Edd had dragged me to my personal room, which I rarely go into. We stopped in front of the door. Edd let go of my wrist and turned to face me. "Go visit Tom too, you haven't seen him in like... A LONG TIME!" Edd explained. "Also it might let off some of you stress too.." he looked up at me with a concerned look covering his face. I sigh in defeat. "Fineeee" I mumbled before heading inside my room, closing the door behind me.
I took off my blue over coat and hoodie, replacing them for a grey shirt. I took off my boots and my pants, to replace that too, with black sweatpants. I put my boots back on, since I'm coming back here anyway, so I'll take them off then. I take off my eyepatch, because this one was irritating and had some blood stains. I replace it with a new one. I grab a small bag, only putting in some equipment like, my walkie-talkie and a gun, just in case.
I head out of my room, locking the door. I start walking over to the infirmary. On the way there, some soldiers gave me some looks, to why I was wearing sleepwear, but the didn't question it.
I open the doors to the infirmary, looking for Toms room. Once found I head in. A medic finished up, replacing the bandages and heads out of the room, saluting me on the way out. I sat down on a nearby chair, near Toms bed. "Who's there..?" He asked curiously. "Its.. me... Tord..." I replied with a uncertain tone. "Oh... Edd had told me the you thought... this was all your fault..." I looked down to my boots. I stayed silent and Tom continued. "I just wanted to say... it isn't your fault... I'm not blaming you for what happened." "You should..." I mumbled. Apparently he heard that. "Well I dont. So don't try me.." he chuckled slightly.

"Hey.. Tord?" I replied with a 'hmm' "could I play around with your robotic are..?" "Aren't you blind..?" I asked. "Yes I am, but that can't stop me." I chuckled at his response. "Here." I place my robotic arm onto his lap. He started to fidget around with it. I rested me head on the infirmary bed. Surprisingly comfortable.
I played around with Tords robotic arm. I caused this. Yet, I guess he has forgiven me. I was about to ask him about it, but I heard light snores come from the commie. He must of been really tired to have past out on an infirmary bed. I sighed and pulled over some of the covers, placing them over Tord. He re-adjusted his sleeping position, to something more comfortable. Heh... he looks cute. I continued to play around with Tords arm, until I got bored. I soon fell asleep.

Discover the world with Alz as he sets off on an adventure, experiencing many new encounters, and overcoming obstacles along the way as he slowly delved deeper into the truths behind the world. --- IMPORTANT NOTE: This story is not fantasy-themed and not I didn't omit the fantasy tag by mistake. That said, there is meaning and significance to the title, except that it will be unveiled only much later into the story. Magical elements and the like will not be a factor in most of the story until the very end. tl;dr: This is not fantasy, magic doesn't play a role in the story. --- Updates: Will try to post a chapter once every 2 days PS. This is my first novel so there might be several issues in various aspects which I might not notice so comments are highly appreciated. --- This is more to add pressure to myself rather than anything else... but anyways the story is now part of the pledge!
