I walked into the building that would soon become I and Kayla's clothing store.
"Wow. This is gonna be so beautiful, I'm so proud of us cousin."Kayla said while hugging me.
"I knowwww, wait until grandma sees this."I said while looking around at the big space as I hugged her back.
"Bitches already hating now just wait until they see this."she said and I smiled while nodding.
"Have you talked to Shiesty?"I asked her.
"Yeah he's good, sittin' low."she said and I nodded.
"That's good, girl what's up with Scarr though?"I asked her.
"What you mean?"
"Why's he always quiet? It kind of scares me."I said.
"You know how some hood niggas be."
"Mhm well I like hood niggas."I smirked and she chuckled.
"You like hood niggas or you got a thang for Scarr?"
"Ion know, I mean he's cute but I have yet to hear him talk."
"Put that wap on 'em and he'll turn into an auctioneer."she said and I laughed.
"I ain't even gotta do allat."I said while applying some more of my lip gloss to my lips.
"Never had to do too much to get a nigga's attention."I said while flipping my hair.
"I know that's right cousin whose grandkids are we?"
"Shit Barbara Mfn Anne's"I said.
"These niggas and bitches better get with it or get left 'cause I promise you this right here is only the beginning."she said while popping the cork on the bottle of champagne she had brought.
She poured some in her glass then in mine once it was opened and we both drank some before discussing business.
Yeah sometimes we're all about bullshit and always turning up but durning other times it's all business.

I repeatedly rang my granny's door bell as I stood outside her door.
She came to the door shortly and I spoke to her before going inside.
"Hey Kodi, how are you doing?"
"I'm doing good, how about you granny?"I asked her as I followed her to her kitchen.
"I'm blessed."
"Amen. Hey aunt Shirley."I said to my granny's sister who was sitting in the kitchen.
"Hey baby, how you?"
"I'm doing fine and you?"I asked I hugged her.
"So blessed."she said while hugging me back.
"Ooooh Kodi, what you been eating girl!?"my granny said while eyeing me.
"Rice, Cabbage, and Cornbread."I said while looking back at my butt and the two of them laughed.
"Koko is built just like her mama was."Aunt Shirley said.
"Yes she is with her pretty self."my granny said and I smiled.
Where are our parents?
So when Kobi and I were teenagers, we never knew but our parents were in the drug dealing business together.
To make a long story short, they ended up getting locked up and have been in federal prison for seven years serving a fifteen year sentence.
Not only did they go down but Kayla's parent's did also because they were in it with them, they're sentence is way shorter though.
We talked to them sometimes but not all the time.
It's kind of fucked up to me how you could birth two children, come from a wealthy family, and still be selfish and sell drugs.
I feel like my mother should've stayed the fuck out of Kenneth, my dad's illegal business but it is what it is.
Grandma came to save us so we're good now.
"Have you talked to Kobi?"granny asked me.
"No actually. He's probably somewhere laid up with some girl."I said while sitting down.

"Didn't the last girl bust his windows out of his car and flatten his tires?"Aunt Shirley asked us and I nodded.
"Mhm. Ain't no amount of dick in the world that good for a girl to be doing stupid shit over a boy."my aunt said and I widened my eyes.
"Maybe he brought more to the table that she couldn't handle."granny said.
"What about you Koko, you dating anybody?"
"Uh un granny."
"You got your eyes on somebody?"she asked me and I shrugged.
"Kind of."
"Mhm well I hope he's decent and won't have you vandalizing peoples stuff or putting your hands on people."
"Oh no I'm not stupid."
"Mhm you think you ain't."she said while sipping from her glass of orange juice and I scrunched my face up.
"Granny why would I do that?"
"You'll never know but it's either he's gonna be the one to do it or you are, depending on who he is."
"How you know all of this?"
"Child we were young."aunt Shirley said.
"Y'all was doing all of that during the Great Depression?"I asked them and they laughed.
"No girl! I'm talking about when your mama nem we're kids."
"Oh."
"Mhm. Your grandfather used to come home to me and mine then leave to go play house somewhere else. Sometimes before he could even make it to his destination, I was already there."
"Granny y'all we're toxic."
"Sure was, taught me a lot though."
I chit chatted with them for about thirty more minutes before I headed to Subway to get me something simple to eat.
I grabbed my wallet and got out of the car before locking my doors and going inside of Subway.
It was a regular cloudy day but I still looked good as shit.
I wore a pair of light wash denim jeans, t-shirt from our business, a pair of white Michael Kors tennis shoes, and a denim jacket that matched my pants.
My hair was being held up by a clamp and I had on my lashes, a lil foundation, and lip gloss.
Even on normal days I still try to look my best because I'll never know who I might meet.
I walked into Subway seeing about four people in the line.
It wasn't too much waiting to do because the line was moving quick.
I went to grab me a Pure Leaf sweetened tea out of the refrigerator before getting back in line.
After grabbing a bag of Barbecue Lays, I ordered my boring ass sandwich with a cookie and I headed back to me car.
"Aye Koko!"I heard someone yell my name and I looked everywhere but where my name was being called.
Sometimes I can be so fucking slow.
"Down here!"I heard and I looked at the car parked next to mines seeing 30.
"Oh hey!"I said while walking up to his car.
"Where you finna go?"
"Back home."
"Come roll with us around the corner real quick."
"Hell nah, who the fuck do you think I am!?"
"I'll give you a dollar."he said and I laughed.
"Is my brother in there?"
"Nah it's just me and Scarr."
"I'm good, I'll see y'all later."I said while going back to my car and getting inside.
Why the fuck would I be in the car with two niggas that deal and kill?
I am not finna get caught up so ima just play it smart and take my pretty ass home.

This book will feature elements of space travel and advanced technology, but not too much, and the main focus will be on the characters as they strive to achieve their goals.
