I felt my heart hit the pit of my stomach, A huge knot formed in my throat stopping me from taking a breath. I felt physically sick.
"y/n." I heard someone call my name.
My mind went numb as I hopped off the stool and rushedly made my way out the bar not paying attention to my surroundings at all, bumping into a few people and things. I started running, no specific place in mind I just had to get as far as possible.
I stopped running once I reached the river. I had been running for a long time without even realizing it. I didn't even realize it was raining until I felt my whole body freezing. I sat by the edge of the river processing what had just happened.
I started crying. Just letting everything go, balling my eyes out. How could he have done that to me. I screamed slamming my fists down onto the floor next to me.
"F*ck." I screamed again after realizing I had cut open my knuckles.
"I got her guys she's by the river." I heard someone's voice. I turned to see Otis hanging up the phone and getting out of his car. He ran over to me taking off his coat in the process. Once he reached me he put his coat over me.
"I don't want to talk Otis."
"I know hon, but I made you a promise and I intend to keep it."
"I don't think I'll have fun Otis." tears kept falling down my face.
"Well, then I'll help you forget tonight." he put his arm around me and pulled me up.
I leaned my head on his shoulder as he took me back to his car. I still felt numb, I leaned my head on his car window and let him take me anywhere, I didn't have the energy to care. Or so I thought. Once the car stopped I looked up to see we were parked in front of Molly's.

"Otis get me the hell out of here," I screamed at him.
"We closed y/n. After you left we had to stop over half the bar from beating up Jay and then we closed up so we could come to look for you." Otis calmed me down. "Let's go." He stepped out of the car.
I expected to walk into an empty bar. Otis opened the door for me and I stopped as soon as I took the first step. Everyone from the firehouse was there, a couple of people were wet from the rain.
"Why are you guys still here?" I felt a knot in my throat again.
"You saved us all once and it was our turn to repay you." Hermann started. "As much as you feel like sinking right now, as much as you feel like giving up, we won't let you. We got you y/n." he finished.
I felt myself tear up again, I looked down at my feet trying to contain my emotions. "I don't know what I did to ever deserve you guys, thank you." I let my tears fall freely as I walked over to them. Everyone huddled around me giving me a huge and very much needed hug.
By the end of the night, everyone had offered up their place for me. I decided to stay at Gabby's and Casey's place and Gabby had offered to go get some of my clothes from Jay's and my apartment the next day.

The Court of Souls?
What do we talk about tonight?~“How about a story?”~Fine by me. Which story? Hopefully a good one.~“There was once a lonely child in a world filled with myths, gods and demons. Only power counted there and the weak were worse than cattle. A world where survival of the fittest ruled.”~Was it strong then?~“No, but the child had a power. One that made him stand between light and darkness. Nothing could escape him, so he was shunned by his people.”~ What did he do? Did he fight his fate? Did he hide his power? What was it?~“Oh, he fought. He fought a lot. And no thing could escape his power. It was something that everyone had to live with.”~So he became a hero and changed the world?~»…”~Tell me.~“Nooo, that’s not how the story goes. This isn’t a story of a noble man, doing good amidst a sea of monsters. This is a story of a demon who was… kinder than the rest.”~A kind demon? How boring.~“I think it would be better if I tell the story, so you can judge for yourself.”~So tell the story!
