《The Hands At My Throat - kiribakukami soulmate AU》A second chance

Kaminari stood up from his bed with a sigh, having finally finished the book. His vision went black and the whole world spun for a second as he stood, swaying on his feet.
"Woah there," he mumbled to himself as he regained his balance and vision cleared.
He came to the conclusion he should find something to eat. He hadn't eaten dinner the night before, and he hadn't had the chance to have breakfast, so it had almost been a whole day since he'd last eaten anything.
He continued his search through his wardrobe from a couple hours ago. All he needed was something with a collar he could flick up. But he couldn't find anything that would properly hide his soulmarks.
Ok then. He'd have to figure something else out.
Hey Mina
Can you get me some food?
Please?
As my best friend ever?

Even though everything was figured out now, Kaminari couldn't help but let out a groan. He hated this.
He heard another ping from his phone and pulled it out again.

Hey maybe this will make you feel better. Bakugo and Kiri are mucking around in the foyer, it's so cute!
He opened the image, and his stomach twisted in envy. The problem was, he didn't know if he was envious of Bakugo, for hanging out with his crush, or Kirishima, for enjoying time with his soulmate.
And that's when it hit him. He'd been rejected. By his soulmate.
And sure, his entire childhood he'd had to be careful, making sure that he didn't meet his soulmate. He wore the choker, because he didn't want to be violated. And he'd never told anyone about it, in case they thought he was joking, or overreacting.
But, deep down, he'd always hoped for something better than that. He'd hoped that they'd meet when he was older.

Maybe he liked to hookup? Maybe he liked being choked? Maybe his soulmate would be nice?
All these maybes, because he knew it wouldn't be like that, but he had always hoped. He couldn't help it.
And now? Now he knew who his soulmate was. And his soulmate had rejected him. For-
His other soulmate.
Kaminari stood up with a start, and then rushed over his mirror.
Now that he thought about it, not all of his soulmarks had been activated. He had one activated handprint on his neck, but he'd actually had two white ones before.
His arms were still relatively untouched, with only one hand on his shoulder. Bakugo had barely touched him really. His fingers were also amber, from where he'd struggled against Bakugo's grip.
But the main one was his lips. Bakugo had most certainly not kissed him. Which led Kaminari to only one conclusion.
Bakugo wasn't his only soulmate.
Kaminari continued to look over his body, checking over all his soulmarks, and couldn't help but getting excited.
Now these soulmarks? Definitely looked more like a hookup. He had some on the side of his stomach, some running up his arms, and the palm and fingers cradling his jaw.
And no choke hold.
Denki stifled a laugh. He felt like a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders.
Bakugo was his soulmate. But that was ok. Because Bakugo had another soulmate, and so did Kaminari. A nice soulmate, who would treat him nicely, who he could look forward to meeting, who he could talk about with his friends, who he could daydream about.
All he had to do was wait out these soul marks, leave whatever this thing with Bakugo was, and then everything would be perfect.
He had a second chance.

Kirishima continued to push Bakugo off the couch.
"Damn you shitty hair you don't need all this room!"
"Oh I definitely do," Kirishima said stubbornly, levering himself against the airrest and shoving his back into Bakugo.

"No! Leave me be, you aren't that big!"
"Why don't you just sit somewhere else?"
Kirishima knew what he was playing. He was trying to get Bakugo to admit that he liked being near him. Of course, he already knew, but it would be that much more satisfying to hear it come out of Bakugo's mouth.
"Because I don't want to!"
"I'll stop trying to push you off if you give me one good reason not to," Kirishima grinned, turning around and starting to push using his shoulder.
"I'll blast your shitty face off!!!"
Kirishima pretended to think.
"Nah, you won't."
Bakugo struggled for a while longer, before giving up and mumbling something.
"Hm? What was that? Couldn't hear you bro," Kirishima asked innocently, but still noticing the scowl that Bakugo wore whenever he called him 'bro'.
"I SAID jdjfiesh..."
Kirishima scrunched up his face, still pretending not to know.
"Sorry, didn't catch it again."
Bakugo sighed and pulled Kirishima's head close, so that his mouth was next to his ear.
"I said, I wanna keep hanging out with you," he growled in a low voice, and the feeling of his breath on his ear made him blush a little.
Bakugo was pulling away, but Kirishima pulled him back, so that he could mumble a reply into his ear.
"I wanna keep hanging out with you too," he murmured, leaning back again and grinning, pleased to see that Bakugo was also blushing lightly. If he was gonna be embarrassed, he wasn't going to do it alone.
"So, watcha wanna watch? A movie? I could go a movie," Kirishima announces flopping down onto the couch, finally allowing Bakugo to stay without any resistance.
Bakugo grumbled, but shuffled over so that they were sitting right next to each other, then swung his arm over the back of the couch.
"Wow, real smooth Bakugo," Kirishima joked, commenting on how Bakugo's arm was pretty much around his neck.
"Hah?!" Bakugo said, before realising, and pulling his arm right back into his lap. Kirishima laughed knowing that the movement had not been flirtatious in the slightest, but revelling in the fact that he could tease his soulmate about it.
"Shut up shitty hair," he grumbled, but it didn't have as much bite as it usually did.
"Awwww you two are so cuuuuute!" They heard their alien queen friend squeal from across the room. All of a sudden, Bakugo was on his feet.
"Hah! Did you take a photo of us!"
Mina swung around onto one of the other couches, crossing her legs and paying no attention to the hot headed blonde.
"Chillaaaaax babe, I'm just sending to to Kaminari, he's sick again and needs something to cheer him up, and you two are adorbs." She sent the photo on her phone, to Kaminari presumably, before popping to her feet again.
"Ah well, gotta make him some food now, have fun you two~"
And then she left as quickly as she came, leaving the two alone again.
"So," Kirishima prompted. "Movie?"
When I tell you it almost killed me to write 'hot headed blonde'. I hate it when fics just use the colour of a character's hair throughout the entire fic. Like just use their goddamn pronouns. Or their names for gods sake! Use their hair colour sparingly at best!
Sorry just a pet peeve of mine. Doesn't stop me from reading the fics, I'm too much of a sucker for a good story to do that.
Anyway~
Just a friendly reminder to all you people saying 'no Kami! You wanna meet your soulmate!' Um- he thought his soulmate was gonna rape him. In the simplest words. That's why he had the choker.
Also, my automatic fill for the beginning of a sentences Kirishima, Bakugo and Kaminari :D good days
