After that night Jay and I were taking things a little bit slower, although we found ourselves repeating the events from that night very often. I was really falling hard for this guy, I was barely ever in my apartment anymore.

The nights I was at my apartment was when Jay was working late and he would come to join me in the middle of the night. We hadn't told anyone about our relationship since we hadn't exactly defined it ourselves and I was also kinda nervous about what everyone would think. Gabby and Shay knew Jay and I were something but I never told them we'd made it official.

It wasn't that I was embarrassed by our relationship but I didn't want people thinking that I was taking advantage of Jay being vulnerable after his relationship with Erin.

A few months later

I was out grocery shopping one afternoon when I heard my phone ring. 'Jay 😍' read the name on my phone screen.

"Hey babe what's up?" I answered.

"Hey, can you come over? My shift ended early."

"Sure, just give me some time I'm at the grocery store."

"Ok, see you then babe." He hung up.

I walked around the grocery store grabbing a few last bits and pieces when I suddenly had a bad feeling. I turned my head slightly just enough so I could make out a man staring at me from the end of the aisle.

I continued walking down different aisles trying to lose him but he kept following me everywhere. I tried to shake off the feeling blaming it on the fact that I was still paranoid but I was definitely scared.

I made my way to the cash register and paid for my things while keeping an eye out for the guy. I didn't want to turn around to alert the guy I was terrified so I tried to act as calm as possible. I grabbed my bags and made my way to my car, the guy still close behind me.

I started speeding up until I made it to my car. I threw the bags to the back before jumping in, I felt my breathing accelerating as I rummaged through my bag looking for my phone. I realized my hands were shaking as I unlocked my phone to call Jay.

It went to voicemail, I tried again, and just as it was ringing I heard someone knocking. I turned to see the man knocking on my car window wearing a creepy smile. I screamed.

"Hello?" I heard Jay's voice on my phone.

"Jay there's this guy following me and he's knocking on my car window right now." my voice was trembling.

"What? Baby where are you?"

The guy kept knocking, I decided to roll my car window down very slightly. "M'am you dropped this." He shoved my house keys in through the gap.

My breath was still shakey as I raised my hand to grab my keys. "y/n! y/n!" I heard Jay screaming through my phone.

"Than...Thank...Thank you." I barely managed to whisper to the guy. He gave me the same creepy smile staring me up and down.

"Of course, darling," he said before walking away.

"y/n!" I heard Jay again. I brought the phone up to my ear.

"Jay..."

"y/n! Are you ok? Where are you?" Jay asked me.

"I'm at the parking lot still at the grocery store, I'm ok..." I tried to calm down although I knew I still sounded scared.

"y/n stay there I'm coming, lock the doors and stay on the phone with me,"

I stayed on the phone with Jay the whole time, I was still pretty shaken up so I wasn't saying much, only answering Jay every time he asked me if I was ok. I jumped once more when I heard someone knock on my car window again, it was Natalie and Will.

"Natalie! Will!" I sighed in relief.

"y/n, are you ok?" She asked me noticing I was terrified. I opened my car door.

"Natalie and Will are here Jay," I told him.

"Ok I'm almost there," he said before hanging up.

"y/n what's wrong?" Natalie asked me.

"Nat, did Jay ask you to come?"

"No, I recognized your car so we thought we'd come to say hi, what's going on?" She asked me.

"Someone was following me, or I think they were and I...I got scared so I called Jay and then the guy he knocked on my door and gave me my keys." I started rambling.

"Woah Woah, breathe honey." Natalie grabbed my hands and Will placed a hand on my shoulder.

I then heard someone running up to us. We turned to see Jay.

"Hey, hey are you alright baby?" Jay hugged me.

I said nothing and just nodded. He pulled away and kissed my forehead before pulling me into a hug again.

"I knew it!" Natalie shouted behind me. We both turned to face her. "I'm sorry, I just told Will you guys were dating but he wouldn't believe me." Natalie laughed while Will looked confused.

Jay and I turned to stare at each other before laughing as well.

"I guess the cat's out of the bag then." I felt a lot calmer now.

We said our goodbyes to Nat and Will before getting back in my car. Jay drove.
