leaving Hawkins - come again soon

A small red car passed the sign, leaving a trail from the tires on the road. It would be soon conevered with another layer of snow.

Beth sat on the backseat, stuffed in with all their baggage for the trip. Montana was getting closer and closer, Robin just further and further.

Her mother hummed along to the song on the radio. It was a sad song, it felt really fitting in the moment.

If she could speak to her september-self -the self that waited piningly for every tuesday just to get a sight of Robin- and tell her everything that had happened, she wouldn't believe a thing. Not a word! So much had happened. She lost some friends, made new ones, and Robin- she wouldn't even know what to say about her.

Now that Robin was in her life, she could never live without her.

So after all, things turned out fine. At least that's what it looks like for now.

Everything was perfect like this.
