《Loving Min Yoongi: How To Love Him》Chapter 12

After the conference, everyone headed their separate ways. They had one week left before tour started. The guys would be busy with dance rehearsals, and the concert staff were already in the first city on the schedule setting up for the concert. Alex and ji-Hoon were busy setting up final details for the documentary staff. Everyone had their part to play and it was finally showtime.

That night, the guys had dinner together one last time before their schedules picked up. It was customary for them to meet for dinner before a tour to talk about their goals and hopes for success. They were all sitting around the sofa table in RM's living room passing out food as they discussed what was on their minds.

RM spoke, "I hope ARMY likes the set list we put together. Our new songs mixed with a few old favorites should make them happy."

Jin nodded his head in agreement, "I like that we're able to dial back some of the dancing, and still put on a good performance,"

J-Hope laughed at Jin, "Hyung, YOU dialed back some of the dancing, we on the dance line are still giving it all we got!"

RM turned a little red in the cheeks, "I think ARMY will be surprised with some of the changes. They're used to seeing all 7 of us dance a lot. It will be different for them to see us taking on different roles during the songs and not dancing together all of the time."

Yoongi leaned back against the couch, "We old guys can't keep going like you young ones. We'll let you maknaes carry the weight for a while."

Tae through a pillow at Yoongi's head, "You are not old hyung, you just need to exercise more, maybe do some more stretches so your body can handle the dancing."

Yoongi laughed, "I'll never be able to fully escape dancing, but I'll take a break when I can."

They continued making their way through the dishes on the table. They talked about places they would like to see while on tour. Since they would be staying longer in each city they would have more time to sightsee. They made plans to try new foods and see new tourist spots, and to make sure they remembered to upload to Instagram for ARMY to follow. Part of their new vibe was to include more personal activities with ARMY. Some of the old mixed with some of the new.

"Speaking of new," Jimin turned to look at Yoongi. "I noticed something new from our Suga here."

"What might that be?" RM asked.

Jungkook raised his hand and waived it frantically in the air, "I know! I know!"

Jimin laughed hysterically and pointed at Jungkook to continue. "Yoongi hyung likes nuna Alex!" Jungkook looked around the group puffing his chest out and looking proud as if he just solved one of life's great mysteries.

"Yah? Who said I like anyone?" Yoongi retorted. "I haven't done anything to give you that idea."

"Well, let's see," J-Hope started counting off each of his fingers as he made each point, "you were flirting with her, you drove her home, you've been smiling more the last few days, and you were humming while you cleaned the other day. I'd say that's plenty to get an idea, and it's not normal behavior for you."

Yoongi scratched his head while he thought back. He couldn't remember humming while cleaning. He hated cleaning, and he only hummed when he was in a good mood. An image of Alex popped in his head from the photo shoot. Standing next to her with his arm around her. His face so close to hers that he could smell her shampoo. The sight when looking down at her chest in that black dress. Yoongi suddenly felt his cheeks get hot.

"There! Right there! What are you thinking of hyungi?!" Jimin yelled.

"OK fine!" Yoongi exploded. "I think she's very pretty. It's more than that though, there's something about her and I can't put my finger on it. She's easy to talk with, and it's fun to pester her. . . . It doesn't matter, we have a tour about to start and I have no time for girls."

"Women, Yoongi." RM Interjected. "Alex is a woman, and from what I've seen between the two of you, I'd say she might be feeling the same way about you. We're not getting any younger, and just because relationships are hard for us doesn't mean we shouldn't try if the right person is next to us."

While the guys continued their talk about the tour, Yoongi sat there brooding. He really DIDN'T have time for a girlfriend. There was nothing wrong with being in a relationship with his work. Work wouldn't leave him or disappoint him like a person could. Was being single for the rest of his life so bad? Just because Alex looked good, had a great personality, got along with the other members, and a knack for understanding how to get under his skin didn't mean she was the one to go after. The more Yoongi thought about it the more agitated he became. He grabbed up the trash off the table and started cleaning to take his mind off of it. While Yoongi was taking out the trash, the guys had a quick conversation without him.

"Guys, I think we need to set Yoongi and Alex up. I've never seen him like this around someone before," Jimin insisted.

"I know, but he is stubborn and if we push in the wrong way it will ruin the chance of ever happening," RM pointed out.

"True, and that's why each of us will take turns pushing just a little bit whenever we can to help it along. I like Alex, and she made Yoongi hyung smile a lot these last few days," Jungkook reminded them.

Taehyung spoke next, "I agree. Hyung has worked so hard for us and we only help in what little ways we can. He needs someone by his side besides us."

So it was settled. The six of them would work on a plan to get Yoongi and Alex together. They quickly changed the subject as Yoongi came back in. "Well, I'm headed home. I'll see you guys at practice tomorrow." J-Hope and Jimin said their farewells. Taeyhung, Jin, and Jungkook left next. It was just Yoongi and RM.

"Namjoon, am I destined to be alone? Sometimes I think I'm the only person I can trust, and even I still disappoint myself."

"I think you still struggle with opening yourself up," RM said quietly. "If you can fully accept yourself for the good and the bad, you have nothing left to fight. Letting someone love all of you . . . . that's when you can finally be free."

Yoongi pondered over what RM said as he drove home that night. He tried to imagine what it would be like to have someone truly love every part of him, the good and the bad. He thought about Alex. He still had a lot to learn about her, but he could tell she was different. She made him feel different. Maybe he was willing to see where that took him.
