Alex and Conner were brought upstairs to the throne room. There was two pairs of handcuffs on the wall and Conner and Alex were put in them.
"What are we doing here?" Conner asked.
"Your here to meet your new leaders." The man in a dark robe said. "Here they come."
The men stepped out of the room, and two middle aged people came in. A women and a man. They both had black hair with a white streak in it, and had bright blue eyes. The women wore a red and white dress and wore a long velvet and fur cape, and the man wore a red and white suit with a gold sash.
"Well, well, well. This is a meeting we've been waiting for for decades." The women said. "My name is Evelyn, and this is my brother Edmund."
"Nice to meet you. So can you take these cuffs off now, so we can destroy you." Conner said.
"Your too old for that. Your weak. Your out of practice." Edmund said. "We've heard your story many many times. Especially from our mother."
"The Evil Queen, Evly." Alex said.
"No, our adoptive mother. Our real mother died the day she gave birth to us. We never got to know her." Evelyn said. "Our father didn't want anything to do with us, so we were given to a couple who were unable to have children. Everyday they would tell us stories about twins who were heroes, who saved our world many times and had powerful magic."
"We wanted magic, we wanted to feel special. We were just regular old kids. We wanted power, and once we were told about our mother and what she did, we knew the Northern Kingdom was supposed to be ours, not Snow Whites son. But we couldn't take over without magic." Edmund said.
"You took Ezmia's sons magic." Alex said.
"Yes, we did. We were almost ready to take over. But we didn't just want the Northern Kingdom, we wanted to rule over the entire world. But we wanted more magic, which is where you come in." Edmund said.
"You want our magic." Conner said. "Not a chance."
"We have the magic to do it though." Evelyn said.
"Not for long. We will find a way to defeat you. This world will soon be what it was, and you two will be locked up for the rest of your lives." Alex said.
"If you have the strength to do so." Edmund said and laughed. Conner rolled his eyes, he instantly hated these two.

"But before we take your magic, there is another person we need. Mr. Bailey, I think you know her...she's your granddaughter."
"I swear, you lay one hand on her, you'll regret it!" Conner said and tried to get his hands free.
"But first you must tell us where she is." Evelyn said.
"Why would I tell you?" Conner said.
"We know spells, spells you don't even know Ms. Fairy Godmother." Edmund said.
"We have ways for making you talk." Evelyn said. The twins snapped their fingers and magic sparkles appeared around Alex and Conner's eyes. Alex screamed as snakes and spiders appeared on the ground and came towards her. Conner's eyes closed as he saw images of his loved ones dead. His children, grandchildren, Alex...but one vision shocked him. It was Bree. Conner could feel their spell fade away, and he then slipped into what seemed like a dream.
Conner was in a dark place filled with dark purple light. He looked at the floor and saw his reflection. He gasped, he looked about 30 years younger.
"Oh my God! Where am I? Where did their crazy spell send me?" Conner said.
"Conner?" A familiar voice said.
"Wait, Bree?" Conner said. He saw a figure walk towards him. Once he recognized who it was he ran over.
"Conner." Bree said and smiled. Bree wore a long and simple purple dress and she also looked 30 years younger. Conner's eyes started the water, and he picked her up and kissed her.
"Oh Bree, I've missed you so much." Conner said as he cried.
"I've missed you too." Bree said as she hugged her husband tightly.
"Is this a dream?" Conner asked.
"Sort of. This is the vision realm." Bree said. "Edmund must have spelled you. He hasn't really mastered his greatest fear spell. Instead he's put you under a spell to see the vision realm."
"How do you know this?" Conner asked.
"Conner do you remember that day? The day I died?"
"Of course I do. We were at home, and then...wait I don't remember what happened next." Conner said. "That just be my mind forgetting things. I've been forgetting things lately. But this is something I don't think I would forget."
"Conner, you only remember those things because they've put a spell on you, and the kids, and Alex...everyone. Conner, I'm alive. They saved me. Please remember."
Conner ran through a portal with Bree in his arms. Bree was in a lot of pain and she passed out. Conner didn't know what to do, he knew the only person to help her would be Alex.

"Alex!" Conner yelled. Alex came down the stairs and ran to Conner.
"What are you doing here? What happened?" Alex asked.
"I don't know, she woke up in pain and then she passed out. She still breathing though. Alex please, you and magic are the only thing. The doctors couldn't help, they think she'll be dead within hours. Please Alex." Conner said through the tears. "I can't loose her."
"Bring her upstairs, I'll try." Alex said. Conner brought Bree upstairs and Alex followed. He set her on the bed and Alex looked at her and closed her eyes. Magic light came out of Alex's hands and went into Bree's body.
"It's not working." Alex said. "I'm sorry."
"We can heal her." A voice said behind them. Conner and Alex turned around and saw Evelyn and Edmund.
"Who are you? What do you mean?" Conner asked.
"We'll make you a deal. We can heal her. We know magic, that you don't Ms. Fairy Godmother. But we want something in return. Information."
"Alex, I have to take their offer." Conner whispered to Alex.
"No Conner. You don't know them. Plus what information do they need to know?" Alex said.
"Please help me, anything." Conner said to them.
"Conner no!" Alex said and grabbed his arm.
"Alex, if you knew you could save Arthur...I know you would." Conner said. "I have to take this."
"Conner, I'll find a way. Don't it's a trick." Alex pleaded. Conner thought about it. He couldn't imagine his life without Bree. He wasn't ready to be alone.
"Deal. Now help her." Conner said.
"Great." Edmund snapped her fingers and Bree and him disappeared.
"WHERE DID SHE GO? YOU LIED!" Conner yelled.
"We didn't lie. We will heal her, and the information we need will come from her." Evelyn said. He waved his hand and Alex passed out onto the bed, and Conner was transported back to his home back in the Otherworld and was asleep on his couch. He then spread his magic to everyone who knew Bree and made them think that she was dead.
"This is a lie. This is part of their spell." Conner said.
"No it's not Conner. I'm here, please believe me. I didn't want to give them the information they wanted, they stuck me here." Bree said and started to cry. "Conner please, these two are horrible. I can see visions of you and kids through this place but I can't talk to you. I can only communicate to you through this spell, when someone if put under this spell themselves."
"STOP! YOUR NOT ALIVE." Conner yelled not wanting to believe it.
"I am, Conner please!" Bree cried.
"Prove to me this is real." Conner said. Bree kissed him passionately and hugged him tightly.
"If I wasn't real would I kiss you and hug you like this." Bree said. "If you still don't believe me, we have three kids...Elizabeth, Matthew and Carrie. We have 5 amazing grandsons, Ayden, Grayson, Brighton, Sammy and Levi, and one amazing granddaughter Charlie. Please, please believe me. Don't leave me here."
"Only one person would remember the names of all our grandchildren." Conner said as he smiled and tears came to his eyes. "So your trapped here in this realm. Wait so am I not trapped here?"
"I'm here in this realm, but your not. Like this realms name, your having a vision, like a dream, but this dream is real." Bree said. "Edmund, has a tendency to put people under a spell where they can see this place and talk to the people here, but their not trapped like I am. I know it might seem complicated, but you have to just believe me. I'm real, and I'm here."
"Don't worry I'll save you. If it's the last thing I do."
"Conner, there another thing you need to do before saving me. Get our children out of this world. They found Charlie, they have her, she's safe. They're coming to save you."
"They're here? How did they find out?" Conner said. "And how do I get to this visions realm?"
Before Bree could answer, Conner woke up and was back in reality. But what he didn't know yet is that he still looked 30 years younger.
"Conner!" Alex said. "Are you ok? You've been out of it for hours."
"Alex...we've got to get out of here. Wait Alex you look, young again?"
"While you were passed out, they explained it. Apparently they know powerful spells I don't even know, and they haven't perfected them. This is a side affected, I think. Or they just messed up the spell." Alex said.
"If they messed up the spell, I actually want to thank them. This is awesome, I look 50 again." Conner said. "Anyways, Alex where are they?"
"They left, but I'm sure they'll be back. What happened to you?"
"I was in the vision realm. Alex...my kids are here, and they're coming for me, and..."
"And what?"
"Bree, she's alive."

My class [Death Knight] is just barely legal...
Ever since meeting his uncle, Arthur has pushed himself daily to achieve an arbitrary goal. He trained like nobody else did, longer than anybody else could. He neglected his personal relationships to pursue something he didn't even understand, in hindsight. When the time came for his class awakening ritual, he was ready. He was ready to receive a powerful starting class and to break free from his boring lifestyle. Well, you know what they say, "Be careful what you wish for, lest your wish be granted." Arthur was assigned the death knight class, which is just barely, technically, maybe legal. With it, he learns about what drove him to such simple minded ambition in the first place: his affinity. Now, he's faced with a dilemma: will he embrace it, or reject it? 'My class [Death Knight] is just barely legal' is a laid back story with occasional tension, that describes Arthur, a young man, exploring the world, the system and his own mental health as he pursues his ambitions. This story is the first serious fiction I ever wrote, so while criticism is definitely welcomed, keep it polite. I'm going to rewrite the first few chapters at some point, since they're not as good as my later ones, but I'm focusing on my current chapters first. I don't have time to do both yet, since I'm also in the middle of my exams. What to expect from this story: -Litrpg elements -A chaotic good aligned protagonist (that starts off as a neutral good protagonist) -(Hopefully) interesting characters. What not to expect from this story: -Grimdark elements -Harem -An enslaved protagonist. (I mention this due to the background of the mc's class) Release schedule: 1 chapter every other day, 2pm European time (14:00) Join the discord here: https://discord.gg/YHZFB4HMHD

Most people think having powers would be amazing. Not Nate. If he had it his way, he’d never use them and pretend they weren’t there. His powers, though, seem to have other ideas. Uncontrolled powers sound problematic on their own, but when people can destroy entire city blocks with a wayward glance, they become a whole new issue entirely. Nate has always felt like he’s had wary eyes watching him, waiting for him to slip up. So far, he’s managed to just barely keep his head down, but when his powers force him to step into the spotlight, he finds himself caught up in the one life he never wanted; heroism. Now, will he find a way to accept the powers he blames for all his problems, or will he crumble under the pressure? Note: I primarily upload on my website on Sundays . I'll upload here regularly up to a day after the chapters go live on the main site. Vote for aka on TopWebFiction! Feel free to join the aka Discord. The Girl Named Rino
Oh. Hello. I didn't see you come in. No, don't worry. I don't need to hear your name. I already know what it is. I also knew that you'd come up at around this time. But, at the same time, I also didn't know. It's very hard to put into words - but that's what happens when you become the Chaos God. Your psyche gets messed up, big time. That's even more so for me, who was already warped enough to confuse reality with imagination - and, even make the rest of the universe believe that it was so. But, enough about me. Let's talk about you. You seem to come from a very far away land. It's faint, but your presence is there - in a relatively primitive planet. No wonder, no one wanted to stay in, or conquer your region of the universe - there's nothing worth controlling there. Your existence, much like your entire solar system, also seems to be pretty insignificant. Tell me, is your race capable of destroying your own world? Oh, you're already well along the way? Global Warming? Pollution? Overpopulation? Nuclear weapons? Wow... it's been many millenia since I'd last heard of such ancient concepts from someone who is actually living through it. Still, good job getting that far. That means that your world is now, at least, worth considering as a possible place to install a World System. If I find the time, I'll try surveying it. You can just thank me, later. Oh wait! What kind of person am I, not even offering my guest any hospitality. I'm ashamed. Please, take a seat. What would you like? I have everything the multiverse has to offer, whatever it is you want - I can get. Ah! After we talk, would you mind, if I asked you to do me a tiny favor? There's this girl, I want to keep tabs on. She's in one of the Worlds that I preside over, it's called Aiarthe. But, for some reason, I can't see her - not directly, at least. All I need you to do, is check up on her from time to time. Whether you do it as a pure spectator or through someone else's eyes, is entirely up to you. Really!? You would!? Wow! Thanks! You really did me, a huge solid there! For agreeing so quickly, how about I get started on surveying that planet of yours, right now!? You can help yourself, to anything in the fridge! Well, see ya!
