The song had long finished but Dimitri and I still stood there, with my head on his chest and our arms wrapped around each other. Mine around his neck, while his around my waist. My eyes were closed but I knew he was still looking down at me as he had done so throughout the whole dance. I also knew everyone in the room was looking at us too because of how quiet it suddenly became. All you could hear were the faint sounds of the children playing in a little playroom made for them especially for during parties.

I decided to open my eyes and the first thing I saw was everyone staring back at us in shock. They were all looking at me in surprise and awe. The girls from before were eyeing me with completely disgusted looks but I didn't care because I had Dimitri with me while they didn't.

That's when I decided to look up at Dimitri. His eyes were glowing really brightly, like they were actually glowing. His eyes had definitely glowed before, but never to this extent. I didn't know if he knew his eyes were glowing but if he did, he didn't seem to think of it as something bad because he looked really calm as he stared down at me.

I felt awkward suddenly. I didn't know what to do and everyone was staring at me too, which didn't help at all. I awkwardly pulled away from him, staring down at the ground. Just then Devon spoke up saying it was time to cut the cake. Just then the biggest cake I have ever seen in my entire life got rolled out on a long cart. That's when all the attention left Dimitri and I, and went to the cake.

For the next half an hour, the cake was being distributed to everyone. And I was back to being really pissed off because all these girls were lining up all around him, trying to feed him the cake. At this point I didn't even care if I was letting my jealousy show or making a fool of myself. I was going to get those girls away from Dimitri no matter what.

I started stalking over to them with a plate of cake in my hand, when of course for like the millionth time I tripped, this time over someone's foot. My plate of cake went flying, hitting Dimitri, sliding all the way down the front of his shirt. Everyone around us, including me gasped. The girls had all moved away from Dimitri as they didn't want there own dresses to get dirty. This was definitely not part of the plan but it kinda worked, although not the way I had hoped.

"I am so sorry, Dimitri!" I exclaimed causing everyone around me to gasp even more.

Suddenly, the girl who had previously sat in Dimitri's lap spoke up in great disdain. "First you throw your cake at His Highness, and then you call him by his first name! Don't you have any respect? You could be severely punished for your actions against him! And you should be, you deserve to be! Never have I ever seen such low respect for His Highness." She practically spat in my face, the other girls agreeing with her. I would have admired the fact that they cared so much about their King's respect, but at this moment I was picking up tissues off a table. Once I had gotten some, I went over towards Dimitri and immediately started dabbing at his shirt with the tissue. "I'm sorry Dimitri, I tripped and the plate slipped out of my hand and-"

"It's okay, Izzie." He said causing me to internally smile a bit. I had to admit that I really liked it when he called me Izzie.

"Your Highness, she called you by your name! That bitch should be punished for it." The annoying girl from before spoke up.

Dimitri turned to the girl from before with a glare on his face. "I am perfectly capable in telling whether one is disrespecting me or not. So I would really appreciate it if you could hold off on the input." Dimitri said in a final, firm voice.

"I'm sorry Your Highness." She mumbled, looking down at the ground feeling embarrassed. I inwardly smirked as I continued trying to clean his shirt. Suddenly, his hand wrapped around my wrist stopping me.

"Don't bother. I'll just go change my shirt. Come with me." He said, moving his hand up so that he was holding my hand. He intertwined his fingers with mine before starting to walk out of the room. I followed after him, blushing a little at our intertwined hands.

It was very quiet as we walked through the empty halls. I didn't get why he wanted me to come with him but I wasn't complaining. I decided to break the silence by teasing him a little. "Why'd you ask me to come? Is the big, scary Demon King scared of the dark?" I cooed, laughing a little.

"No. I just don't want every single guy in the room to... Never mind." He said, making me really curious as to what he was going to say. I wanted to think he was jealous but that sounded too good to be true.

Once we reached his room, he let go of me and went to change. I didn't bother moving as it was still very dark and I didn't want to bump into anything again. After a minute, Dimitri came and grabbed my hand again. We then started walking down towards the party when Dimitri suddenly stopped walking and turned to me. I could see him now as we were closer to the party, but I couldn't make out the expression on his face. He had an intense look in his eyes, causing me to fidget in nervousness.

He then suddenly looked away before opening his mouth to say something. "You look really beautiful tonight, Isabella."

I froze, in shock, in surprise, in disbelief. Did he actually just say that? No it wasn't possible. This was a dream. This had to be a dream. This couldn't be possible. This couldn't be real. Except it was. It was very real. So very real.

I wanted to jump up and down and squeal in happiness, even though I'd probably look really stupid. I wanted to run to Pam and tell her. I wouldn't even mind going and telling Devon. I didn't care if he teased me, I just wanted to go and tell someone.

I knew I was as red as a tomato, so I was thankful that Dimitri wasn't looking at me. But I could definitely feel the tension between us. I decided I would break it by teasing him a little. "Are you trying to say I usually look ugly?" I demanded in fake anger.

"No!" He exclaimed turning to look at me again. "That's not what I meant at all! You always look beautiful, Isabella. Every day. There's never a day where you don't. You're very beautiful Isabella." He said, causing me to blush impossibly redder than before.

"Thank you." I whispered, looking away from him, not being able to hold his gaze.

"There you guys are!" We heard a voice say, causing me to jump in fright. It was Devon. "The cake will be gone, so hurry up and take some. It's very good!" He exclaimed.

Dimitri and I didn't say anything, except followed him inside. Once we got to the cake table, we found only one slice left. Dimitri and I both reached out to grab the plate, before we stopped looking at each other.

"We can share." He said and I nodded my head as he picked up the plate. He then made his way over to a table. I followed him, taking a seat beside him. I noticed he had only grabbed one fork and was thinking about getting up and getting one. But then, Dimitri brought the fork with some cake on it, towards my mouth. I blushed again as I opened my mouth and took the cake into my mouth. He then took some more cake on the fork and brought it to his own mouth, eating it.

"This is really good!" He exclaimed looking down at the cake. I agreed as he filled the fork up with more cake for me. For the next five to ten minutes, we both continuously took turns eating the cake, and soon enough finished it.

I noticed Shauna and a bunch of other girls sending me murderous glares. When Dimitri wasn't looking, I sent them all smirks as if to say I won and that they lost. The girl who had sat on Dimitri's lap, mouthed the words 'You're going down, Bitch'. But I didn't care, I was just happy that I was the one who had Dimitri's attention and that he was spending time with me and not them.

"Do you wanna go dance again?" Dimitri asked as he turned to look at me. I smiled at him, nodding my head. He smiled back as he got up, holding his hand out towards me. I took it and walked out to the middle, where everyone was dancing, and started to dance with him.

For the rest of the night, we danced together, going through so many songs and dances that I couldn't keep count anymore. Some were fast songs while some were slow. All in all, the rest of the night was great and everything just felt so perfect. Dimitri was perfect. So perfect.
