《KARNA - MAHADEV'S DECIPLE》SIX MONTHS LATER
Advertisement
Six months have passed since Karna's battle with jarasandh. In these the months Kingdom of Agra became prosperous. For one and half months the kings who was freed by Karna has sent their help for Anga. Karna never took a dime for himself and distributed all to citizens of Anga. Sahadeva, King of Magadh sent most skilled architect to Anga to help Karna buit his palace. Karna first wanted to decline but he knew a palace was important for Anga not only as symbol of status but also for royal guest that will come to Anga in future. But Karna declined the offer to build the palace for free instead he himself hired the architect to help him buit not only his palace but whole city.
Karna has decided that all houses in Anga should be similar so that social difference can be abolished. He first ordered architect to build houses for his subjects, then a public school, then army barracks and then palace. He aslo hired various other professionals like blacksmiths, goldsmiths, weavers etc. For making good quality tools, weapons and jwellery, cloththes etc.
Karna then announce mandatory basic education and self defence to all the people of anga. He even said women were welcomed to participate in these lessons.
The boundary of Anga increased because karna went to several tribal people and convinced them to join his kingdom thus his kingdom grew from 5-6 village large to now can be called proper kingdom. Hastinapur too gifted karna a mountain near the border of Anga and Hastinapur. He didn't declined as it was gift from pitamah Bheeshma. But karna decided to turn the mountain into biggest Shiva-Parvati temple in whole Aryavart. He invited best carvers for this purpose only.
He ordered all people of anga to help them in any way possible and learn from them. The people of anga saw Karna's generosity and fairness. They whole heartedly accepted Karna as their King. So his each orders and reforms were going on without problems. They thought that they were lucky to have such King who thinks about his people before his own self. They thought that Karna was blessings of God which they got after suffering for so long and it is their duty and responsibility of them to help Anga become prosperous.
So after six months construction of anga was completed. The once barren lands were now filled with crops. The broken huts were gone now and instead beautiful and similar houses of different colours were all around the city. The broken roads were gome and wide and solid pathways were all around the city. The schools were running for people of all ages be it old, young, men, women or children were learning there similarly the self defence and weapon classes were going on for everyone too. Karna himself comes time to time for taking both classes. Karna didn't want anyone to go through what he had gone through to get knowledge. Any person in Anga can defend themselves now. People are allowed to choose jobs of their liking.

Usually Karna was either going around the construction sites and help in any way possible or training soldiers of anga kingdom. He even trained 200 special spies, he trained them in fighting and Kalas so they can become more effective in blending in and fighting. These 200 didn't include citizens of Anga but also the bandits that karna captured. He punished the sinners and gave rest of them chace to reform. Anga army also grew because of this and inclusion of tribes. The bandits and tribes who joined Anga were happy as they saw people of anga didn't judge anyone about their past and Karna has given the same facilities and job offer as people of his own kingdom. There were no partiality in Anga.
Karna personally trained his army to become better and more efficient. He taught then vyuha and other tips and tricks. He now has more than half a million soldiers. His army now includes of his own soldiers, former bandits and tribes. He trained all of them formally and from the beginning. He made a mandatory excercise routine for his soldiers. He even had mock battle between them. He choose best among them to lead them. The leader was only best there but they even had to gain approval of the soldiers that they will lead. Karna has strict reward and punishment for his soldiers. He wanted women to join too but alas change cannot be brought by being impatient.
A beautiful palace was built in the centre of Anga. It stated huge gates and on pillar of gates have Tiger and bull on each of them. Then the pathways of his palace began with side ways of beautiful gardens. There was a beautiful loutus fontain in front of palace. Lotus fountain has Sheshnag of marbles covering it then main walls of palace have veena on leaning on one side and veda scriptures on other. In side of palace is decorated beautifully. The sabha room has various seats in them and waters were flowing around the sabha room creating they were forming a white gaseous substance all around he court.the thore of kana was in such designed in a way that it will always have sunlight during the day and moonlight during night. Throne of karna was huge and had Sun symbol above it.It was till date most beautiful palace architect has buit. It has symbolism of tridevas and trideviyan from gates to palace. AThe bull and tigers were chosen means of transport for Mahadev and Mata Parvati themselves. The loutus fountain and marbled Sheshnag represents Mata Laxmi and Narayan. The veda scriptures and veena were symbol of Brahamdev and Mata saraswati. Karna was as living in the palace now he mostly stays at night in the palace.
Karna choose his member of courts strictly and justly. He has taken especial difficult test form a sabha which will not blindly follow him or dharma. His most trusted among them was Mahamantri and treasurer Vikram. Vikram was man of Adhiratha age and was very wise. His suggestion were invaluable to Karna. Karna let people choose their representatives like one from teaching facilities, one from warrior of army, one from merchants, one Sudra community and one representative of common people for his court but he did stict background check on all representative to confirm they were not corrupt individual. He was happy with his court. Every chosen person present problems of their community and while sabha together decide how to eliminate the problem. For Karna no problem were insignificant, he wanted to help as much as he can.

The thing which attracted people most wasn't the palace but a mountain that now was transformed in temple. Steps were carved on the mountain, after climbing the steps there was flat surface carved and a statue of Nandi in his animal form was carved. The flat surface was for the people to pray and doing rituals. It was a large area which can easily hold 1000 people. Then a huge Mahadev and Mata Parvati sitting on shilakhand( stone slab) with lord bal ganesh on shiva's lap and lord Kartikeya stand side of Mata Parvati were carved from bottom of flat surface to upwards.the whole mountain was carved and carefully sculpted. The whole temple was fully marbled from bottom stairs to carving of God's. This beautiful sculpting was base on karna painting himself. He got the idea was from one story that Mata Parvati told karna about younger days of lord Ganesha and Lord Kartikeya. The caving and marbling of Nandi, and Shiva family was done by skilled sculptors, carvers and Karna himself. The colouring was done by karna himself. The family in sculpting and carving looked life like. The inaugural ceremony of temple was not being held yet. Karna decide to do that on day of Mahashivratri which is week from now.
Anga has now transformed from poverty stricken country to a prosperous one. The streets which ere filled with cries of people hunger was now filled with laughter. The children are enjoying their childhood, the women were happily doing their household work while singing, men were happily going to their job to work harder to make their country prosperous and old people were enjoying the life left for them. Karna has placed a moderate taxation on the citizen of Anga whic they were happy to pay.
Karna brought many reforms like banning gambling, domestic violence, dowry etc and abolishing sati. He strictly told people that women were not some commodity to be bought to make men richer, a woman is partner of husband not for men to justify dominance on them and for God's sake sati pratha was bullshit, ending your own life before their natural Life ended is a sin. Men were not to gamble away his hard earned money for momentarily plesure. Karna even had every work will be rewarded equally. Whether if a Sudra is doing cleaning, a soldier defending the country or a brahmin is teaching. Everyone is doing their job and helping society by doing their duties. Noone of his subject is allowed to beg, they would have work for their survival. He asked the requested the invited artists to train his people in their respective art he will pay for their training. Jobs and training were arranged even for handicapped people. Karna too declared he will also take salary and not will not consider his kingdom as a commodity. Karna was adamant the people to realise that they have to do their duties before they can execute their rights. Karna believed one has to set examples for everyone to follow.
Karna did receive some backlash but the punishment were so severe that addicted people grudgingly accepted it. First month was difficult for them but after that they realised that they have became better person and their loved one were happy. Some peole rediscovered their self-worth. After that the reforms were accepted willingly by all people but it didn't mean Karna was tyrant he gave equal opportunity to the people who opposed these reforms to present thir case in front of everyone. They too had rights to do so. So till absence of royal court the sabha was arranged in midst of whole city and fair judgements were passed afte hearing both parties. Then these hearing shifted to palace court but process remains the same.
Anga has become like heaven for people living there. Seeing all this equality and fairness in Anga. The hired artists requested Karna to settle in Anga as they were never given such respect either to them or their work in any kindom and by it's King. Here in Anga people were willing to learn their art. They respected them, the lower cast people. Karna happily obliged. Anga now was home of masters of various progressions. As a result Anga trade flourished. Anga has become the foremost exporter of various products like tools, clothes, jwellery etc. Royal treasury was filling. Karna has stopped relying on his pouch to help the people after five months for paying their salaries or their training expenses. As Anga was self sufficient now.
Karna invited Hastinapur and Dwarka for inaugration of temple as he know Gandhari and kunti re big devotees of lord Shiva and he wanted to meet Dushala after such long time. He invited his parents too. He also has invited the sahadeva and hundred kings with family. He has sent invitation to his last immediate nabouring country Ujjain. Being a good Neighbour he sent invitation it depends on them whether they will come or not.

8 108Of Gods and Dungeons
March 16, 2021 - Hiatus note: I will come back to this story! I'm really struggling with it, though. It's been a number of years and I kind of forgot what the original outline was. I still remember the main path, but not any of the details, because I stupidly didn't write an outline. Progress is being made. I'd like a very decent sized buffer before I start posting again. Don't want to get hopes up only to immediately disappoint! ----- Amy Barnes, an aspiring chemical researcher, finds herself dying from cancer. One of her most desperate prayers is answered in a way that she'd never dreamed possible, and she finds herself living a new life as a dungeon. Warning: Violence, morbidity Cover: Taken from here, courtesy of www.pexels.com by photographer @tookapic. Author's Note: I've read some dungeon core stories on here, and they've tickled my fancy. I've thought up a whole story, start to finish, and thought it'd be a blast to put it into words. Other than the violent and morbid aspects, this story is suitable for children. Aside from the vocabulary, that is. I will avoid the temptation to have any cursing, sexuality, or gore. Excessive gore, I suppose - it is a dungeon story, after all. I’ll do a little research from time to time, but this story will not have a great deal of rigor. I’ve made Amy’s knowledge comparable to my own for that reason. There’s a few things she knows more about than I do, and a few things that she knows less about. Unlike me, she doesn’t have access to Google - it’s a non issue for her to be more knowledgeable than me, on occasion :P This story does not use the same magic system that I’ve used in either Sorcery in Boston or A Summoner’s Confession. This one is mostly intention based, and designed to be easier access for people who are more used to the idea of, “It’s magic, therefore it works” kind of thinking. Do note that Amy is, in most senses of the term, overpowered. This goes along with the usual dungeon core stories. She’s not more powerful than other dungeons per se, but she does have knowledge and intelligence that puts them to shame. I thought about doing this in a LitRPG style, but systems take balance, and I wanted this to be pure fun to write. This story was inspired from a few sources. Despite the title, it wasn’t really inspired by Of Mice and Men, though some of the themes match. Rather, I’ve taken inspiration from a few dungeon core novels on Royal Road Legends for the main idea. Many conventions of dungeon core stories have been perverted from the genre, however. I’ve taken my usual science-loving self to town to play around with the powers, and I can only hope you have half as much fun reading this as I have had writing it.
8 89Rise of the Human Emperor
The Gods and Goddesses felt dissatisfied with the development of the mortals, and thus they decided to create a game. Animals mutated, and fantasy-like monsters invaded the world. Humans thought they were forsaken by the Gods. However, hope came after discovering that anyone that killed a mutated animal or monsters would awaken an internal energy called 'Mana'. Miraculous abilities such as the manipulation of elements, moving objects with the mind, and more super-human abilities appeared one after another. But... Would the humans truly survive the trials, be them internal or external? Would the terrors that come from their mutated planet, and beings that come from the vast sea of stars have mercy on them? Or would they fight till one side is exterminated? Would the Humans rise through the endless chaos, or succumb to the darkness of death? A sick game for entertainment of the Gods, and survival of the humans. This is the Rise of the Human Emperor. Disclaimer: The cover's drawing do not belong to me, it was edited by a good friend. If its owner wants me to remove it, then I will do so.
