The train jerked to another stop and you had dozed off. You woke up to the sign flashing your stop name and you stood up to get off the train.
You made your way off the cart and into the almost empty station. You walked through the eerily quiet station to the street exit and climbed the stairs.
It was dark outside and there weren't many lights. You walked down a few blocks to the bus station and waited on the bench.
The woman on the train wasn't lying, this was some venture all for a job interview. You checked your watch and it was a little after eight in the afternoon.
You had anticipated getting there earlier but considering it only gave a street address and no hours there was no need in being too worried about interrupting anyone.
You looked down the street to see the bus charging forward. You stood and climbed aboard when it stopped in front of your stop.
You gave the man the address and he laughed at first until he noticed you weren't joking. He pointed to the seats and closed the bus doors.
There were few other people aboard and you settled in the front of the bus. You fiddled with your newspaper as the roar of the bus kept you awake.
After about forty minutes of windy roads and sharp turns, the bus stopped. "Elm Garden." The driver yelled. You climbed from your seat and stepped towards the stairs.
"Thank you." you said offering a kind smile to the driver. He nodded your way, "Be safe out there." he said as you exited the warmth of the bus.
You saw the house at the end of the street guarded by long iron gates. You walked towards them and they seemed to grow bigger as you approached them.

You pressed the buzzer on the outside of the gate and waited for a response. "H-hello? Is someone there?" a male voice asked.
"Yes, I saw your add in the paper... for a caregiver." you said into the intercome. The gates opened with no response from the speaker.
Slowly you entered, jumping as the clang of the gates echoed as they shut behind you, sealing you in.
You walked to the house, up long stone steps. Just before you knocked on the door, it opened. Behind it was a thin man with brown hair and pale complexion. "Hello, I'm Norman." he said extending his hand. You shook it and walked inside. "I'm y/n."

Words I Left Unsaid
"Like a treasure map in a bottle, We were slowly drifting apart, Mother Nature sailing our purpose out to sea, The more I got to know you, I realised how much of a hoax your devotion was, Almost as fake as the smile I paint across my shattered face."This collection of poetry releases trauma in the form of expression - mainly the words I could never build up the courage to say. Most of these poems present conflict of the mind and allude to mental health struggles, which may be relatable to a certain community of people.Ranks -#3 in poem#3 in poembook#8 in poetry collection #7 in sadpoems#6 in poemcollection #7 in wisdom #15 in poetic
