《To Build A Home [ Simon x Wilhelm ]》It's about us now

The door clicked shut and Wilhelm sighed, "I am so sorry, Simon."
"Don't be," I said, trying my best not to start crying again.
"That was so dramatic of me," he scoffed, "I'm an idiot."
"Yes you are," I said, "for not talking to us if you were not feeling well. You could have talked to Felice if not me."
He shook his head, "It's not the same," he exhaled, "by the way, how did you get my messages? I thought you would be asleep."
"Yeah, I was," I shrugged, "I had just woken up from a bad dream," about you drowning to death and me being able to do nothing about it.
"Sounds like fate," Wilhelm smiled.
"Sounds like it."
His eyes gauged my face. He raised his hand and gently run it through my hair, I closed my eyes relishing his touch.
Wilhelm pulled himself away from the wall and leaned closer to me. My heart started racing so fast, I was afraid it would break my ribcage.
His lips were inches away from mine when he sighed and sucked his lips inside. "What am I doing?"
"What's wrong?" I asked, searching his eyes.
"You are with Casper, aren't you? I would make you cheat on him," he said, fisting his hands in his hair.
"What?" I looked at him in disbelief, "no no no no, I'm not with him."
"Liar."
"I'm not lying," I scoffed, "okay, yeah we hooked up once," or maybe twice, or thrice, "but thats it. I made it very clear that I wasn't into dating him. Nah huh."
Wilhelm looked at me solemnly, "Why did you hook up with him?"
I looked down at my fidgeting hands, "Maybe- maybe I was trying to fill up the hollow you left."

Wilhelm leaned back and took a deep breath, looking up at the ceiling. Then, a tear rolled down his cheek.
"You and Erik were the only two people I could actually talk to. The past month has been absolute torture to me."
I watched him as he broke open completely, all the terror stored in his heart flowing out.
"Erik keeps coming back every night," he sobbed, "he keeps coming back and I can't figure out why."
"What do you mean he keeps coming back?" I asked.
"He is there every night, in the corner, calling out to me to look at him. I don't know what he wants me to see," he buried his face in his hands, his body racking mercilessly.
My heart bled open to his words. God knows what he has been going through. "Wilhelm," I said softly, "There, there" I rubbed his back.
"And here you are," he continued, "after the way I treated you, you are here. All it takes is a message for you to come running. It should make me feel so happy, but I feel so much disgust for myself. I can never deserve a heart as beautiful as yours, Simon."
"Wilhelm," god, this boy. "Come here," I wrapped my arms around him, "I would come running for you from the other end of the world if you needed me."
"I don't deserve it," he said, continuing to self sabotage himself, his voice muffled by my shoulder.
"Who has said these things to you, Wille..." I drawled, "Do you remember the first time you talked to me?"
"Very very clearly," he said, chuckling, "man, I was nervous as hell."
"That day, I saw something in you that stole my heart: I saw a human who would never hurt someone, a human who was so so damn down to earth despite being a fucking prince, a human who had nothing rotten in here," I said, placing my hand on his chest, my voice growing softer with every word, "a human who had love in his heart. Yes, you made wrong decisions, but it's alright, I have made them too. Many of them in fact."

As I stopped speaking, I realised Wilhelm had been staring at me all this while, his eyes wide open. He looked so tentatively adorable.
"Honestly, if I were in your shoes, I would probably do the same."
"You wouldn't," Wilhelm said, determined, "I know you. You wouldn't."
I smiled at him warmly, gently massaging his scalp. Wilhelm leaned over and buried his face in my neck, nuzzling my skin ever so slightly, taking deep calming breaths.
"You are my happy pill," he said, wrapping his arms around my neck.
"And you are mine," I said, pressing my lips on his soft hair.
