Today is my last day of school and I'm very, very excited. Not to miss out on school because that's actually the part I dread, but mom promised to get me started on a new school as soon as possible.

We haven't told Miss Brook or the rest of the class yet and after school, we'll go on a road trip, away from here and to my new home. I've almost finished my homework which means the bell could ring any second.

I notice mom, or should I say Miss Olsen sitting in her chair nervously while Miss Brook is explaining something about last week's homework. Mom stands up, making Miss Brook look confused at her.

"Miss Olsen?" She questions her. Miss Olsen clears her throat, looking between Miss Brook and the class. "I will be ending my internship as of tomorrow, so today is my last day here." She states confidently, earning a few gasps around the room.

Miss Brook laughs, waving it away. "That's not possible dear, you signed a contract."

Mom looks up at me with a raised eyebrow but a soft smile. "I have a pretty good lawyer." She winks at the teacher, right before the bell rings. I had already packed my bag and ran up to mom, who lifted me up.

Miss Brook looked in shock at us, making me giggle. I gave her and the class a small wave as I got carried outside of the school. Mom put me in the backseat, making sure I was buckled in before getting in the car herself and starting our journey.

I take out my sketchbook, wanting to draw my old school. In a few years, I hope to look back at this drawing, not being able to remember where this was and how I got treated. I hope my bad memories will be replaced by good ones, but I doubt that is how the world works.

After drawing for an hour or two, I decide to take a nap. I planned on only sleeping for a short while, but when I wake up the car is parked. I rub out my eyes, noticing that mom isn't in the car with me.

I look out of the window, seeing a large and beautiful house which I don't recognize. I unbuckle my seatbelt, trying to get out of the car but the door won't open. I look around the car, ending up on mom's door.

My door never opens when she does, so I decide to climb into the driver's seat, accidentally bumping the horn while doing so. I attempt to open the door, a big smile forming on my lips when it actually opens.

I climb out of the car, struggling to keep my balance when my feet touch the ground. It's made out of small white stones. I bend down to pick on up, bringing the stone close to my face to inspect it. It's really white and smooth.

"Don't eat that!" An faintly familiar voice shouts at me. I look up to see an older woman standing looking intently at me with a soft smile. She is a few feet away from me, standing between me and the front door of the house. I smirk at her, opening my mouth widely and slowly bringing the stone to my mouth.

It's not like I actually plan on eating it, but since I have nothing better to do I would like to see her reaction. Her smile drops as she runs towards me. When she's almost there I run around the car, deceiving her and make my way to the front door she just blocked.

"Casey don't you dare eat that!" She shouts, making me giggle. I try not to focus on the fact that she knows my name, but apparently, my mind has other plans. I trip over my own feet, my knees and hands catching me before I'm able to hit the ground.

I look over my shoulder, seeing the woman approach me with a worried look. I immediately stand up, still looking at her. When my feet start to walk again, I bump into someone. I turn to look at a pair of legs.

My eyebrows furrow when I look up, seeing a woman that looks a lot like mom but her hair is different and she is shorter. "Ash stop the girl." The older woman shouts behind me, sounding out of breath. I smile at the woman. She has the same name as Scarlett in the movie sing.

She reaches down to grab me, but I manage to run away from her, past the older woman and back into the car. I press a lot of buttons until the car is locked. The two woman chuckle at each other as they slowly make their way to me, knocking on the window.

"She's smart." My sister, Mary-Kate mumbles as she looks out of the window. "Who is?" I question her while unpacking some of my bags. "Your daughter." She smirks at me.

"Casey's awake?" I mumble, dropping the bag I was holding and walking up to MK. I see Ashley and mom standing in front of my car. "She's locked inside." MK explains. I immediately walk past her to the front door.

"You could've told me she was awake!" I shout.

"Where's the fun in that!" Mary-Kate shouts back, making me chuckle. I run up to my mother and sister who don't notice me at all. "Are you two bullying my daughter?" I say sternly, making them both look up at me with innocent smiles.

"No." "I would never." They respond at the same time. I chuckle at them, pushing them aside to look through the car window. I see Casey sitting there with wide eyes, seemingly relieved as she sees me.

"Sweetheart, could you please open the door?" She nods slowly, pushing a few buttons until it opens. When it does so, she runs out of the car into my arms, burying her face in my neck. She's shaking slightly so I glare at my family before walking inside the house.

I help her take off her shoes, gently placing her down on the floor. Ashley and mom walk up to us. Ashley crouches down in front of Casey, putting on a sweet smile. "What is your name sweetheart?" She asks Casey softly, but Casey turns around to look at me with a raised eyebrow.

I chuckle at my sister "She doesn't talk Ash."

Ashley looks up at me in confusion until realisation hits her. She nods before looking back at Casey again with a determined look in her eyes.

"My name is a s h l e y" She says dramatically slow. Mary-Kate, who has joined us from the living room, slaps Ashley her head playfully. "She said she doesn't talk. That doesn't mean she's stupid." MK states while rolling her eyes.

"Well, how am I supposed to communicate with her? I want to be her favourite aunt." Ashley pouts disappointed. MK laughs before pushing her twin away and crouching down in front of Casey.

"Hi, my name is Mary-Kate. I'm sorry for my sister, would you like something to drink?" She asks with the sweetest smile. I love my sisters but MK barely shows her soft side like this, so I'm a bit surprised.

Casey turns around slowly to look at me with a questionable facial expression. "It's okay. Do you want me to take your coat and backpack?" I ask her. She shakes her head as she takes off her backpack and places it on the ground before taking off her coat and handing it to me.

She puts on her backpack again as she hesitantly takes MK's hand who smiles softly as she takes it and leads Casey further into the house. Just as they're about to turn the corner, MK turns around to look at Ashely with a wide grin.

Ashley crosses her arms with a pout while MK sticks out her tongue at her. I laugh at the two as I turn to hang up Casey's coat. "Guess she already has a favourite aunt." I mumble making Ashley hit my shoulder. "This isn't over yet." She states as she makes walks away.

God, I love them.

I follow them soon enough, seeing Casey sitting on a barstool, swinging her legs while sipping her drink through a straw. "What did you give her?" I ask MK as I sit beside Casey, stroking some hair out of her face.

"Vodka." MK shrugs casually making my eyes go wide as I reach for Casey her cup. MK laughs while pinning my hand down. "Relax it's just lemonade. I won't give her alcohol before 7 p.m." She says as if I'm crazy, but knowing Mary-Kate, there was a very high possibility it actually was vodka.
