《Messy Love》Ivy (Doomsday)

'It feels like I could sink forever
And I am anchored in your heart
So down to hell we go together
I was your doomsday from the start'
I spent a lot of time going through what scenarios would happen when I met with The Lost Souls. Of how I could keep Bella protected, of what Finn would want from me.
I never thought about being back at a place that had caused me pain and uncertainty. It is fucking soul crushing.
The sounds of revving, the smells of dirt and fuel invading my senses. I had been smoking nearly constantly since the attack, and today would be no different. I could feel a freak out coming on, not something I could do here. Showing weakness around these sorts of people could mean the difference between respect and punishment.
Bella clings tight onto me as I park my bike. Sand drags is something I haven't seen since I was taken away, it is also something I haven't missed. Racing in a straight line against one other person through thick sand. It brings back all the memories from my childhood that I was trying to forget.
"So many people," Bella says nervously as I remove her helmet.
"They aren't all a part of The Lost Souls, some people just love to ride."
"How are you feeling?" She grabs my hand.
"Like we should have run away," I say dismally.
"I'm with you every step," she says to reassure me but it only adds to my fear. I don't want her here.
We begin walking through the crowd, there are tents set up for different racing groups. The Lost Souls run the show, their love of bikes connecting with other people, plus it was a great way to sell drugs and party. I can remember the nights shifting to morning with little to no sleep, with bands that play all night, and people riding all day. Dad would force me to race as a kid and I absolutely hated it. The pressure if I would lose had me vomiting before I would hop onto my bike.

I can see The Lost Souls tent at the end, their leather jackets and the crowd of young girls swarming them gives it away easily. I never understood girls that wanted to fuck bikies, but there is never a shortage of them. Bella squeezes my hand tightly, a layer of sweat forming between the both of us.
"Try not to look scared," I say as I keep my eyes on the menacing men.
They all look me up and down as we move through the leather jackets. At the back is a table, with a guy sitting relaxed. His legs are crossed over on top of the table with a girl either side of him, fighting for his attention; a cigarette hangs loosely from his lips as he smiles.
As his head turns to us, he takes his feet down and stands up to greet us. This definitely isn't Finn; this guy looks around my age. As my eyes take in his dark hair and eyes and finally the deep scar on his chin that I know dips underneath like a hook.
"Ace?" I ask surprised.
"Tyson!" He smiles brightly, coming around the table to shake my hand. His eyes fall to Bella, "I'm Ace," he says reaching for her hand.
She offers hers slowly. "Bella," she attempts a smile.
He moves back around the table to sit down before gesturing for us to sit also. "Have you taken over for your dad?" I ask wondering why Finn has sent his son when he was the one that asked for me.
"Not yet, I see Boom and Len beat into you," he says as he points to my bruised eye and scabbed lip.
I shrug, not really knowing what to say back to that.

Ace just smiles, but it's cold and I get the feeling his innocence had gone long ago. He was my best friend for a long time, we would race one another, our dad's hitting the loser. I still remember the day he got that scar; he came off and the break handle went into his chin, he needed surgery and I remember the sinking feeling as I watched his body flying through the sand and the bike skidding with him.
"They say you fought immediately."
"They broke my door down in the middle of the night," I reply.
"And your first instinct was to start throwing punches, you hated fighting when we were kids."
He was right, I did, it wasn't until Tate and Jace that I learnt to defend myself. "I grew up," I say, not really understanding why he wants me here.
"Dad wants you to be a part of the club," he says seriously.
I swallow my dry throat and reach for my smokes. "Why?" I ask calmly. Ace squints with amusement, I knew I needed to word my replies the right way.
"It's your birth right."
I suck in a deep drag. "Not anymore, my parents are gone," I remind him.
A drunk member grabs Bella. "Hello sweetheart," he slurs.
I stand quickly and shove him away with force. "Don't fucking touch her," I say with hatred. Bella clings to me.
"What did you fucking say cunt?" More of them begin to circle us.
"Boys fuck off and go wet your dicks somewhere else," Ace tells them.
The guy gives me one last death stare before backing away.
We don't sit again even though Ace remains in his. "This isn't my world Ace, I'm sorry." I begin to leave.
"Did I say you could go?"
I stop and clench my jaw to suppress the anger.
"Your dad owes this club a massive debt."
"Yes, well he is never getting out of jail," I say, trying to hold onto any form of calm.
"You were a kid the last time I saw you so I know you don't know our rules, but the fathers fuck ups are a son's debt to pay, with loyalty or blood."
I clench my fist, feeling everything inside me wanting to smash his face against the table. I nod my head and turn to leave. "You have a week to decide," Ace calls out as I pull Bella quickly with me.

There's also the issue of timelines that don't add up and wrong names. I'm currently editing it in a new document. I hope it will be better.FP: 2017C:2019
