Sitting next to Ethan, the cameras flashed throughout the whole ride. Ethan was used to this but I wasn't so I held his hand for each flash that there was. He smiled and waved with one hand and rubbed his thumb over my hand in a calming motion which made me smile brightly. "It'll be alright, all you have to do is stand on the side and look like the Goddess that you are." Ethan told me and I nodded and sighed. "It's going to be interesting to see former King Adam and Queen Belle after what happened on Family Day, but I don't regret what I said that day. I've been raised to be honest even if it hurts, and I'm not changing who I am for someone who can't handle the truth." I stated and Ethan hummed and I looked at him and he had this look in his eyes that I liked, like I was the only one in his vicinity and there wasn't any press or media around us.
The rest of the ride was quiet between us, the loudness from the crowds took over the need to talk. Once our carriage stops, Ethan gets off and helps me down like the gentleman and Prince he is. Ben and Mal were ahead of us and I was quiet, Mom warned me about pushing my magic too far with my emotions, hence I turned red when I was very angered. Dad did it and was able to control his energy output and able to calm himself down, I didn't have that level of control yet, not until later. When we went to greet Queen Belle and King Adam, I gave the male a hardened look in my eyes but a smile on my face. "I don't regret what I said the other day, as a child I was taught to say the honest truth, and sometimes the truth hurts more than a lie." I told him and after giving Ethan a squeeze on his hands, I walked with the usher and the boys stood in their rightful places while I stood next to Mal. "Are you going to go through with the plan Mal?" I whispered to her ear and before she could answer, the ceremony began.

The King and Queen were standing up as the two boys walked down the aisle and neared the throne. I curtsied when they came towards us and Ben had a smirk while Ethan wore a smile which in turn made me smile. Fairy Godmother then took King Adam's crown from his head and placed it on Ben's head. She carefully held her wand, and I looked over at Mal and I saw the conflict on her face and I had a smug look. "Do swear to govern the peple of Auradon, with justice and mercy, as long as you shall reign?" Fairy Godmother asked Ben who looked at he with determined eyes that weren't afraid of the future of the free world. "I do, solemly swear." Ben declared and I smiled at that motion. "And do you swear to aid our King, with wisdom and patience, as long as the King shall reign?" Fairy Godmother asked Ethan and I thought he wouldn't be able to accept the duty but he had this bright look in his eyes. "I do, solemly swear." Ethan told her and she had this proud smile on her face. "Then it is my honor, and my duty, to pronounce you-" Fairy Godmother said but was stopped when the wand was snatched from her hands.

The Last Marshal
Weird West Fantasy Noir Once the Republic Marshals brought order to the chaotic lands along the Frontier, facing dangers both human and supernatural with ancient wisdom and a six-gun —but that was a long time ago. Destroyed by conspiracy and betrayal, all that remains of that secretive order is one nameless man on a trek though the West seeking revenge on the woman he blames for the Marshals' fall and his disgrace. When a visitor from our world joins him on his journey, they together must confront the horrors of a strange land, the mysteries of the past and the real meaning of their quest for justice. The world of Tellus is what 19th Century Earth would have looked like if the stories of Poe, Ambrose Bierce, Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgeson were real. History in this world moves slower. The old faiths persist and civilization never conquered the dark corners of the map, at least not without being inextricably changed. Technology and culture takes a little longer to evolve in this land, as people here tend to spend more time pursuing their elaborate revenge plots or trying to avoid being the next sacrifice to the Outer Gods rather than advancing science or statecraft. Imagine Cormac McCarthy by way of Edgar Rice Burroughs, though a little less testosterone-drenched than that description would imply. Three caveats: First, there are deep mysteries here, including how such a world came to be and who controls it. Second, this world is not wholly unconnected from our own. There is a historical point of divergence, but in the distant past. To paraphrase Twain: history in this world is not a repeat of our own, but it does often rhyme. And finally, this is not a setting that lends itself to happy endings.

Magikind
Disclaimer: This is a low-fantasy, soft-sci-fi genre. In fact, it's a variety of genres, so don't be too put off by the tags Through several centuries of selective breeding, these beings, known as mages, have become part of the very foundations of society. However, some humans refused to change or adapt along with them. They believed in purity and refused to interbreed with magikind. Known as the manush, they were a rarity among society. Now, in the fifth millennia, the manush are thought to be extinct. With magikind ruling the world, a three-way war grips society between Eurasia, Afro-Australian Alliance and The Americas. In these uncertain times, a manush called Gin enters the Eurasian army. From there, our journey unfolds. A story of how mankind could realistically evolve while still pushing boundaries. PS.
