I saw Y/N again during Capture the Flag.

Of course, we were on different teams. I was blue, she was red. I don't know why I was disappointed when we were given our teams, I know that she'll always be bold, scarlet red and that I'll be lonesome blue. What was I expecting? This is how things work.

But in that split second where I stopped fighting, stopped breathing, I spotted her grab our flag and run back while clashing with one of my teammates.

"Beautiful," I mumbled, frozen in shock before ducking a blow to my head.

I let her go. I let her run off to another victory. Why didn't I stop her? Why didn't I take our flag back? I could have done it so easily.

But I chose not to. I just stared.

I stared into her bright E/C eyes, luminous in the dark forest. Her long H/C hair tumbling down, giving me the urge to run over and tuck it behind her ear.

And then she knocked a guy down with her spear.

Beautiful.

It was amazing.

Is it weird that some part of me wanted to be the guy who went down?

I think it is. But let's just pretend it's not.

And maybe, that little part of me, wants to touch her again.

But will she let me? After I've been so cold to her?

I want to kiss Y/N L/N. And, for the first time in a long time, I don't care.
