I’ve been a street rat, a bruiser, a bouncer, a fixer, a nanny, and a cleaner. You do what you can to get by in Dockside. It ain’t always pretty, but if you keep your chin tucked down and your fists raised, more often than not you make it out the other side okay. You fight for what you want and to keep what little you got. Thats been my life for the past twenty-four years and I’m used to it. One problem. I aint in Dockside no more. The mad scientist, same one that gave me my near indestructible body, shoved me through a portal to another world. I’m meant to right a wrong his father may have set in motion. I owe the guy my life so I won't complain. But the planet is alive and trying to ‘assimulate’ me into its system and wants my help. Something dark is festering just beneath its surface and corrupting anything it touches...including the locals and when the locals range from elves to spider people to freaking dragon woman that aren’t too happy with the human population, the last thing they need is a corrupting touch. Well, you can take the boy out of Dockside but you can’t take the Dockside out of the boy. It’s time to tuck that chin and raise those hands. For now however, I hope you all enjoy what is about to be written. Eight Years Arc: Eight Years have passed since Aurelius and Iskra have first met one another, and a lot has changed since then. The vast majority of Aurelius’ family has been slaughtered by the hands of none other than his oldest brother, a man that the golden haired prince had spent the past several years to hunt down and kill all in the name of vengeance. Upon his return, the kin-slaying prince has found that some things have changed during his absence. Iskra, his first wife and love of his life, has proclaimed that she no longer cares about the events that have been unfolding in her former homeland for the last several years and states that she is solely focused on raising her children. Yet it is through learning that the High Elves have taken a keen interest in the once magically-absent lands of Ranislava that Aurelius decides that action must be taken and thus he journeys south to learn more about what his distant kin are up to in such a backwater region of the world. Who he will meet and what he will do will turn the tides of fate, but in whose favor is something that only the Gods will know. (The Eight Years arc is something that was designed to be written in a way where people don't have to feel the need to go back to the very beginning of the Dark Lands story in order to know what is going on or who the characters are.)

He finds himself in a cold dark prison cell. His captures are aliens that kidnap lesser beings and force them to fight in an arena for their amusement. Those that show promise are injected with nanobots to create stronger combatants for more entertaining games. How will he get back home, and more important. Is his brother still alive? I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to read my work. Everything posted here is mostly the first draft for a book that I am work on. When complete it will have between 30-40 chapters & roughly 70k words. I'm very new to writing so hopefully over time you will see an improvement.
