《Town or City |Wolfblood|》CHAPTER I: Stoneybridge

Liana's growl was sharp and cold as her human eyes, which were icy chips of blue.
However on the full moon nights whenever she shifted or didn't in the case of tonight, she was growling at the wolves who had escaped from the cellar.
"Get back inside!" Her adopted sister Maddy snarled at the sight of her dad and Liana's adopted father Daniel Smith, out of the cellar and eating a rotten chicken out of the bins.
Liana lunged forward and plowed directly into Daniel, sending him flyin' back into the cellar. Liana was in wolf form, and she spun around to look straight at Maddy. "Get into the cellar please." Maddy said, being more polite to Liana since her wolf had more common sense than their parents did.
Liana crept forward and nudged Maddy with her wet nose, before she jumped into the cellar along with the Smiths. Liana felt the shoe from her sister, thunk down and hit her on top of her head and Liana whimpered a bit, as Maddy shut the cellar again behind them, as a bar slid into place to block the doors.
"Next time Mads, can you try to not hit me on the head? That bloody hurt like hell." Liana muttered as she was standing up as she raced up the stairs to get ready for school. Liana came back down in time for Maddy to get berated on eating all of the junk food in the house and staying up late.
"But why don't you get mad at Liana for that? She was up as well." Maddy snapped, and Emma Smith stretched as she was yawning.
It was Emma who was arguing for the defense of Liana, who was tying her uniform tie quickly.
Daniel Smith noted and Liana's slight smile was worth it and she got her backpack.

"Thanks. I was worried that I had permanently injured you or somethin' Mr. Smith." Even after her being with them for five years, it still felt more natural for her to call him that, then "Dad" and they respected it.
Daniel ruffled up her hair as she walked out of the door with her proper shoes on, while poor Maddy had to wear wellingtons since her mum had chewed her shoe to bits the night before.
That was Tom, who stood up from his place next to the door, and Maddy sighed at his questioning words, as Liana came to a stop next to her.
"My shoes, they got eaten by werewolves. Did you not see the full moon last night?" Maddy asked as a secret smile was exchanged between her and Liana, who knew full-well that the story about werewolves was true, since she had already shifted for the first time.
He called out and Liana looked at Maddy, who shook her head as Shannon was walking over.
That caused looks of alarm to pass over the two girls' faces immediately, since as far as they knew, Daniel and Emma Smith hadn't gotten that far last night and neither had Liana, who had been hand-fed by Maddy last night until she had tackled Daniel into the cellar again. Shannon showed the two a picture of a paw-print and she showed them. Shannon proudly stated.
Tom sounded incredulous and if Liana had said anything, she would've sounded in her mind at least, the exact same sort of way.
But instead, Liana chose to silently slip away from the conversation and she was listening from a distance, as she waited to see what Shannon's big response would be. Shannon sounded like she was convinced of the possibility and Liana sighed quietly.

When they were looking at the board for new photography club members it was Maddy who figured out that it was Jimi, Liam and Sam's idea.
But it was rather unfortunate for them, that Shannon heard their quiet murmurings about it. Shannon asked and Maddy panicked, looking at Liana for a quick, rapid-response answering for the question.
"Who else in this bloody school has such bad handwriting? We have been in the same classes as him for years, if anyone did not know how terrible of a handwriting it was, then I would be absolutely shocked by now." Liana was quick to cover for her sister and she was walking into the classroom, while Maddy took off at the scent of a wolfblood. "Great." Liana murmured, when she noticed that her sister was not around anymore.
Liana was already sitting down in class by the time Maddy, Shannon and Tom had walked into the classroom as she looked at Maddy with a look that said "what the bloody hell was that about?" To which Maddy just ignored as she looked at the new boy in front of the class.
Mr Jeffries was always too quick to assume most things, like where people were from and Liana saw the irritation on the new boy's face and she caught the scent of another wolfblood, only to realize that he was the other wolfblood. Which would perfectly explain Maddy's awkward behavior around him and being late to class of all things.
"No." Rhydian stated bluntly and Liana chuckled at the sight of Mr. Jeffries face.
Mr. Jeffries stated, as Maddy had come to the same conclusion as Liana had.
"Maddy, don't do whatever you're about to do--" Liana pleaded under her breath, but it was too late.
"You smell like my family." Maddy stated and Liana groaned as she let her head hit the desk in sheer, clear embarrassment and she shook her head.
"Maddy what the bloody hell is the matter with with you?" She asked her sister after class, when she saw that Maddy had driven Rhydian to storm off in a rage. "If he's a wolfblood and you have just pissed him off, don't you realize what you have just let loose?"
Maddy lowered her head in shame as Liana shook her head, shoulderin' her bag as she walked away from her sister and went toward the cafeteria.

Magikind
Disclaimer: This is a low-fantasy, soft-sci-fi genre. In fact, it's a variety of genres, so don't be too put off by the tags Through several centuries of selective breeding, these beings, known as mages, have become part of the very foundations of society. However, some humans refused to change or adapt along with them. They believed in purity and refused to interbreed with magikind. Known as the manush, they were a rarity among society. Now, in the fifth millennia, the manush are thought to be extinct. With magikind ruling the world, a three-way war grips society between Eurasia, Afro-Australian Alliance and The Americas. In these uncertain times, a manush called Gin enters the Eurasian army. From there, our journey unfolds. A story of how mankind could realistically evolve while still pushing boundaries. PS.
