----------
Parker staggered out of our bathroom, barely catching himself on the kitchen counter, he was in there a while and I was starting to get worried.
"Are you okay?"
"Perfect." He wiped his nose on his sleeve, "Let's get this over with, I snorted like three sleeping pills so I've got like five minutes before I'm gone."
I wasn't too happy with the situation, but if he wasn't going to argue with me, I wasn't going to complain.
I cut the cellophane on the steak and set it on his lap.
"God, the smell..." He trailed off.
It was an interesting thing to watch, the way everything about him faded when his eyes glowed yellow. If I had been a rational person it would've been terrifying, but it didn't happen often. He was nothing like the vampires we hunted, they're animalistic, vicious. The only time I ever saw a slight comparison of it was when he was hungry and even then he fought it well.
There was no hesitation as he devoured the steak, the blood flowed down the tattoos on his arms which he licked up.
After a few seconds, his eyes flashed to their usual dark brown.
"How do you feel?"
He leaned his head back against the couch, "... Goodnight."
"I'll take that as "good"." I pat his knee and threw a blanket over him.
I sat back in my desk chair, at least I'd have a few quiet hours for once to get stuff done.
There's an alert program I had set up on my computer, it scans most news reports on its own and saves any deaths reported as "suspicious". It might have taken me far too long to perfect but seeing as most of my process isn't, well, legal, everything had to be perfect and undetectable.

From there I would manually scan over what it flagged. If the incident didn't sound human-related I would hack into the local police department's online records to determine if what I was looking at was suspicious, in the vampire sense. This typically leads to some gruesome crime scene photos, but between that and Parker's art, it takes quite a bit to shake me.
From there it was fairly easy to determine if what I was looking at had anything to do with vampires based on autopsy records, manner of death, that sort of thing. The world isn't exactly privy to everything we had the pleasure of knowing.
So I got to read some outlandish theories as to the causes of death. The latest is that there was a serial killer cannibal with the MO of ripping their victims' throats out, even though these deaths go back for decades, maybe centuries. Or there’s the wild animal loose in the city theory. I hear that one a lot and it seems to be the one everyone comes back to. I have no clue where it started but it was clear it wasn't going anywhere.
There was nothing new as of this morning, well nothing abnormal, I suppose. Living in a strange city like Seattle we were bound for more... abnormal deaths.

8 303Miss Ophelia (A Draco Malfoy Love Story)
My name is Ophelia Zabini. The Zabini family took me in after my mother died after giving birth to me, and my father not wanting me. I grew up with Blaise, Pansy Parkinson, and Draco Malfoy. A year after Blaise, Pansy, and Draco turned eleven and were sent to Hogwarts, it was my turn to go. However, Mum and Dad thought it would be better to send me to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, something about staying away from someone; staying pure. I was disappointed I wouldn't be able to see everyone, but I obliged, and everything was going great. Then one night during supper, our palace was infiltrated, and Death Eaters attacked us. After being hit with a spell I don't ever remember existing, I remember Blaise apparating me to, what I'm assuming to be, the Great Hall in Hogwarts. I remember Blaise screaming for help and professors scrambling to get to me. But what I distinctively hear is a scream of my name.Coming from none other than the most wonderful man in the world;Draco Malfoy.

Seems pointless right? Trying to outrun a wolf. Well you would be correct in thinking that. It was pointless, it wasn't long before I was pulled back into a warm hard chest. The smell so intoxicating making me feel weak. "Why run mi amor" his voice is low and husky.

"I will break you like a stick" he said, running his fingers across his blade. "Suffocate you till you can no longer breathe" his fingers went to caress my throat. "And I will enjoy every second of it", Our eyes connected. My heart pounded against my chest at the promises that were held in his eyes. I'm dead. ********* Dawn Turner was anything but normal. She's the type to go pick up a pencil she had dropped and then drop it again while picking it up. Clumsy by definition, she manages to fall into trouble almost everyday. However, the day she met a certain fallen angel, she knew that she had gotten herself into BIG trouble. Especially since she managed to hit him across the head...with a pan...three times... Not to mention shrieking, and I quote "DIE BITCH DIE." But let's not get ahead of ourselves, that's a story for later on.
