And no matter how much you try
The pain never goes away
And you want the aches to die
Yet the aches are the price you pay
For loving, for doing right
So now you're sobbing with all your might
You're a mess and your tears are such a sight
But your eyes are pouring looking for some light
People will ask you what is wrong
You'll reply saying nothing
You'll be singing a lie and a different song
Yet the heartbreak is truly something
