《{WICKED GAMES} Mitsuya x Fem!Reader》nine

After the meeting has ended, Hina runs up to you calling out your name. You turn around to face her and see a huge smile spreading across her pink cheeks.
"Wasn't that the most exciting news?!" she beams. "I'm so glad Emma could invite me today!"
Oh, so that's why she and Yuzuha are here... That makes sense.
"I wonder if Takemichi would ever propose to me," she then sighs dreamily.
"I'm sure you will," you assure her, despite wanting to barf in your mouth. You love Hina and all, but this is the last conversation you want to be having right now. Especially while you're being forced to think about that horrible engagement.
As she continues to talk, you subtly look past her trying to look for Hakkai and Mitsuya to see if they're alright. However, Yuzuha and Emma approach you instead.
Great, just what I need, you think to yourself sarcastically.
You begrudgingly congratulate the two of them and give them a hug. You know it's wrong to feel this way towards your friends, especially when nothing is their fault, but you can't help but feel jealous and disdain. The guilt is beginning to tear you up inside. Perhaps that's why you feel like you are going to throw up.
"Thanks, Y/N!" Emma smiles. "Next it's Hina's turn, hm? When do you think that'll happen?"
Hina lets out a small gasp, not happy that Emma just read her thoughts like a book. Her face turns red as she looks amongst the three of you while unsure of what to say in response.
"Ummm..."
Yuzuha chuckles and saves Hina from the embarrassment. "Or maybe Y/N will find someone first!"
"That may be more likely considering, well, Takemitchy..." Emma agrees.
Yuzuha nods and lets out a sigh. "I only wish Hakkai wasn't so... Hakkai! If he wasn't so shy it wouldn't be a horrible match."
You playfully shake your head, reminding the three of them that you don't think of Hakkai that way. If only they knew you were in the middle of getting over your previous crush.
And speaking of the devil (well, thinking, really), Draken's tall figure walks up from behind Emma. You watch as he gently places a hand on her shoulder, though you would swear at the same time his eyes were glaring down at you wishing he could wring your neck.

As his arm slowly lowers to wrap around her waist, you feign a polite smile towards him. It's definitely for the best, you remind yourself, that you're getting over him. But damn, you didn't think he was this pissed off at you. He definitely didn't believe a word of Mistuya's story.
"Draken, have you seen Mitsuya or Hakkai?" you ask him, hoping to get yourself out of this situation.
Yuzuha nudges you and smirks over the fact that you're looking for her brother. When Draken points you in the right direction you thank him and walk away.
"You're not funnyyy," you hum to Yuzuha jokingly as you pass and wave goodbye. She smiles and you notice she waves back before you turn to leave.
You find Hakkai a little ways away looking seriously awestruck. You pat his shoulder as you approach him from the side. "Your sister's engaged. You had no idea, did you?"
Hakkai shakes his head slowly at a complete loss for words.
"Everyone else was surprised, too," you admit. "I mean, I thought I was close to him but even he reacted differently than I thought he-"
"Huh? Wait, who are you talking about?" he asks, looking over at you skeptically.
"Mitsuya. He looked really strange before and now I can't find him," you sigh.
"Wait, you mean he didn't tell you?"
"Tell me about what?"
Hakkai shakes his head once again and dismisses the comment. "Nothing, it's nothing."
"Alright, well have you seen him anyway?" you ask.
"He left right after the meeting ended," he replies.
"Damn that jerk! He was my ride," you groan.
Hakkai smiles softly. "I can give you a ride if you'd like," he offers.
"I'd appreciate that, but you don't have to go out of your way for me."
"Please, it's not a big deal. I don't mind," he assures you. "Besides, I'd like to drive around and clear my head, too."
"Okay, let's go then," you smile.
Hakkai nods and the two of you begin the walk back to his bike. You walk slow; neither of you are in a rush. Besides, the company is better than being alone.
"I wonder when it happened," you think aloud as you walk beside him. "I mean, when Yuzuha even started going out with this mystery guy."

"About the same time Mitsuya was introduced to Kisaki's bar," Hakkai sighs.
Hm, that was a few weeks after I started going there, too.
"That was a while ago," you murmur. "I didn't even know she had a boyfriend all this time... God, I really do need to get out of that damn club more."
"It's alright," he assures you. "I'm pretty sure I did meet this guy once, actually, but I never thought anything of it..."
Hakkai trails off just as you approach his motorcycle. He passes you his helmet before swinging his leg over the side and waiting for you.
"You met him?" you ask as you board the bike. "Who is he?"
"I dunno," he grumbles. "I think maybe she said Chi.. Chikao? Maybe?"
You ponder this mysterious man as you wrap your arms around Hakkai. "Hmm.. I don't remember seeing him at a Toman meeting before."
"Ready to go?" he asks.
"Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm ready."
Hakkai nods and revs the engine before taking off. He's quiet for a moment again before picking up the conversation right where you had left off.
"Honestly I've never seen the guy at a meeting before either. He must just be some random person she met!" he yells over the loud noises of wind and other cars on the road.
"Yeah, you're probably right," you agree.
For the rest of the ride, you enjoy a peaceful silence. He's taking you the long way home, you and he both know it. It's nice; better than being at home by yourself at least. Hakkai's always been good at reading the room like he knows things without you even having to tell him. Your good friendship is most likely the reason why Yuzuha wanted to set you up with her younger brother.
When you get to your house you take off Hakkai's helmet and return it to him, thanking him for letting you borrow it.
"It's no problem," he smiles shyly.
"Cool, then I'm gonna put you out once more and ask you to come in," you grin as you get out your keys.
I'd rather him stay here and cool down for a bit than go out alone like that... He really doesn't look so good.
Hakkai agrees, probably thinking it'd be rude of him to say no. You usher him in and sit him down on the couch, placing some mind-numbing television on to distract him. However, when you look over and see the distraught look still on his face, you know your plan isn't going so well.
With a sigh, you admit to him, "I already knew about Draken and Emma..."
"You did?!" he quickly responds, snapping his head to the side to face you. "How?"
Though he's looking intently across at you, you let out a deep breath and place your head on his shoulder to avoid eye contact. Looking across at the television and whatever show you had randomly chosen first, you break the truth to him. This is the first time, since telling Kisaki (thanks to Hanma's insisting), that you're telling anyone about that day.
"I was there for it," you groan. "I got up that morning telling myself I was just going to run right up to Draken and confess that I liked him... but that didn't go as planned," you groan.
Stunned, Hakkai can't think of a response as fast as the wheels are turning in his brain. Sure, all of you are friends at Toman, and like I've said Hakkai's pretty good at figuring you out, but that doesn't mean he expected this at all.
"You? And Draken?!" he mutters.
"Oh shut up," you sigh once more, "I'm over it. Let's just watch TV, okay?"
"Yeah, okay."
Eventually, your eyelids begin to get heavy. They flutter closed against your will. You tell yourself you'll just listen to the show and open your eyes when something important happens, but you just end up falling asleep.
About three hours later when the sun begins to go down does Hakkai gently shake you awake. You apologize profusely, but he assures you that it's perfectly fine.
"I enjoyed the quiet company." He smiles at you as you walk him to the front door. "And you made me feel a bit better, too. Thanks, Y/N."
"Anytime," you smile back. "Oh, and let me know if you hear from Mitsuya. I'll try calling him in a bit as well."
"Sure thing," he nods as he steps out of your house.
You wave goodbye and watch as he boards his bike and smiles once more before he leaves. After he's gone you shut the door and unlock your phone to call Mitsuya.

Long Shadow
No destiny, no choice, no hope. Our protagonist, a coward summoned to a world meant for heroes; a new world with new rules and old cruelties. Join him on his adventures as he must deal with menus, monsters, and mysteries in this litrpg fantasy. Thomas Goodwill was an average boy with an average life, all that changed when he woke up in a new reality. Now, out of his depth, damn near out of his mind, he must learn to survive in a game-like reality with no reloads, checkpoints, or save scumming. He does, however, have a drunk snake. Thank you for reading my first story, hopefully, the first of many to come. This will be my main story and is meant to help me practice and hone my skills as I slowly produce more complex ideas. It's a litrpg in which I want to only lightly focus on the mechanics as I don’t want to pad out the word count with math and number tables and while I want to add a few of my own twists here and there, overall I’m going to keep this story close to generic as possible so that I don't let my inexperience lead me into a corner. Thanks again to all willing to leave a review or some constructive criticism, without you I'd never improve. Unfortunately, Cover art is by me.
8 554Warmage: A Progression Fantasy
As the daughter of a renowned War Hero, Shaya was destined for a life of heroism and glory. A life she desired more than anything else – until her mother sacrificed herself for the cause and the very Empire she died for stole Shaya’s dreams from her. Cunning and resourceful, Shaya worked hard to keep her and her brother safe, clawing themselves out of a system set against them and gaining the power they needed to find their way in life again. Now, she’s achieved the first step of her dreams: she's been accepted to the prestigious Imperial Academy of War and Magic. In order to become the best gods damned Warmage around, all she has to do is overcome the Imperial system that wants to see her fail and control the demonic blood in her veins that wants for nothing but rage and violence. ...but hey, every obstacle is an opportunity to exploit – if you’re willing to think smart and work hard. Updates Sunday - Tuesday - Thursday![successful participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Rating: This should align pretty closely with your typical MCU movie, so PG-13 for scenes of fantasy violence. There'll be gore and some swearing but not much beyond that. If that changes, I'll warn you. MC: Shaya is analytical, but begins the story emotional and impulsive. She leans towards rationality and uses this to control her demonic impulses to the best of her abilities. She begins the story as a somewhat capable protagonist, but grows in power steadily through hard work and diligence. Fights: ...I like fight scenes. They’re going to be detailed, but I won’t drown you in description of individual hand movements or footwork. I like fights that can be solved like puzzles by the audience, where creative thinking wins the day using tools you know the protagonist has at their disposal.

Hey yo. This is gonna be more of a diary entries than a story but hey. This will contain some game aspects, reincarnation and blah blah blah.1st arc: Well isn't this just dandy. This story follows a random guy who just happens to win a poker match against a whole pantheon of gods in an ametuer poker tournament. He won the tournament then went home, afterwards dying by slipping on a banana peel to an open manhole then being eaten by a sewer croc of legends. Ok fine he died by hitting his head too hard on the concrete floor. The random guy just so happens to die on the same day as eleven other random people caused by slipping of a banana peel. Oh yeah they also have beaten the mentioned pantheon of gods one way or another, well an example would be rock paper scissors, an mmo, drinking games and more. In simple terms they're shit at games. What could possibly go wrong.
