"(Y/n)...(Y/n)!...(Y/N)!!!" My mom shouts, "AH! I'm up!" I yell startled. "Good! You need to get ready for school, so get dressed." My mom tells me walking out of my room. "Ok" I mumble and grab an outfit.

I put on jeans, a Smiths T-shirt, and Finneys jacket. Then I walk downstairs to get food. "You giving Finney anything for Valentine's Day?" My mom asks serving me heart shaped pancakes.

"Yeah! I made him a card and got him a stuffed animal cat to match the dog he got me!" I tell her already excited. "Oh how I miss young love" she mumbles and sits down next to me, also eating her pancakes

Once I finished I brush my teeth and put on some makeup. I wanna look a little cute! I put on my shoes and grab the gifts, then go outside. I walk down the street looking for Finn and Gwen. They usually wait for me, where are they?

I continue on my way to school alone, holding the gifts awkwardly. I see Lucy in front of the school looking around nervously. She spots me and runs over, "Hey (Y/n)!" She greets, "hi, is something wrong?" I ask slightly concerned

She looks at my jacket and gifts before looking back at me. "No! It's all good, just something with Donna!" She tells me, "But it doesn't matter!" She quickly covers up.

"Okay? Uh have you seen Finn or Gwen? I didn't see them this morning" I ask, "I saw Gwen, she just went in with that other little boy, Ryan is his name? Well he gave her roses, it was so cute!" She rambles, "aw cool, well I'll see you in class" I tell her as I head into the school. I look around but don't see Finney, so I go to my first class

Once I finish first period I look for Finney again. I haven't seen him all day and I still have his gifts. I walk down the hallway to second and I see

I drop the gifts on the floor causing Finn to pull apart and look at me. My eyes start to water and I start to back away, then I start running.

"(Y/n) wait!" I hear Finney shout but I keep running

"Finney wake up! It's Valentine's Day!" Gwen shouts causing me to wake up with a groan. "Come on! Don't you have a gift for (Y/n)!?" Gwen continues to shout and pull off my covers

"What?" I mumble, rubbing the sleep away from my eyes. (Yyyyy/nnnn)sss preesseennnttt" Gwen says super slowly. "Oh right, yeah" I say getting up and stretching. "Now get out, I'll be out in a second" I tell Gwen and she runs out, shutting the door on the way

I grab a green sweater and some jeans to wear, if only I had my jacket someone stole from me. I get dressed quickly and go get some food to eat. I grab a bowl and pour me some cereal, while Gwen has toast.

Once we both finish and brush our teeth we grab our gifts. I got (y/n) her favorite flowers, milk chocolate, and made a card. Gwen got Ryan something from France, I have no clue what it is though. She won't tell me.

"Lets go! I'm so excited!" Gwen says thrilled, grabbing my arm. We walk and Gwen runs ahead already a block in front of me. I walk slow so (Y/n) can see me.

"Hey Finn!" Donna shouts causing me to turn around, "wanna walk together?" She asks shyly, "oh I was gon-" "it's fine! Just once!" She interrupts me. I look down the street hoping (y/n) will pop up but she doesn't

Donna grabs my arm and links it with hers, "come on!" She gushes and forces me walk faster.

"Who are those for?" She asks, "oh for (y/n)! I think she'll like them, don't you?" I respond and look over at her. She rolls her eyes making me cringe, "yeah whatever" is all she says before smiling again

We arrive at school and Donna drags me to first period with her, while walking I see one of (y/n)s friends, Lucy. She looks at me nervously before quickly walking the other way. We get to first and Donna bores the crap out of me the whole class period

She keeps talking about the fact she doesn't have a Valentine and would love to get flowers. Yeah as if I'd give you (y/n)s. The bell rings and I immediately get up to look for (y/n)

Donna follows but I ignore her, "wait Finney!" She calls out making me sigh, "what Do-" I get cut off with her kissing me. I sit there stunned until I hear a bang behind us

I turn and see (y/n) standing there, eyes watering as if she's gonna cry. She starts to back away, then run out of the school. "(y/n) wait!" I try to call for her, But she doesn't listen and keeps running

I look down at the floor and see she had a cat stuffed animal, with a purple bow on it. Next to it is a card, I pick it up.

This is (y/n) the cat

She is 2 and loves kisses

Her favorite color is purple

And she needs lots of love

I look down at the flowers I'm holding. Donna then puts her hand on my shoulder. "You didn't need her, you have me!" She tells me and I turn to her, my sadness being replaced with fury.

"This is all your fault!" I yell at her, causing people in the hall to start looking at us. "Wha-" she tries but I cut her off. "If you wouldn't have kissed me everything would have been perfect!" I start, "you ruined this whole day because you couldn't get the hint and understand, " I finish and look at her

Her eyes are watering just like (y/n)s were. She huffs then walks away. I look at the crowd that gained and they all start to disperse. I sigh and pick up (y/n)s gifts. Then I look at my wrist and see our matching bracelets.

"What did you do?" Gwen asks shocked

I keep running not caring where I go at the moment. Tears stream down my eyes. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid!

Feelings are stupid. Boys are stupid. I'm stupid. How could I think he liked me?! Gosh he probably was uncomfortable when we held hands and I ruined it more by kissing him. He was probably just being nice.

I soon see my house and run straight to the door. I knock a few times and then my mom comes running and answers it. "Hello- (y/n)! What's wrong!?" She asks but I just hug her and sob

"Come on" she soothes and rubs my back. Bringing me into the living room. We sit there for a while until I calm down. "Can you tell me what happened?" She asks calmly

I take a deep breath and start to explain. "So this morning I couldn't find Finney and Gwen, so I walked to school alone. Then when I got to school Lucy was acting weird" I start and she just listens. "She said something about Donna but at the moment I didn't really care, so after first period I went out looking for Finn, and when I found him he was kissing Donna!" I finish

My mom then pulls me into another hug. "Screw that boy! He's really missing out on an amazing girl!" She tells me and I smile slightly.

After sitting with my mom for about five minutes I go up to my room and sit on my bed. I take off Finneys jacket and shove it in my closet. I look at my hands and notice the matching bracelet. My eyes start to water again, and I can't help but sob at the thought of Finney.

I rush out of school with all the gifts. Gwen and Ryan following me. How could I have been so stupid!? I should have told Donna I didn't like her from the start! Everything would have been so much easier!

I run all the way to (y/n)s house and I quickly knock. The door slowly opens and I see (y/n)s mom. She sighs. "Finney..." she starts. "I know! I know I messed up bad!" I tell her

"She's upstairs" (Y/n)s mom says and opens the door for me. I rush upstairs and stand in front of (y/n)s door. I knock three times and I hear steps come to the door. It slowly opens.

I slowly open the door, expecting my mom with a hot chocolate or something. Instead I'm greeted with Finney. He looks at me then doesn't take another second to bring me into a hug.

"I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry" he mumbles quickly. I sit there stunned. He releases the hug. "I'm so sorry (y/n)!" He apologizes again and I look at him.

"I didn't mean to get to school early without you! Donna dragged me and wouldn't let me wait! Then she dragged me to class and I didn't want to be rude, but now I regret everything" he rants, "and then she kissed me, I swear to you I didn't kiss back! She just like pulled me into her and it was gross! I like you (y/n)! Not Donna, not Lucy, you!" He tells me and my eyes start to water again

"All these gifts were for you! Not a different girl! I promise you (y/n) you were the only person I wanted to spend this Valentines with." He says looking me straight in the eye but I look away. "(Y/n)." He says causing me to look up at him

I smile and wipe my eyes. I bring him into a hug catching him off guard.

"Yes, yes, yes, yes!" I say into his chest.

I pull off of him and smile awkwardly, "maybe running away was taking it a bit too far, I'm sorry about that." I apologize and he looks at me "Don't you apologize that was my fault!" He argues

I just roll my eyes and he smirks. "You know, since you're my Valentine, I should get a kiss." He says slyly

"One time cowboy." I tell him before bringing him into a kiss
