Nina seemed worried about me. She has always been the smart one. She came from Russia a few years ago and I met her at college. She is one of the three friends I have. I don't have a lot of friends, but I trust blindly to the fews I do have.

I leaned back on the chair and crossed my arms.She was right."Yeah. I know. But it's hard to think straight when he's around me." It was the truth.

She sighed:" I believe you, girl. But you have to keep yourself together. Don't let a man fuck up the job you've wanted so bad!"

I started laughing and rose my glass of Rosé:"Cheers to that, babe." We toasted with our glasses. "I'll try my best to listen to you. I promise." She raised her brow:" Yeah, I highly doubt that. But I'm here for you always, anyway."

I was so glad I have her in my life.

"So what's up with James? Any news?".

James. I totally forgot about him."I haven't heard from him for weeks. And I forgot about him anyway, to be honest." James was my ex boyfriend. He fucked me up real bad. He was trying to get me back for months but he stopped contacting me for weeks now. And I was okay with that. I was, since Eric was on my mind 24/7.

"Do you still love him?"- she has always been very frank with me and I liked that about her.

I took a deep breath and raised my eyebrows:" I don't know. I don't think I do but he can prove me wrong once I see him again. I hope I don't, though. He doesn't deserve my love."

She smiled, showing her empathy for me.:" Of course he doesn't. He's a fucking asshole."

It was almost 10 a.m so we had to wrap up our coffee break. We said goodbye to each other and I rushed back to work.

I felt good, like I was leaving a therapy of some kind.

After a few hours, Rebecca came. "Hey. Do you know what's happening with Hart?" I shrugged:"What do you mean? Why?"

She looked confused:" Because this morning I met him in the halway and he said that I won't be arranging all the paperwork that concerns him anymore." She looked at me as If I knew something. My heart paused. Does she know? Does anyone else know? Shit.

I tried to act surprised:" What? Why would he said that? And who will take care of this stuff from now on?"

She raised a brow:" You. He said you'll do it. Amy will be dealing with customer service and staff service only from now on . He passed everything that concerns him directly, to you. Do you know why?"- she asked me, looking straight into my eyes. Her gaze felt uncomfortable and I was panicking inside.

What the fuck am I supposed to say? I was as clueless as she was. Why would he do that? That's so fucking obvious!

"I-I don't. Actually, I should go and ask him right now!"- I jumped up and rushed towards his office.
