I was stood at my locker Jade and Isaac walked over to me.

"Where's the rest of your outfit?" Jade asked.

"This is it." I said.

"Then put this on." Isaac threw a flannel at me.

"You two need to chill or do you not trust your friends around me?" I asked throwing him his flannel back and getting my own from my locker.

"This isn't about our friends well Rex is a freak but there are other boys here that are looking at you like you're their last meal," Isaac said.

" idiots," I said.

"Yeah which is what worries me. There are only so many schools in Hollywood that you can get expelled from." Jade said.

"I promised you I wouldn't get in anymore fights." I said.

"You go from 0 to 120 faster than us two combined." Isaac said.

"I'm gonna be fine. You worry too much big brother." I said closing my locker.

"You've gotta decorate your locker." Jade said.

"I know I'm working on it." I said. The bell rang.

"What class do you have?" Isaac asked.

"Advanced songwriting with Andre and the dog," I said.

"Be nice." Isaac said.

"You wanna tell Jade the same? She poured coffee over the girl." I said.

"No. I don't want coffee in my hair. Look at it. Do you know how much effort goes into this hair?" Isaac said.

"I'm going to class now bye." I said. I walked to class and sat next to Andre.

"Morning M." Andre said.

"We're on nicknames now are we Dre?" I asked with a smirk.

"Only if you wanna be." Andre said nervously.

"I'm messing with you. We're good Dre." I said. Dre smiled.

"So are you gonna audition for any of the plays?" Dre asked.

"I don't know maybe. Music is more of my focus." I said.

"I think you should audition for some of the plays. There's singing in all of them and dancing." Dre said.

I was now sat beside Beck in Sikowitz's class watching Jade and Cat perform. Dre kept looking at me and smiling.

"Betsy, Betsy, that animal's delicious flesh can keep us all alive for another week." Jade said.

"I don't wanna be alive without poncy. This pig is everything to me that my daddy never was, and I'll be ding danged." Cat got hit in the face with a ball.

"Sikowitz?" Jade and Isaac said.

"What?" Sikowitz asked as Cat stood up.

"You hit me in the face with a ball." Cat said holding her cheek.

"Oh, come on, a truly great actor can stay in the scene no matter what's happening around her." Sikowitz said.

"But it really hurts." Cat said. The bell rang for lunch. "Oh, lunch, yay." Cat's tone changed.

"Learn your lines. I want everyone off book tomorrow." Sikowitz said as students were leaving.

"M, you coming to lunch with us?" Dre asked.

"Uh yeah." I said as a ball flew past my head hitting the wall next to Tori.

"What was that for? I'm not acting right now." Tori said.

"We need to chat, you too, Morgan," Sikowitz said.

"And "Tori, can I see you?" Wouldn't have worked?" Tori asked.

"Have fun." Andre said.

"Protect your face." Beck said.

"Don't kill anyone." Isaac said to me.

"What's up?" I asked.

"I hear you signed up to audition for a play, "moonlight magic?" Sikowitz said to Tori before turning to me. "And you're interested in signing up for a few plays."

"Andre wrote the music for it and he wants me to play the lead." Tori said.

"You should. But you can't? Not until you pass "The bird scene." Sikowitz said.

"The bird scene?" Tori asked.

"Here at Hollywood arts, every student must successfully complete "The bird scene" before they can audition for any and all school productions," I said. Sikowitz nodded.

"Hey sikowitz, I forgot to ask you a question About the homework. Will we have...?" Cat asked as Sikowitz aimed the ball at her head and she ran away.

"We'll never know her question." Sikowitz said. He handed us the scripts and I walked away to get lunch. Jade called me over to her table where she sat with Cat.

"I got your lunch and coffee." Jade said.

"Thanks." I said handing her 5 bucks.

"You seem smiley. I'm worried did you beat up Sikowitz?" Jade asked.

"No. I'm not smiley." I said.

"Hey M, did you sign up for any of the plays yet?" Dre asked walking over to the table.

"I haven't even looked at the names yet but I will eventually sign up." I said.

"Here." Dre handed me a sheet with all the plays on.

"Thanks Dre." I said.

"See ya later M." Dre walked away.

"Dre?" Cat asked.

"Do you have a crush on Andre?" Jade asked.

"No, he's my friend." I said.

"You're a liar." Cat said.

"Even if I did I don't know who would kill him first you, Beck or Isaac." I said.

"Isaac definitely. Then he'd lecture you about how you're too young to date." Jade said.

"So what did Sikowitz want?" Cat asked.

"The Bird scene. I've gotta perform it." I said. "Which should be fine because Isaac kept rehearsing it on me, last year and it's still stuck in my head." I said.

"It's easy enough to learn. The performance is more important." Jade said.

I was sat in my chair ready to take on the bird scene Tori had already failed.

"Morgan the stage is yours but you can't take it home." Sikowitz said.

"That's a bummer but I don't think it would fit in my backpack either." I said.

"Action." Sikowitz said.

"It was 1934 When my husband left me. Alone, living on the prairie Was a dreary existence. No telephone, no radio. Only a large, majestic bird With whom I shared my feelings. One day when I was feeling low, I said to him, "Oh bird, you can fly. "You can soar miles "From this lonely place, "Yet you stay. Why?" And apparently, My question rang true, For that afternoon, The bird left. And so went my spirit." I said and sat back down next to Isaac and Jade.

"Morgan you didn't even wait for my feedback," Sikowitz said.

"I did a good job if you disagree I won't be losing any sleep tonight. I trust my own opinions. I've been Morgan West thank you for coming to my Ted Talk goodbye." I said.

"Well done you passed." Sikowitz said. "Tori get back in here." Class ended and we were walking out of class and Tori was complaining.

"Come on. How am I supposed to do the scene right If no one will tell me what I did wrong? I thought you guys were my friends." Tori complained.

"I'm not your friend." Jade said dragging Beck to the vending machine. Isaac went with them.

"Me neither." Isaac and I said.

"I was hoping we could be more than friends." Rex said.

"Uh, it's so gross how he's always hitting on every girl." Cat said.

"I never hit on you." Rex said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Cat asked.

"You guys...my problem." Tori complained.

"Number one rule of the bird scene: Nobody's allowed to help you." Beck said.

"No one." Isaac said.

"So this is what you did with your locker?" Jade said as she, Beck and Isaac walked back over. Isaac handed me a drink.

"Yeah. See, it's a dry erase board With a bunch of colorful pens In a convenient cup. So whoever wants to, can write or draw whatever they want." Tori said.

"But you're supposed to decorate it yourself." Beck said.

"It's a Hollywood Arts tradition." Cat said.

"Well, what's wrong With letting other people Be expressive on my locker?" Tori asked not realising that Jade was expressing herself on Tori's locker.

"Well, for one thing, they can do that." Robbie said. Tori turned to see that her whiteboard now read Tori's stupid locker.

"Morg what did you do your locker?" Beck asked.

"I'll show you." I said. Beck, Jade, Isaac and I walked away from Tori, Robbie and Cat.

I attached a guitar to my locker and it worked similar to Andre's where I had to play a certain chord to unlock it.

"Is that Grandpa's guitar?" Isaac asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"And his favourite flowers were roses." Jade said.

"It's great a love it." Beck said.

"Me too." Isaac said putting his arm around my shoulder.

"Hey, Robbie and Andre signed up for ballet cause they think the class is gonna be filled with girls," Beck said.

"Idiots." Isaac said. The bell rang. "Time to dance." Isaac said. Beck and Jade walked away to salsa dancing. Isaac and I were in a dance class together.

"Alright class duets today. Partner up, rehearse and show at the end of class.

I was sat beside Andre and Isaac while they talked I was drawing. Jade and Beck were behind them. The bell rang and Sikowitz walked in.

"All right, we're here... We have much to do today, But first, Tori, the bird scene." Sikowitz said.

"I'm ready. And before I begin, I'd like you to have These two large coconuts." Tori said.

"Wonderful. You know, their milk Gives me visions." Sikowitz said.

"I've heard." Tori said.

"Very good. Everyone, pay attention. Tori?" Sikowitz said Tori turned around and pulled a backdrop down.

"Oh, a backdrop!" Sikowitz said.

"And I am ready."Tori said.

"Delightful. Action." Sikowitz said.

"It was 1934 When my husband left me. Alone, living on the prairie Was a dreary existence. No telephone, no radio, Only a large, majestic bird With whom I shared my feelings. One day when I was feeling low, I said to him, "Oh bird, you can fly. "You can soar miles "From this lonely place, "Yet you stay. Why?" And apparently, My question rang true, For that afternoon, The bird left. And so went my spirit." Tori said. She used props through out her scene.

"So, was that good?" Tori asked.

"Exactly what are you Asking me?" Sikowitz asked.

"You know, did you like What I did with the scene?" Tori asked.

"Sure." Sikowitz said.

"So did I get it right?" Tori asked.

"Oh no, you failed, again." Sikowitz said.

"What? Why? I did everything... " Tori got cut off by the angry janitor.

"Hey, watch! Where you throw your props." The janitor said throwing the stuffed bird at Tori.

I was in dance rehearsals again trying to perfect a new routine with Sophie and Brooke.

It was time for Tori to do the Bird scene for the third time. Hopefully this was the last time.

"Happy birthday." Sikowitz said.

"Who's birthday is it?" Cat asked.

"Somebody's, somewhere." Sikowitz said.

"That's so true." Cat said.

"Where is Tori?" Sikowitz asked.

"Here." Tori said.

"Oh... you brought curtains." Sikowitz jumped.

"Let's do this."

"Very good. Ladies and gentlemen, Once again: "The bird scene" starring Tori." Sikowitz trailed off unsure of her last name.

"Vega." Tori said.

"Vega." Sikowitz said.

"It was 1934 When my husband left me. Alone, living on the prairie was a dreary existence." Tori began.

"I'm gonna sleep wake me up if she passes." I said putting my head on Jade's shoulder. Tori passed and they all went to see her locker but I went to get coffee instead.
