《Words I Left Unsaid》Childhood

Childhood is meant to be the best stage of our lives,

Yet mine is a stage I command to drown.

A child should be jovial,

Sprinting through meadows of the whitest orchids,

Not hiding in their room with their ears firmly compressed.

A child should be energetic and free,

Imaginations so wild and colourful,

Not burnt out like a candle in the harshest of winds.

A child should be innocent,

So oblivious to the dangers of the world,

Not forever living in fear of the ones that should protect them.
