"Hey Bad, what's up?" I asked.
"Hi Dream! I was wondering if you wanna go out for coffee tomorrow morning?"
"Oh um yeah I'd love to yeah!"
"Okay, great i'll text you the details. See you at 7am!"
He hung up the phone. I rolled into bed, I'd better have a good night sleep if I'm waking up at seven to meet Bad.
_______________________________
I woke up at dawn. The sky was still dark and stars were littered around. Lazily, I put on some clothes and headed out the door. Bad was waiting for me outside in a car that he's rented for his stay as he insisted that he wanted to drive us.
We drove at a steady pace down town, stopping outside a small coffee shop. It was cute. Bad and I entered the shop and a bell startled me as we walked in. The pair of us sat down at a small, circular table and waited for the waiter.
We both ordered a coffee and sipped at them as we spoke. For a while, we chatted about Minecraft and streaming, then about my cat, Pactches. Eventually, Bad brought up something that I knew he would, I just prayed that he wouldn't; George.
"So Dream," he begun, "How are things with um you and George?"
I rolled my eyes, and huffed, "Bad, can we not?"
"No. I think we should talk about it."
Bad was honestly like a father figure to me, always thinking of what's best for me and how he can help.
"Did you kiss him, Dream?"
"...Yes..."
"Okay, now tell me, do you have feelings for George?"
I ran my fingers through my hair, wincing.
"Yes, I do- a lot, actually..."
"Okay... Thank you Dream for opening up to me."

"Honestly, it felt good to get it off my chest... and you're the first person not to scold me about it!"

I awoke with a bad pain in my broken rib. It ached. I needed some medicine to ease the pain. Getting out of bed, I trailed down the stairs and started searching through the cupboards.
I groaned, I couldn't find any. Heading back up the stairs, I knocked on Dream's bedroom door. But, there was no answer.
"Dream? Are you awake?"
No answer. I opened the door. The bed was neatly made and no one was inside. A small note was left on the bed, with some words scribbled messily on it. It read:
Gone out for coffee with BBH. See you guys soon. -Dream
Sapnap joined me in the room and asked me what's up.
"I need some medicine, my rib hurts. So does my leg too, actually."
"Okay, I'll look for some."
I thanked him and left the room. I looked at the date, it was 12th July. Today was the day my medical bill came through from when I was in hospital. I knew it was going to be expensive but how expensive because I didn't have loads of money just lying around...
I walked into the hallway, to see a small pile a mail at the door. Searching through them, I found one addressed to me from the hospital.
I took a deep breath and opened the later.

Bad and I finished our coffees and headed to the nearest shop to stock up on some food. We grabbed the essentials like fruit, vegetables, milk and stuff and then headed to get the good stuff like chocolate and other snacks.
It was nice to hang out with Bad, almost refreshing to have fun without constantly thinking of George. I had left a note on my bed, to let him and Sapnap know where I went because I didn't want to wake them both up. We wandered around a couple more shops for the next hour or so.

Suddenly, I stopped in my tracks.
"Oh God," I muttered under my breath.
Stood a few feet away, was Ezra, George's boyfriend. I groaned and turned to Bad.
"Could we go now please?" I begged, but Ezra was approaching us.
"Dream! Hi!" Ezra called, "Dream!"
I looked at him, acted surprised and plastered a fake smile on my face. "Oh uh hey Ezra."
"You look nice today," he said, warmly.
"Oh um thanks," I scanned him up and down, desperately trying to find something to compliment something about him, "I- uh like your shoes." I lied. I hated his shoes.
He was carrying two bags of food and his phone too. Bad left to carry on shopping because he was bored and Ezra asked about George. As we spoke, he accidentally dropped his phone and it clattered to the floor.
Ezra crouched down to pick it up, but I crouched down first so he stood back up straight. I stood up too. My head was directly in line with his. We were very close, I could feel his breath on my face. I was about to hand him his phone back when he unexpectedly grabbed my collar and pulled me towards him. His lips connected with mine. Ezra kissed me.

What Was Lost Outside Time
What happens to a mind, subjected to an infinite span of time? What remains, when it is taken out again? This is the story of an individual reborn after such time has passed that nothing remains of what it was; an individual who must learn once again what it is to be, beginning with awareness of the idea of awareness, and growing from there; from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to awareness of society, and on. This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.
