《The Best Chef in Konoha (Choji Love Story)》Chapter 17

It's been 6 years since Mabel passed away and I'm waiting outside of the academy to get my little girl from school. Today's her birthday as well as her mother's death anniversary. Sauske came back and became dishearten when he heard about Mabel's death. He was also shock when I told him he was the Godfather of Keiko which made him love Keiko to death since she's the last thing from Mabel. "Daddy!" I hear a soft yell as I see Mabel running towards me.

I smiled as I spread my arms wide for her to jump in. I felt a small impact as I swirl her around hearing the sounds of her giggles. "My little angel." I said as I put her down.

"Are we gonna visit mommy?" She asked.

I can see so much of her mother in her especially with her one purple eye. "Yea, are you excited?" I asked her.

"Yea! I'm going to be the best chef in Konoha just like momma. I'll open my restaurant and help ninjas just like how mommy did!" She said as we walked towards the graveyard.

"I'm glad to hear that." I said as I thought about how I first met her mother so long ago.

"Is Uncle Sasuke and Sakura gonna come by with little Sarada?" Keiko asked.

"They wouldn't miss your party for the world." I said as I ruffle her hair.

"Yay!" She shouted as I giggle at her childish antics.

As we got to the graveyard Keiko quickly ran towards her mother's grave knowing where she was. As I caught up I could already her Keiko talking to her mother about her day and what she wanted to be when she grew up. I could feel myself get depressed since I miss her so much. The way her laugh and smiles would light up my day or when she worries about what I've eaten. If I was safe or how she would always want to cuddle next to me while watching the TV. The way her eyes would light up whenever I would see her or how she would always wanted to cook something for everyone. God I miss her cooking too. Konoha can never really fit that craving I've been having since Mabel passed away. "By the way look mommy! I made rice balls! Do you want one? I'll put some here. I also made some for daddy and me. I promise I'll be the best chef in Konoha and open my own restaurant and then I'll be just like you mommy. I love you mommy." She said smiling brightly.

"Do you want one daddy?" She asked.

"It would be an honor to have one." I said as I gently grab slightly deformed rice ball.

She sat back right down with her mother as I look at the rice ball wondering when she made it. I shrugged it off as I took a bite out of the rice ball. Everything froze as I felt the craving gone instantly. It tasted exactly like the rice balls Mabel use to make. I suddenly see tears on the cement floor. "Daddy? Why are you crying?" I hear Keiko say.

I drop the rice ball going on my knees and hugging Keiko as a sob came out from my throat. I wailed and held my daughter close to me feeling genuinely happy. Mabel may be gone but I know she's always looking after us especially Keiko. I felt Keiko wrap her tiny arms around me as she said, "It's ok daddy. Mommy's always watching us so we should smile for her."

I pulled away as I look into the beautiful eyes of my daughter. "You're right Keiko. Mommy will always be watching us because she's always here with us."
