Imarina's POV

I wake up on my own and stretch happily. I got ready for the day and go downstairs to see Rose in a bathrobe talking to Elena. "Am I interrupting?" I ask them.

"No actually, I came to talk to you both" Elena states.

"Then I should probably get dressed" Rose states. Rose smiles broadly and walks back up the stairs. After Rose has exchanged her robe for real clothing. We converse in the parlor room. "It's a bad idea" she states.

"Jaguar agrees with Elena, but I agree with you Rose" I tell them.

"No, it's not. From what Stefan told me, your friend Slater obviously has more information about Klaus. You and Damon just gave up before you got it" Elena tells us.

"Because somebody blew up a coffee shop with us in it" Rose retorts and Jaguar growls inside my head.

"There's more to learn. We just have to find a way to learn it" Elena states.

"Why come to us with this?" I ask Elena.

"Because Rose owes me. One word from me, and Damon and Stefan could have killed you for kidnapping Imarina and I" Elena tells her.

"Or maybe it's because you know that they wouldn't want you doing this. And their moonstone caper gives you a chance to sneak away" Rose retorts.

"We're having a disagreement, okay? They're willing to risk everyone that I love and I'm not" Elena tells us.

"They're just trying to protect you" Rose tells her.

"And you've proven that you couldn't care less whether I'm protected or not. So, we're back to you both taking me to Slater" Elena states. "Imarina, because Jaguar won't let anything happen to me as the vampires she protects care for me" she adds.

'Got you there' Jaguar tells me and I roll my eyes.

"What exactly do you hope to achieve by this?" I ask her.

"How would you like to be able to walk during the daylight?" she asks Rose.

"I've been a slave to shadows for 500 years, what do you think?" Rose asks her.

"I think I know a witch who's willing to do whatever it takes to help, if you're willing to make a deal" Elena states. So they make a deal and we get into Rose's car. She drives us to Slater's apartment.

(Apartment)

Rose parks her car in an underground parking lot below Slater's apartment. We ascend the staircase to the apartment. Rose bangs her fist on the door while Elena and I stand nearby. "Slater, it's Rose. Open up!" she yells. But no one answers and the door doesn't open.

Jaguar kicks the door in and the others look at me. "What? It was Jaguar" I tell them as I rub my leg. We enter the apartment, Rose leading the way.

As Rose moves towards the back of the apartment, she looks through a doorway and her face falls in shock. As I smell blood. "I don't think he's gonna be much help" Rose tells us. Elena rushes over to where Rose is standing and gasps at the sight of Slater's dead body. It looks like he drove a stake through his own heart.

'I smell Elijah, be on your guard' Jaguar tells me. I look around the room putting my senses on high alert. I smell a human. I grab Rose's attention and nod towards a door.

"Rose!" a young woman shouts. She runs forwards and hugs Rose tightly. "He's dead!" she wails crying heavily. I go open the curtains and stand by it.

Rose rubs Alice's hand comfortingly as Alice tries to regain her composure. Rose gets up and walks into another room where Elena is pouring hot water into teacups. Rose sits down next to Elena. I look at Alice briefly, before looking back out the window.

Grabbing the cup of tea, Elena walks out of the room towards Alice and hands her the cup. Then me one and we thank her. Elena sits down next to Alice. "You look really familiar. Did you know Slater?" Alice asks her.

"Not personally, no. I just knew that he kept detailed records of all of his vampire contacts and I was hoping that he could point me towards Klaus" Elena tells her. I look at them, what is Elena planning on doing?

"Doubtful. Klaus doesn't want to be pointed at" Alice tells her.

"Do you know Slater's computer password?" Elena asks her.

"Are you seriously asking me that right now? I just saw my boyfriend with a stake through his heart" Alice reminds her.

"What if we could convince Rose to turn you?" I ask her.

"Will you show us his files then?" Elena asks. As Rose gives us disdainful looks. We ignore her as Alice sits down in front of the computer.

Alice has managed to log on to Slater's computer, but all the files have been deleted. "Someone's been here. The hard drive's completely wiped out" she tells us. " Lucky for you, Slater was paranoid. Everything's backed up on a remote server" she states.

"You know that she's not going anywhere near my blood, right?" Rose tells Elena and I softly.

"We know" I assure her.

"She doesn't" Elena adds. Elena walks past Rose, who smiles at our deception. Elena leans down next to Alice to look at the computer screen. "These are all leads to vampires?" she asks. I look over Alice's other shoulder curious.

"Slater was obsessed. Almost as much as me" Alice tells us.

"What about that one? Cody Webber. They exchanged dozens of emails about Elijah" I state.

"I could call him" Alice states. Elena hands her a phone.

"Tell him that we're trying to send a message to Klaus. The doppelgänger is alive and she's ready to surrender" Elena instructs. I freeze, so that was her plan?

'What do I do?' I ask Jaguar as Rose calls Damon.

'We follow Klaus orders above all other vampires, he wants Elena unharmed. We can stop others from taking her, but not him personally. It depends on who comes to collect her' she tells me.

'She is our friend, are we suppose to do nothing as she is sacrificed?' I ask her.

'We cannot beat an original in a fight, you know this' she tells me. I sigh in defeat and look out the window.

"Cody is on his way and he really wants to meet you" Alice tells Elena. Rose shuts her eyes and sighs. Please hurry Damon, come talk sense into Elena. She'll listen to you more then me.

Elena walks into the main room, sipping on a glass of water. She looks over at Alice, then turns around and gasps because Damon has snuck up from behind her. "What took you so long?" I ask him.

"What are you doing here?" they ask each other. Damon sounding annoyed and Elena shocked. Rose enters the room. Elena turns around and looks at her angrily.

"You called him" she accuses Rose. "You said that you understood" she states.

"She lied" Damon tells her. Elena turns around and looks at Damon. Alice walks up to them and is starstruck seeing Damon. She says his name in awe and Rose takes her out of the room. "Come on. We're leaving" he tells us.

"I'm not going with you" Elena tells him.

"You do not get to make decisions anymore" Damon tells her.

"When has she ever made a decision?" I ask him confused.

"Exactly, you and Stefan do that for me. Now this, this is my decision" Elena tells him.

"Who's gonna save your life while you're out making decisions?" Damon demands.

"You're not listening to me, Damon. I don't want to be saved. Not if it means that Klaus is gonna kill every single person that I love" Elena stresses.

"Get your ass out the door before I throw you over my shoulder and carry you out myself" Damon threatens. Damon grasps her arm tightly. Elena struggles and releases herself from his grip.

"No!" she shouts. Elena throws a punch at Damon. Damon clutches her fist in his hand and moves in towards her. Elena gasps in shock.

"Don't ever do that again" he tells her. He releases her and walks to where Rose took Alice. "You watch her and make sure she doesn't do anything stupid" he tells me before leaving.

"Sorry Elena, I have to follow orders" I tell her sheepishly. Elena sits on the lounge as Rose joins us. We all sit on the couch waiting for Damon.

Damon opens a set of double doors and exits the bedroom. "Time to go. Alice is soundly sleeping and won't remember a moment of this horribly stupid day" he tells us.

"Great, lets go home" I tell them. Suddenly, the front doors burst open and three men walk into the apartment. Damon turns his head to look at them as us girls stand up. Me standing in front of Elena protectively Jaguar growling inside my head.

"We're here to meet the doppelgänger" one states. He must be Cody and he brought two vampire friends.

'Not our bloodline, we can kill them' Jaguar tells me.

'I would rather leave that to Damon' I tell her.

"Thank you for coming" Elena says trying to pass me. But I push her back.

"I will have Jaguar break your arm" Damon tells her. He looks back at Cody. "There's nothing here for you" he tells him firmly.

The man in the back suddenly drops to the floor, dead. Elijah stands behind him. The other two vampires look back at Elijah. Elijah vamp-speeds towards them, looking from one to the other. Rose gasps and vamp-speeds out of the apartment. Elijah looks over at us. "Who are you?" Cody asks him.

"I'm Elijah" he answers.

"We were gonna bring her to you. For Klaus. She's the doppelgänger. I don't know how she exists, but she does. Klaus will want to see her." Cody tells him.

"Does anyone else know you're here?" Elijah asks him.

"No" Cody answers.

"Well, then, you have been incredibly helpful" Elijah tells him. Elijah plunges his arm's into the two vampires' chests. They grunt as Elijah rips their hearts out. The two vampires fall to the floor, dead, and Elijah lets their hearts drop from his hands. Damon and I prepare to fight with Elijah. But he shocks us, by turning around and vamp-speeding out of the apartment.

Damon drives Elena and I back to Mystic Falls. He drops me off and I walk back to the boarding house as he takes Elena home. I need a bath and food. I haven't eaten all day. So I wash my hands and have a big dinner. Before having a nice bath and call it a night.
