It's 5pm and i just need 1 more hour until i leave and go home to my beautiful bed and relax.
"hey can you give me a discount?" I looked up to see Corey with a huge bag of dog food and toys.
"duh, you're my roommate Corey!"
"want me to wait for you? so we can go home together"
I nodded and he told me he was going to be waiting in his car.
-
"Everyone went out except for me, Devyn, and Colby" Corey said as we headed home
"Is there food at home?" I asked him
"No but we can order if you'd like"
"Alright"
-Colby-
I heard the front door close and i see Corey and
Y/N walking in.
"Hey guys" i said
"Hey Colby" they both said as they gave me a smile
"ok so what do you all want to eat?" Y/N asked as she was looking down her phone
"i want pizza" Corey said
"we always eat that" Devyn replies as she came out of the kitchen
"what about In n Out?" i suggested shrugging
"omg yes, i haven't had that in forever" Devyn said
We told Y/N our orders as she typed on her phone
"it'll be here in 30 min" She said
-You-
Half an hour later and hour food came. Everyone got what they ordered and parted ways to go eat either at the living room or kitchen.
"Wanna go watch the sunset at the roof?" Colby asked me
"Yeah but how are we getting up there?" i asked confused
"It's by our rooms silly"
Once we got by our rooms, he pointed at the ceiling and there it was, an access to the rooftop
He handed me his In n Out bag while he went to look for a ladder

"ok, let's go"
-Colby-
"pass me the food!" I yelled out
"Colby Brock, if you drop my food i will kill you!" I heard Y/N yell back causing me to laugh
"I swear, i won't"
She passed me the food and i set it aside of me so i can help her up
"Alright, don't fall loser"
"Oh shut up" She said as she laughed and rolled her eyes making her way up
"Oh wow, this is so pretty!!!" She exclaimed with a smile on her face
"Come sit right here" I said as she followed me
We sat down and started eating
-You-
"What's one place you'd like to visit?" I asked Colby
"I would like to visit London" He said as i saw him type on his phone
"what about you?" He asked me
"Cali was my place to visit but i live here now" I said
-
"Colby! Look how pretty the sunset is!!" I exclaimed
"Just like you"
I blushed and gave him a shove
"It's true!" He said
I laughed and took a picture of the sunset so i can post it later today.

The characters have depth, the fights are wonderfully descriptive, and I genuinely wanted to read more about the world of Arnacript when the novel was done.” - Ramon Mejia, author of Adventures on Terra, and host of the Geek Bytes Podcast "Fun story that keeps you invested. I recommend it! Welcome to LitRPG Michael-Scott. Glad you joined the fam!" - Aleron Kong, author of the Chaos Seeds series and The Father of American LitRPG “Lion's Quest is the type of book I'm always on the lookout for and rarely ever find. It's the beginning of a series I know I'm going to enjoy, with great writing and hints of deep in-game lore. The characters are fun, the plot is engaging, and I never know what is going to happen next. The action is fast, brutal and realistic. This is one of my favorite LitRPG stories in the entire genre.” - Blaise Corvin, author of Delvers LLC: Welcome to Ludus and Secret of the Old Ones “A great first foray into LitRPG. A novel take on the usual formula and I'm interested to see what happens next!” -Travis Bagwell, author of Awaken Online: Catharsis “Right from the very first page, Lion’s Quest had me hooked! Filled with surprising twists, intrigue and good old-fashioned humor this amazingly deep book had me craving more and more! Without a doubt one of the best LitRPG novels I have read! I can’t wait for book 2!” - Luke Chmilenko, author of Ascend Online “Lion's Quest blends action, intrigue, and humor together for a wild ride. I'm eagerly awaiting book two.” -Stephan Morse, author of the Continue Online and Royal Scales series Read the full story @ MichaelScottEarle.com (Lion's Quest: Undefeated eBook is FREE)

The Core of a Factory
An abandoned steampunk arms factory, in the middle of a conflict torn former state of the Empire it served, gains a soul. This transforms it into a Lord, capable of turning land into power. Beset by enemies on all sides it must figure out how to win the war its creators lost a century ago. This is a progressive Dungeon Core novel (which is to say the core will progress and expand in scale, eventually) across multiple dimensions with different characteristics (e.g. steampunk, magic, mythological). It has rationalist leanings (paragraphs of reasoning) and litrpg leanings (there are stat blocks). The core game mechanical idea is something like "what if different flavors of magic power actually did come from controlling land" and then the story is: "what if there was a flavorless (artifact deck) dungeon core". Chapters will be relatively short (my aim is that in three column format each would fit on a wide screen monitor), the first few chapters - setting up the main character and mechanics - are currently the longest in the entire series. I write chapters in blocks, and then release them one a weekday (M-F; 6 PM GMT, unless RoyalRoad's publish thing screws up) until I run out. There may be a few days of gaps here and there if someone finds an egregious error I have to re-write around or if I am behind. In general though one can read this once a weekend. I may do slight retconns and edits, I'll make sure to put it in an authors note if I do.
