《Bittersweet ~Popee X Reader~》10 ~ Recovery

After last night I couldn't stop thinking about how sweet Popee was being. I've never really seen that of him before.
"Are you sure you want to practice, if you are still in pain you don't have too." Popee hugged me from behind gently. "I'm okay bunny, I want to practice. Sitting around wont do anything to help me." I smiled, grabbing his hands and holding them while he held me.
"Okay but if you start feeling any pain, you better damn well tell me. Got it kitty?" Popee sternly said in my ear low enough for me to hear. I nodded and started leading him out of the tent to the practice grounds.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was jumping on a small trampoline trying to do different tricks in the air. So far I have front flips, back flips, and summersalts. I can't think of other things to do in the air. "Hey Popee?" He turned his head towards me from what he was practicing, "Yes Y/N?" "Do you know anything else I could do in the air on the trampoline?" I asked while walking off it and towards him.
"What do you have so far?" "Um well Front flips, back flips, and summersalts." He turned his head up, thinking about other tricks to do. "Hmm, well, you could try a 360 backflip and side flip? Those look pretty cool." Popee mentioned, looking back down at me.
"But I can still do all of them better then you," He gave a smug look then winked at me. My face reddened "As if bunny boy" I smirked right back at him. His face switched from cocky to a reddened surprised face in a matter of seconds, "You wanna bet?!" Popee dropped his knives and marched over to the trampoline.
I stifled a laugh and watched him try to do the tricks, he got the front flip and back flip but struggled on the two that he mentioned I could do. I started laughing, his face was so upset "QUIT LAUGHING AT ME! I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY MISS 'I CAN DO EVERYTHING'" He shouted at me then got off the trampoline with his arms crossed.
I stopped laughing "Bet." I got on the trampoline and did all of the tricks perfectly. Yeah I asked him for the other two but I already knew them, just couldn't remember at the time. Popee got so pissed, his eye was twitching. "GOD DAMNIT, A GIRL CAN DO IT BETTER THEN ME?!?" He started wailing bombs towards where Keda was sitting. Keda jumped up immediately and started running with Popee behind him throwing bombs angrily at him.
Keda was in such a panic, meanwhile I was over here sitting on the trampoline and watching this all happen. I couldn't help but laugh quietly at those two.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was sitting in mine and Popee's tent, it's been a couple hours and the sun went down just moments ago. I was just watching F/S/Y (favorite show, or fav youtuber) on my phone, laying on my stomach with my head propped up on my hands. After the trampoline incident my head started hurting so I was done for the day.
Popee was still angry and wouldn't stop chasing Keda. ' I was in comfier sleeping clothes (any you want), the nights seem to be a bit cooler then the scorching heat in the day.
Popee came into the tent, still with a slight scowl on his face. He looked at me sitting there and just..softened. "Hey kitten, are you feeling okay?" I looked back at him, '

"Uh yeah, my head stopped hurting a little bit ago, how are you? I'm sorry for making you upset. I didn't mean to." I turned around so I was sitting and facing him.
"No It's okay. I'm glad you're feeling better," Popee stated calmly and started getting ready for bed. He got in bed and pulled me down with him, I turned my phone off and put it on a dresser beside the bed.
I lied down and he cuddled me closely, burying his face in my neck. "Just don't show off in front of me again, unless you wanna be chased with bombs kitten." Popee whispered in a low voice, loud enough for me to hear.
I kissed his head "Okay bunny boy" I replied, smiling softly. Both of us falling asleep.

I wrote this when I was 16/17 (which was many years ago now!) on a really old PC I called Phylis. I remember having to print it out on an old ribbon printer to submit it to publishers - this was back before esubs were the norm! It never got picked up and I ended up self publishing it. I hope you enjoy.
