《A Troublesome Pair》Qidditch Anyone?

There's another game today. I told Fred I would go watch him, but of course it's against Ravenclaw. So I'll be rooting for my own team.
It's a bit cold out, still snowing but no wind, luckily. It's hard enough for them to have to play in the snow, but the wind too. Now that's just torture.
"Hey (y/f) ready to go to the match?"
"Yeah. Lemme grab my scarf...Kay let's go."
We head out of our room and then the common room then into the hallway.
Some days it seems like such a short walk. But not today, at least we're gonna be some of the first ones out there so we're not being trampled. Ugh but walking back in, that'll be a different story...
Corridor after corridor we slowly approach one of the castle exits and out through the castle. We now are walking on the cold icy sidewalk surrounded by powdery snow. It's still not too cold, luckily.
"Do you think we'll win this time?" (Y/f) asks. "I done know, our keeper is still a little injured from when the (different house) team sent him to the hospital wing."
"Oh yeah...that wasn't good... but he's almost all better now!"
"Yeah, almost. Im surprised Madam Pomfrey actually let him out to play another match."
We made it out to the field and climbed up to where the Ravenclaw seats were, I wanted to sit at the front.
Both teams are only just warming up. The actual game doesn't start for another half hour.
"Well it looks like someone knows you're here. He's showing off just for you."
I look over to see Fred on his broom acting like an idiot. But he's an adorable idiot so it's fine. But he is trying to do everything with sharp turns and flips.
"YOU BETTER LOOK OUT OR YOULL GET HURT!" I yell at him.
He just winks and continues to practice with his team. What a goof. I watch as the team flies around and yells at each other. I love to watch Quidditch but I'd never be able to play it. It's too...dangerous, I think that's the word I'm looking for.
I don't think we have gone one game without someone getting injured or hurt in anyway. Why can't we just play a muggle game for once? Those aren't usually as dangerous.
I pull my scarf tighter as a slight breeze passes by us.
"Ugh I hate the cold." I say. More people begin to come over to the stadium and fill up the seats. There's only ten minutes left till the game starts.
It begins to get loud behind me as the seats begin to fill more quickly. Soon our section was full and there were only two minutes left till the game.
Dumbledore begins to speak, announcing that the game is about to begin. With a few more words, the match begins!
It's after the game and the teams are in their tents after the games. Either changing or just partying. Boys...
I wait outside Gryffindors tent for Fred, hoping to congratulate him on how he played. But they were all shouting in there. I figured they were excited.
Harry walked out of the tent first.
"Hiya Harry, good game today."
"Oh thanks." And with that he ran off to his friends. Oh my gosh, what's taking them so long? It's not like there's a ton to do in there! It's a tent for corns sake!

I walk in, thinking I might regret it, but they were all just sitting around talking amongst each other. I stand there awkwardly at the entrance looking for Fred.
He spots me first, he runs over and swoops me off my feet and hoists me up into his shoulders. "(Y/n)! Have you come to celebrate our win with us?" He asks excitedly.
"You know Im on the other team right? I cannot just come party with you after my team loses."
"Ah but what's the fun in that? You know Gryffindor is where it's at!"
All I do is smile cause I know that arguing with him is pointless.
"Alright, I think I'm good enough to walk on my own." I say.
"Oh right, sorry bout that." He lowers me back to the ground.
"Well, what are you planning on doing the rest of this fine Saturday?"
"Oh I don't know. What about you?"
"Well I was hoping we could do something together. Like just the two of us."
A grin begins to form on his face,"like a date?" He asks.
"Sure, like a date."
"Okay I'll tell George and then we can go now if you'd like."
"That's fine with me if it's fine with you guys."
He walks over to his twin and tells him the plan. He just smiles and nods in return. So I can tell he is okay with us going.
Fred comes back over to me, "Ready to go madam?" He asks while he extends his arm for me. "Yes, as long as you don't do the formal talk the whole time." I laugh back.
"Oh fine. I thought you girls liked that sort of stuff."
"Not when it's not natural, I like you just the way you are."
His face reddens,"blimey aren't you polite!"
"No I mean it. You're great."
"Well miss (Y/L/N) I like you are great the way you are too."
I feel my cheeks burn,"thanks..." I mutter.
"Alright what do you want to do? I reckon no more boat rides."
"There's only one way you'd get me into a boat."
"Do I have to offer another kiss?"
"No, the only way to get me into another boat is if I am dead."
He laughs, "I'll make sure not to bring it up then!".
"Alright, what are our other choices?"
"Maybe we could play chess? Or set off firecrackers in a teachers classroom, or put mini explosives in in the dungeons."
"Um, Fred? How about we do something a little more calm and that won't get us in trouble?"
"Oh right! Sorry, I tend to get carried away."
"I know." I say with a smile,"I'm used to that."
"You amaze me a little bit more everyday with how you care to get to know me."
"Here, follow me..."
She leads me over to the edge of the castle grounds near where the forest begins. I start to get curious to what her plans are. She's not one to go into the woods just for the fun of it.
In fact, to her there really is not fun of it. She just wouldn't do it. I don't know what it is about her that causes me to act so strangely but I like it more and more as I hang out with her.

"Okay, were here. Now what do you want to do all the way out here?" I ask as we stop. I look around, it's mostly just trees, rocks, and snow.
"I'm going to hide while you count to twenty. Then after that you come find me." She says with a smile creeping onto her face.
"No! You're going to run back to the castle and I'll be out here alone. Plus isn't this a kids game?"
"Since when do we act anything other than like children?"
"Afdjushfks"
"Just turn around and count."
I start to count but then turn back around,"what happens when I win?"
"When you win? Aren't you determined."
"I know I'll find you, I'll always have the drive to find you."
"Alright then. Then what do you want when you win?"
"Spending time with you right now is the best prize I can ask for."
I watched her as her face reddened. It is quite cute when that happens. But she gets embarrassed pretty easy sometimes so she just scoffed and walked off.
I started to count again," one, two, three, four, this is boring, six, seven, eight, Im gonna fall asleep, ten, yada yada yada...uhm twenty! Ready or not here I come!"
I start to walk through the snow, more like trudge through the snow. It was hard to lift my boots high enough so that they would come over the snow.
This girl is trouble, trouble enough for me to want more of what is happening. I want her to feel for me the way I do her. What if she doesn't? What if she is just playing me for attention? Should I ask her? No, that could possibly ruin everything.
I don't see her, I don't get why not. She's wearing dark blue and silver! She should be very easy to see! But I don't see her.
Time is going by pretty fast and I still cannot see her, what will happen if I lose? What if this is a test to see if I am really determined to find her no matter what?
If that's so I'm screwed. I feel bad not being able to find her. What if she's sitting somewhere laughing at me? Or what if she's mad I didn't find her yet? Or what if something happened to her so I can't find her? I begin to get a little worried,"(y/n)! I give up! I can't find you! If you're alright please come out! I'm beginning to get a little nervous."
Nothing, she doesn't come out. "(Y/n)?"
Maybe she's just nowhere near me. That's probably it. Maybe I should walk around and call for her.
I walk for a while, I still don't see her. I continue to walk. Nope nothing. I keep looking up at the trees to make sure she's not up there, with that being the case I trip and stumble down a hill. Hitting my head on a rock that was covered with snow.
I reach the bottom of the hill and my vision is a bit blurry. And my hearing is a bit wonky do to hitting my head a few times. I see a pair of boots approach me then my vision goes black.
Fred is lying on the floor, he's knocked out. There's a deep cut in his head, probably a rock. But it's bleeding a lot. I cannot stand the sight of blood so I press my sleeve to it, also hoping it'll stop the bleeding.
"Fred? Can you hear me? Are you alright?" He mumbles something but I can't tell what it is. "I'm gonna fix your cut." I say.
I don't know healing spells to be honest but I will try to stop the cut from oozing more blood.
I pull his hair back from his face, some of it is stained crimson. "Brace yourself, this is going to be cold." I rip a piece of sleeve from my old hoodie and wrap some snow in it and hold it to his wound to try and clean it off. His fingers flinch.
I would just try to take him to the school but we are at least three miles out so that would be kind of hard. I continue to wipe off the blood and when I am done I hold the remains of my sleeve to it. The bleeding slows.
His eyes flutter open and he looks confused. "What happened?"
"You fell and got a big gash in your head, so I tried to fix it."
"Oh, thanks..."
"No problem."
He props himself up so he's sitting across from me, "So I guess you found me." He was right, I did and he was lucky for that too.
"Yeah I did."
"We didn't discuss what you would get if you won."
"I don't need anything."
"But do you want something?"
"What?"
"Need and want are two different things."
"And..? Your point is?"
He scoots a little closer to me so that we can feel the warmth of each other's bodies.
" Oh forget this..." he said as he softly grazed his lips on mine. Wasn't quite a full kiss but it was enough to give me butterflies.
"Oiy! You two down there! I can't wait till everyone back at school hears about this! Desperate girl decided to go out with the lowest kind of all the wizards! A Weasley!" We turn to see who it is though we both know who it is.
Draco Malfoy and his gang. They all stand there snickering at us,"Well we better be off now! Wouldn't want to disturb your love making!"
Both our faces go bright red, I can't take it this little twerp will pay for what he has said, I pull out my want and point it at him ready to shoot a harmful spell at him but he had already taken off to the school. Ready to spill our secret.
I begin to cry, people are already judging as it is. But the whole reason, I don't really know why I am crying it's just happening.
"(Y/n) don't cry, it's okay. Its Malfoy, no one will believe him."
"Yeah but still he has to go and humiliate me in front of everyone like that! It's so embarrassing!"
After that Fred goes quiet, I turn around to look if he's okay, but he looks like he was just stabbed. "I embarrass you?" He asked. I immediately regret my choice of words.
The look of hurt in his eyes is heart wrenching. I can see it, I just broke something inside of him. That may not have been the best wording I could have used...
