《》Chapter 20

This morning during training, Theo had me do the usual. 100 squats, 50 laps, but this time he added in hurdles. Talk about embarrassing. By the time I got to the fourth hurdle, he was on the ground clutching his stomach from laughing so hard.
"I.. have never.. seen.. someone fail.. so bad.. at.. jumping hurdles." He says in between laughs, and I glare at him.
"I am a soccer player, not a ballerina! This is ridiculous, Ross." I yell at him and glare, and he looks up at me and pretends to wipe tears from his eyes. He gives me the most serious look.
"Obviously your dance lessons didn't pay off." Jacob who thought it would be fun to watch bursts out laughing again, and I begin to walk towards the gym door. I almost got to the knob when Ross ran in front of me and blocked the door.
"We're am done, I swear. Get back to your training." I roll my eyes and go back to running laps. The hurdles disappeared, so I guess he really wanted me to finish this training. Once I am finished my laps, Jacob walks over to me and looks me up and down.
"You are getting stronger." And Ross states, and I cross my arms over my chest.
"What are you talking about? I am strong. I mean, look at these guns." I hold up my arm and flex, and they laugh before look at each other and go completely serious and flexing there muscles.
"Show off's." I mumble as I walk towards the door, and they laugh. Ross goes to his office, and I walk up the stairs towards my bedroom. I almost got toppled by Alex on my way, but it is all good.

"Darcy! Please tell me you know how to cook." He yells, and I give him a confused look. Don't they have a cook here?
"Yeah, why do you need me to cook?" He practically gets on his knees and starts begging.
"Please, Darcy! I am starving! They don't feed me in this house!" I roll my eyes and laugh.
"I know you get fed, so what is the real reason?" He stands up and looks to the ground.
"The cook has the day off and Ross is angry at me because i broke his phone... and watch...and every clock in the house." He mumbles, and I burst out laughing , beginning to walk back downstairs.
"I guess I can whip something up." He jumps with joy and runs down the staircase.
"Praise the Lord, hallelujah! I'm not going to starve!" He runs into the kitchen, and I burst out laughing again. When I get to the kitchen, he is sitting on one of the stools with a fork and knife in his hand.
"What do you want?" I ask, and he shrugs his shoulders.
"Whatever you make best." I look around the kitchen and grab a pot. I then grab spaghetti noodles, salt, pepper, seasoning, tomatoes, and sauce. I turn on the stove and get all of the stuff ready. When the burner is heated, I set the pot of water on the stove and let it boil before I put in the spaghetti noodles. As that is cooking, I slice up some potatoes and put them on another burner. I let those cook, and put the tomatoes and seasoning in the spaghetti.
I pour salt and pepper on both the spaghetti and potatoes, and when the potatoes are a golden brown and the spaghetti is fully cooked, I take them off the burners and put them in bowls. I add the sauce to the spaghetti and sprinkle some Montreal on the potatoes, and then I grab plates.

I turn around to see that the whole household has joined, and it is a good thing I made extra. I set the spaghetti and potatoes on the table, and I have never seen people wrestle over food so much. Once everybody has what they want, I grab a plate and give myself some food. I sit beside Hazel at the table, and everyone begins to eat.
"I'm keeping you forever, Darc. This is amazing." Alex says as he stuffs his face and I laugh. Ross and Charles shake their heads to agree. Jacob turns to me and gives me a smile.
"I agree, sis. You got some talent hidden up your sleeve."
After dinner i went to me and Rosses room to watch twilight with Alex and Jacob and Charles and Ross talk about
and in the room watching twilight is where we all fell asleep

The New World
An AI calling itself Schema has assimilated earth into its system. As a consequence, everyone gained access to status screens, power-ups, and skills. This AI turned these concepts from fiction to fact. It's easy to become intoxicated with leveling up and becoming stronger. To some, it's too good to be true like living out a dream. For Daniel, however, it's closer to a nightmare. He's in a bit of a predicament. Cracks in our dimensional fabric have unleashed terrifying beasts from dark, abyssal places. Schema organizes these cracks into dungeons, giving the native species of the planet a chance to fight back. Daniel finds himself trapped in one of these dungeons. Not long after, he discovers there's only one way out. Kill or be killed. (Note: I am currently editing the story and I'm uploading those edits. It will take time to do this, so if you find a huge shift in the story's formatting, that's why. I'm steadily hammering away at it, but it's going to take time. Thanks for your understanding, if you're offering it.) This is a lit-RPG inspired by the Fallout series of games and the Legend of Randidly Ghosthound. Ogre Tyrant
Tim wakes up to find he is naked and alone in a fantasy world. However, he is not as alone as he first thought. There are other people running around all over the place fighting monsters for a living. Unfortunately for Tim, he seems to be one of those monsters. Desperate for any degree of safety and normalcy he can find, Tim must tread a fine line between freedom and subservience to survive. All while trying to keep alive a trio of adventurers hellbent on becoming legends. However, unfortunately for Tim, he is not the only one from earth to awaken in this world and the other Awakened aren't nearly so benevolent. Warning: The protagonist begins the story quite cowed and meek but progresses into a more assertive and situationally dominant personality. This is partly due to growth, but also a result of the character overcoming initial shock and longstanding depression. If you think I could have handled a segment better, by all means, point it out and provide your reasoning and suggestion. Everyone's experience of depression is different, and Tim's is a close representation of my own, so it won't necessarily 'vibe' with everyone. Chapters are around 15k words and released approx 1/week over the weekend. Has been reduced to around 7.5k to 9k to better fit my schedule.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Tale of a Cruel World
A world where civilization is worthless and the meanderings of the wild bend humanity to its knees. This the tale of a cruel world, seemingly destined never to find peace. Through calamity after catastrophe, through silence and storm, its people have survived. Though, soon the final calamity will come. A clone of the strongest, most feared mage, Calamitas, bioengineered to only feel 'positive' emotions, and an ordinary hunter fighting to protect his dying sister begin their journey with a wish to rid a city of plaguebrought strife. (This is based on the Calamity Mod for Terraria, but should be perfectly readable to any normal viewers. To make its universe into a living, breathing place requires liberties enough to make this almost 'my own' world, so keep in mind that this isn't a very 'conventional' fanfiction(or maybe it is, I don't actually know the conventions).)
