If not for those eyes that shined upon me,

My life would still be eternally dark.

If not for that smile of sweet gayety,

I would never have a reason to perk.

If not for those hands given to my own,

To lift me up from my spree of defeat.

If not for those words of inspiring tone,

That taught me hope and stopped me from retreat.

In spite of this, still I somehow do wrong;
