"How long are we gonna be here?"Heaven asked me as she walked into the living room.

"I don't know probably for about two months."

"That's a long time. Why though?"

"Your dad has a lot of work to do and he wanted us to come with him."

"So we live here?"

"Yes this is our house also it's just in California and not Atlanta."

"So we're gonna really be here for two months?"

"Yes Heaven unless you want me to send you back to Atlanta to live with your grandparents for two months, and not Alexis buy my parents."

"Please don't."

"Okay then and not only did your dad come down here to work but I did too. You and your siblings will also be building your brands while we're here so get ready to work."

"I just got through branding in Atlanta though."

"When Heaven?"

"I recently did a photoshoot for the new pieces that just came out."

"Okay so keep doing them don't just stop. You have more than enough pieces coming out in order for you to keep these photo shoots going. If you need my help just let me know, but you need to keep working."

"So when should I schedule the next shoot? And how am I gonna get everything shipped here?"

"You didn't bring them with you!!!?"

"No you didn't tell me to."she said while pushing all of her huge curly fro out of her face.

"Heaven yes I did. Before we left Atlanta, I said bring everything just in case you have to do a couple of shoots while we're here! And you acted as if you didn't hear me!"

"Okay what now?"

"What do you mean what now? Get your shit shipped here, now!!!"

"How do I do that?"

"Call the your fucking manufacturers and have them ship everything here! Why are you acting like I haven't taught you anything Heaven!? You're acting so slow right now."

"Ugggh okay!!"she semi yelled before walking off and going upstairs.

I don't know how many times I have to tell her the same shit but it's like she never listens.

I'm just trying to get her started early so that she already knows how to do all of this once she gets older.

She can but she can't eat off of us forever, she needs to learn how to get her own bag.

Not only her but the other's also.

I heard the front door's alarm go off and I got up and headed to the foyer.

"Yaaay I'm glad y'all are back, how was the show?"I asked the twins as they walked in with Scarr.

"It was lit!!!"Sevyn yelled and I laughed.

"It was lit? You had fun Sarai?"

"Yes, mommy we got to stand on the back of the stage and see daddy rap."

"I know, did you take pictures for me?"

"Yes and mommy we—"

"We saw we saw Dababy and we saw Future!!"Sevyn cut her off.

"You did!!? Is that what you were about to say Sarai?"I asked her and she nodded while mugging Sev.

"Where's my big sister?"Sarai asked me.

"Yeah where's my big brother?"Sevyn asked after her.

"Heaven is working so don't bother her and Kai is out with his friend's. How about you two go wash your hands so that you can eat dinner? Oh and go get out of your shoes. I'll have your plates ready once you come back down."I said to both of them and they both ran off upstairs.

I looked at Scarr who looked extremely tired.

"Hey baby."I smiled at him as I walked to him and gave him a hug.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and bent down kissing my lips then cheek.

"Mmmm I missed yo sexy ass."he groaned while tightening up the hug.

I chuckled, "I missed you more daddy."

He looked at me and kissed my lips a couple more times before letting me go as I turned around.

"What you been up to?"he asked me as he followed me into the kitchen.

"Emails."I said while washing my hands.

"Straight like that, emails?"he chuckled and I nodded.

"Yep. Are you hungry?"

"Am I hungry? Hell yeah."he said and I chuckled.

"Sorry but we're eating off of styrofoam and plastic tonight."I said while pulling out three styrofoam plates.

"Where are the dishes?"

"Babe this is our second night living here, do you really think we'd have actual dishes? I had to send Melissa to go get these."I said referring to my personal assistant.

The whole pack was down here with us, babysitter and all.

I believe she was outside still that's why she hasn't come in yet.

"Where'd you say Kai was? It's almost eleven o'clock, it's getting late."Scarr said while looking at his watch.

"He's out with some friend's."

"At a sleepover or just out? And how did he get there? What friend's? Are there any adults around?"he asked me and I stopped making the plates as I looked at him.

"Why are you asking so many questions? I'm pretty sure he's fine, just out having a lil fun."

"At eleven o'clock at night? He should've been back a long time ago, he left when we left and that was four hours ago."he said while getting up and putting his phone to his ear.

"Alex he's fine, I've already called and checked on him."

"When 'cause he's not answering his phone, and this shit was posted on his page an hour ago!!?"he yelled while showing me a video of Kai holding up a gun while rapping to his dad's music.

"Baby I didn—"

"Be quiet."

I turned around and continued making the kid's plates.

"Mommy we're done!!!"Sarai yelled as her and Sevyn ran down here.

"Hey go back upstairs, mommy's going to bring your food up there okay?"I said to them and they nodded before going back upstairs.

"You still haven't gave me any answers. Do you know where he is?"Scarr asked me as he walked back into the living room.

"No. He just told me that he was going to hangout with some friends, I talked to a parent, and I dropped him off at the house. It wasn't a bad environment or anything, and the mother was decent."

"You keep saying 'some friends', you don't even know who the fuck these people are!!! What was the location to the house?"

"What's going on?"Heaven came downstairs and said.

"Nothing, go back to your room."I said to her and she nodded before going back upstairs to her room.

"I don't know the location to the house. He had it on his phone and I- I just used his phone. I didn't type anything into my phone."

"You didn't exchange numbers with the parents either Kodi?"

"No I just met the lady once I dropped him off. I think you should calm down though because maybe his phone just died, I'm pretty sure he's fine."

"Quit trying to be fucking optimistic and just accept the fact that some shit could be wrong with our son!!!"

"Are y'all looking for Kai?"Heaven came downstairs and said.

"Yes!!"we both yelled in unison.

"He's literally down the street, like he's about to pull up now."

"And how the hell do you know this?"

"Because he had my boyfriend come pick him up and they're coming here."she said and I let out a sigh of relief.

"And how did he know to go pick him up?"I asked her.

"Because before his phone died like thirty minutes ago, we were on the phone and I told him that Zay was coming. So he told me to tell Zay to come pick him up on his way here."

"Aight but aye y'all can't leave this house no more, I don't care if your mama is here. Don't leave or get dropped off nowhere."Scarr said to her and I looked at him before going to take the twins their food.

Once I gave them their food I went into the bedroom and took off the small jewelry I had on.

I don't know why I just didn't take this shit off earlier when I got out of the shower.

As I was doing so, Scarr walked in and he went over to the dresser.

He was breathing heavy and shit, I believe he had just beat the shit out Kai over that whole video he made.

"I can't believe you. How could you just leave him with a stranger like that?"Scarr asked me.

"He kept bugging me and I had so much shit going on, I wasn't even thinking at the time. I had to get back to work."

"Exactly if you weren't thinking in this situation then that means you're never fucking thinking. You wanna keep warning me about the fucking home invasion but you're not even thinking about your own child's safety!!! From now on I don't care if you're here or not, the kids are not allowed to go out in public by themselves. Sleepovers and all of that hanging out shit is off limits, here and in Atlanta!!"he spat before going into the bathroom.

I understand his frustration, yes I fucked up big time.

There's nothing more that I can do though except for understanding my actions, learning from them, and moving with life.

From now on I'll try everything in my power to prevent shit like this from happening.

I know it may not seem like it after today but I do give a fuck about my kid's safety.

I think it's just that sometimes I be so busy that I just let them do what the fuck they wanna do.

Shit maybe change starts with me, maybe I'm the damn problem.
