I walk among the crowd; but I am not part of them. I walk like them, I speak the words they speak, but never did they see the things I see. For sometimes they are shallow and they choose to be blind to the beauty of this world. They walk aimlessly without using their eyes to see what life is really about.
That's why I am the blessed one. For I see the things that ordinary people could not see... Through the lens of my camera that gives me a clearer view of this world. I may not talk a lot, but through the shots that I take, I can speak thousands of words in a single frame--- ordinary people cannot do that.
I sat quietly. The park sure is always filled with many people. I looked around and observed the place, adjusting the aperture as I decide which scene today will I look at differently. Photography has given me the power of freedom to express my ideas without limiting myself. It is my therapy, it practically serves as a sense of sight for me.
I lifted the camera and placed it in front of my face--- and suddenly I started to see different colors, I started to see the beautiful smiling people, the sunlight that illuminates the park, the rawness of the beauty of this world--- I shifted the camera around, looking for something that would add meaning to bigger picture of life itself---
And there she was.
She has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. That was the focal point, the eyes--- and everything just followed. The crowd, the place, everything was captured in a motion blur, and the subject in the photograph is now clear--- it is that beautiful woman whose eyes emit brighter lights more than any strobe lights can.

The camera captured that beauty of hers. I was not sure how many photos did I manage to take, I did not even bother to adjust the technicals to make sure the shots were good--- I just kept on taking pictures of her, afraid that I'll lose sight of her.
Then she stood up.
I lost my focus. I stopped from taking pictures of the goddess that was sitting on the bench across me. I let go of my camera, now using my naked eyes to stare at her, but nothing really changed. She's still beautiful.
I watched her as she takes her things with her. I watched her when she grasps to a white cane, leading her on her own way. I watched her as she frown because it seems like she is having a hard time.
She has the most beautiful eyes, but she cannot see.
I can see, but I do not have the most beautiful eyes.
I stood up, taking my camera with me. I walked towards her, taking slow but sure steps. I don't know but something inside me was eager. I felt that this girl, with the beautiful eyes, needs to see--- in her own way--- how beautiful the world is...
Also, I knew she certainly needs to see how beautiful she is.

I am Calm Wanderer and I present to you my first novel in the universe I created, the Wanderer's Realms. This story is mostly about the story of Bai Yue and Guang Yang. It will follow how their relationship evolve and how Guang Yang matures from an innocent child to a powerful cultivator. I will do my best to avoid 1 dimensional characters and also to avoid plot holes. The first few chapters will present more and more information on the important characters and set up the universe I decided to write in: The Wanderer's Realms. If you have any questions or advice, feel free to comment. I'll do my best to answer you as quickly as possible. Release rate: For now I'm planning to release 1 chapter on Friday. The average length of the chapters are 3000 words each. Quite lengthy compare to a lot of other novels.

Sara's (not really) Fabulous System Armageddon, Book I: The World Ended at Rush Hour
Planet Earth, Monday, October 7th, 2019. 18:30 * * On a fateful day, during rush hour in eastern North America, Heavens and Hell crumbled and fell from their higher dimension on Earth. It came from "above" but not the same above we regard in our tridimensional Euclidean reasoning. No, it came from "above" as in from a higher dimension. Bits and pieces of those places fell on Earth from all directions, this time in tridimensional Euclidean space. Satellites, the ISS, and space debris all were wiped clean from orbit. Even those that didn't crash with the falling debris were knocked off orbit by the shockwaves. On the ground, power distribution lines were disrupted and most power facilities were left abandoned by their dead staff. Most of these had emergency shutdown routines that engaged in a few days. Some others had a survivor among their staff that followed protocol and activated their SCRAM switches, stopping the power plant. Long-distance communication disappeared the internet along with it. The world was plunged into technological darkness. Nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand human beings perished immediately in the pulse of magical energy from the torn spatial boundary. Spirits were rent asunder and vanished, their fate neither salvation nor damnation, only oblivion. The criteria used for this culling was latent magic potential. It didn't discriminate against education, gender, age, or ethnic group. But of the around seven million survivors, most would meet their doom moments later. Those on moving vehicles, like the ones driving on highways suddenly had to contend with high-speed uncontrolled cars and trucks driven by corpses. Trapped in their vehicles and helpless, they became part of the long snake of crushed metal. Very few survived. Those in the air or out in the sea were alone and probably unable to control their rides. Airplanes crashed, and ships kept their course or drifted away, depending on their autopilot. Several ended their own lives in utter despair after seeing their loved ones die in front of them. Another large group would die at the hands of other survivors. Violence and aggression became the norm. Only a few sparse pockets of not-so-sane survivors managed to band together and cooperate for the sake of mutual survival. The sole survivor in a five-over-one apartment building in Georgia, a girl became the keystone to humanity's survival. Sara's fabulous System Apocalypse had just started. She has only one remark. It was anything but fabulous. * * Updates every Wednesday and Sunday.
