasps.
Perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad idea to go with her. If you did, Hanma would certainly get the hint that you weren't in the right state of mind like Mitsuya said he wants you in. You won't do any coke, though. Not tonight. If you can think of a way to fake it...
"Uh sure," you reply slowly before getting whisked away into the restroom.
Your friend, now joined by a few other somewhat familiar-looking strangers, offer you a bit of white powder. Thankfully, a couple of them are rubbing instead of snorting and that gives you a good idea.
You use your right hand to dip into the soft, white powder that they had laid out for you and when they took their eyes away for a brief moment, you'd use your other hand to fake rubbing the drug into the gums of your mouth while wiping the rest of the powder between your fingers and onto the floor behind you carelessly.
You then smile and step forward towards the sinks to wash the rest of it off your hands, excusing yourself as you claim to be a bit of a germaphobe.
"Hey, so, where have you been lately, Y/N?" one of the girls asks you.
"Oh, I, uh, was a bit down lately since this guy I had a crush on proposed to one of my friends..."
"No way!" they gasp. "Hanma cheated on you?!"
"What?!" you shout. "Hanma?!"
The girls look amongst themselves, looking even more confused than you. "We thought you were with Hanma... That's what we heard."
"You're so lucky," one of them sighs dreamily. "He's so handsome..."
"But be careful," the girl who you had met out in the club before warns. "He's a gang member, you know. Who knows what the lot of them do when they go up to the second floor."
"Gang?" you repeat, feigning confusion. "What gang are they in?"
"Like you don't know," she chuckles. "You're always up there, aren't you?! They're from the Otsuda gang obviously!"
"Otsuda gang?!" you squeak out. "I never heard of them..."
"It's some new gang apparently," another girl shrugs. "Heard they're really tough, though."
"Be careful, Y/N."
"Yeah, be careful! They're scary..."

Necromancer's Resolve
Foster Locke's life wasn't the harshest it could have been. But it wasn't the easiest either. Despite losing the last of his family and having immense debt thrown on him, getting the chance to keep practicing Martial Arts pulled away, and having a completely messed up sleep-schedule, he usually tried his best to stay positive to the outside world. Of course, that wasn't always possible, especially not when he was staring into the glowing eyes of a man-eating creature he had never heard of before. The glowing message-box that accompanied it wasn't much better either. Not to mention the fact that he was suddenly in a dark forest instead of the train station. This isn't a story of great anguish, inescapable peril, or heroic world-saving. Rather, it's one of a young man trying to get by in a world that seems to try his best to kill him. I hope you enjoy the read. --- Cover Image temporary [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
