The last thing Isaac expected was to wake up in Freddy's bed with Caggie sitting on Freddy's dresser opposite frowning at him. Isaac's head hurt, his face hurt, everything kind of hurt. Isaac sat up rubbing his eyes, trying to wake up properly and remember what had happened last night. Caggie stood up a threw a bottle of water at Isaac along with a packet of pills. Isaac graciously took both, practically downing the water. Isaac went to thank her, but she was walking out of Freddy's room. So, Caggie was also pissed off with Isaac, that meant Freddy was going to go off the rails. Isaac's stomach dropped, he knew Caggie had gone to tell Freddy he was awake and now he'd have to deal with hurricane Freddy. He was getting ready to beg for forgiveness.

Right on cue, Freddy walked in. He shut the door behind him and Isaac knew he was going to get told off. Freddy was fuming, Isaac could tell, and he instantly felt bad. Isaac knew he was a mess and he hated dragging Freddy into his mess, but Freddy was the only person who had the patience to love Isaac and right now Isaac was pushing him away by acting out even more than usual. Isaac couldn't even look at Freddy right now, he hated himself.

"You are so lucky your boyfriend was there last night." Freddy told him, crossing his arms over his chest, standing at the foot of the bed. Isaac felt like he was getting scolded by his dad.

Isaac shifted in the bed uncomfortably, "I know, I'm sorry."

Freddy scoffed, "Sorry? What the fuck were you thinking? Elliot saved your arse, fucking Elliot."

Isaac wanted to sink back into the pillows and hide away from Freddy, he didn't need to be reminded that Elliot had saved him. In all honesty, he wanted to forget the whole night. If he could time travel, he definitely would stop himself going to that stupid party. Isaac couldn't believe he had even gone, it was such a stupid idea.

"Fred, please don't hate me." Isaac whimpered, he wanted to cry. He hated when he got like this, he hated it. Isaac was tough, he didn't cry, he didn't care. Only, really did care and he wasn't as tough as he liked to think he was. He was drowning again, he hadn't been like this in so long and this time he didn't know why.

Freddy looked at Isaac like his heart had just shattered, "I could never hate you, never." Freddy crawled onto his bed to sit alongside Isaac, "You and me against the world."

Isaac left Freddy's happier than he thought he would. Everything was good between the two, like it should be. He should have known that going home would only ruin it. Isaac didn't notice the other car outside his house. Isaac didn't notice the boxes outside his house and Isaac didn't even blink twice at the open front door. Isaac was so in his own world he had to do a double take when he walked past the living room.

Sitting there was his not only his father – who looked suspiciously sober – his uncle was there as well, the thing that really stopped him in his tracks was his mother sitting there. The same mother he hadn't seen in years. His eyes flicked between the three adults. He didn't understand, he felt as though his brain had short-circuited. The last time the three of them were he was pretty sure he was twelve, this really couldn't be a good thing.

Isaac's uncle stood up, walking over to embrace Isaac, "It's good to see you kid." Isaac clung to his uncle, using him to ground him and his thoughts, his eyes lingering over his uncle's shoulder on his mum. He hadn't seen her in years, it felt so weird seeing her. "How you been?"

Isaac couldn't answer, he just nodded still in shook at the situation in front of him. His dad standing up behind him was enough to shake him out of his shocked state.

"We need to talk to you." His dad told him. His dad was definitely sober, that fact alone was enough to scare Isaac.

Isaac was not ready for this, not at all and he was not going to, "I've got plans, can we do this later?"

He didn't really lie, he had plans just not for hours, his uncle went to say something to him obviously trying to get him to stay. His dad on the other hand, put a hand on his shoulder, "Go, have fun."

Isaac didn't need to be told twice, he practically ran out of the room. He could hear the adults arguing in the living room, he was half way out the door when the shouting started. Isaac was in his car and at the end of the street, when he looked back to see his uncle standing in the middle of the road. He had no idea what was going on and he was sure he was going to avoid going home for as long as he possibly could.

Isaac was still trying to wrap his head around everything that had just happened, when his phone started ringing dragging him away from his thoughts. He looked down to see his uncle's name on his screen. If he uncle had turned up with his mother and was ringing him as he ran away, it was definitely important. Isaac wasn't built to handle situations like this. He only ever had to deal his relatives one at a time, now there was three sitting in his house.

Isaac was scared, and he didn't know what to do.

Of all the bad ideas Isaac ever had, this was going to be worst one yet. He immediately regretted texting Jake to meet him somewhere. He would've usually felt giddy at the fact that Jake texted back straight away agreeing to meet him, but his head was not in a good space right now. The last thing he wanted was to drag Jake into any of his mess, yet he couldn't help himself. Jake had somehow wormed his way into being one of the few people that Isaac really did care about. Isaac wasn't sure how he felt about that either.

Half an hour after Isaac saw his mum for the first time in five years, Jake was getting into his car. Never in a million years did Isaac thing that would be a sentence he would have thought in his head. Isaac watched in awe as Jake climbed into his car, every bad thought Isaac had that day flew out of his mind as he sat there staring at Jake in grey sweats. That image alone was surely enough to be illegal, no one should be able to look that good.

Jake greeted him before leaning over and pressing a kiss to Isaac's cheek, "Is there something on my face?" Jake asked confused when he realised that Isaac was staring at him.

Instead of answering him, Isaac leaned over and grabbed the back of his head pulling him into a fierce kiss. Jake was stunned at the forceful unexpected kiss, getting over his shock quickly, he opened his mouth letting Isaac push his tongue in. Jake's hand found it's way into Isaac's hair, pulling on it slightly making Isaac moan into Jake's mouth. Isaac groan when Jake pulled away from him, both of them fell back into their seats panting.

"You are so fucking unreal, you know, that right? Like illegal standards of attractiveness." Isaac panted out, still staring at Jake. Jake blushed at Isaac's words, "Please wear those sweats everywhere."

"I might have to if you act this desperate when I do." Jake teased, brushing his thumb against Isaac's bottom lip, before leaning forward and pressing a soft quick kiss on Isaac's mouth.

Isaac grinned at him, "Trust me no matter what you are wearing I'm desperate for it."

"What's plan then or have you actually come to kidnap me this time?" Jake asked, smiling so softly at Isaac, his heart jumped.

"Figured I would just kidnap you."
