What was he thinking?
Camilo avoided you all day. Not that you even noticed, you were too lost in thought wondering if you should give Camilo a second shot or not.
You rounded a corner, your feet stopped remembering this as the corner where you met Camilo again a year after what he did. You giggled remembering how stupid you must've looked when you ran into that wall.
You continued to walk, 'Even if I give him another shot... how would I tell him?'
You shook your head and smirked, 'Good thing I'm not gonna give him that second chance.'
You bit your lip, 'Well...'
You turned the corner, stopping and staring at the boy who was in the same pose as you. He held in his breath as he stared at you. Your noses were almost touching but you quickly backed up.
"Camilo!" You exclaimed.
"Y/N!" He said, staring at you. He looked to the side then back at you as he scratched the back of his head.
'Will this be awkward.'
Camilo looked to the side then back at you. 'It's now or never.' He thought as he opened his mouth, "Hey you wanna–"
"Oí! Camilo! Come help me for a sec!" Someone yelled from afar cutting him off. "Oh, you should go help them out." You said pointing over to the person who asked for help.
Camilo closed his mouth, puffing them out. He blew out the air in his mouth, "Yeah okay." He cheekily smiled.
Okay, this time for sure he was going to ask you to hang out.
He walked up to you again. "Hey Camilo!" Someone yelled, Camilo groaned.
–—
He tried again a day later, walking up to you he stuck out his hand. "Would you—" He gets cut off by someone calling for help, his eye starts to twitch. "Oh! You should probably go help them out." You said looking over at the person who called for help. You began to walk away, assuming Camilo would've too.

You flinched, feeling a hand grip around your wrist lifting it up, "W-Wait!" He yelled. You turned to look at him in surprise. "Yeah?" You innocently asked.
"Uh...umm" he said, begging to blush. You were confused seeing Camilo all wriggly when he looked up at you, "Do you maybe want to hang later?" He quickly asks, closing his mouth while catching a bubble in it.
You repeatedly blink looking at Camilo, a smile slowly creeping on your face, "When would later be?" You asked, raising an eyebrow.
When you had asked when, you never expected it to be the sun almost setting 'later'.
You and Camilo awkwardly stood facing each other but not daring to look at each other. You pressed your lips together looking up at him.
"So!" You broke the silence by clapping your hands together.
"How's this hang out going to go?" You asked, a smile on your face as you held your hands together.
You knew the two of you were going to get nowhere if you kept getting all shy around each other, so you put on your big boy pants and puffed out your chest making the first step in fixing your relationship with Camilo.
You began to blush when you walked with Camilo. You kept glancing at him. The noise of crickets, the light breeze, and other small animals were the only thing you could hear other than your footsteps.
'Why is the silence so loud?' You asked yourself looking off to the side as your hands intertwined behind your back.
'This is so awkward.'
"Uh.." Camilo stuttered looking down at his hands. "Back when I was pretending to be Mateo, I–I wanted to bring you here... but you know, you found out and all." Camilo scratched the back of his neck glancing out at you before closing looking at the ground.

You look in front of you too see a little hill in front of you. You turn to look at Camilo, he wanted to show you a hill? You gave him a confused look, taking the hint, Camilo nudged his head.
Your eyes widened nodding your head as you made your way towards the hill, you began to walk up the hill. Camilo following behind, a blush dusted on his face hoping you would enjoy what was on the other side of the hill.
Once you reached the top you look up and gasp looking at the view.
It was on Encanto, the sun had barely set and you could see the town's lights turning on. The vibrant colors hurt your eyes, you squinted.
You trip over your foot almost falling before catching yourself trying to get a better view of the town.
Camilo watched you stare in awe at the view. He smiled and his face softened looking at your face. How beautiful he thought you looked.
He blushed looking at the features on your face, how he loved to look at them.
"It's beautiful..." You breathed out, your faces softened. "So.. beautiful." He repeated nodding his head, still looking at you. He walked up next to you, he turned to look at the view.
"How'd you find this place?" You asked, turning to look at him. "Dolores found it while on a walk once." Camilo looked over at you, he blushed looking away in embarrassment.
You smiled, turning to look back at the town. A bright smile on your face noticing how your hands brushed against Camilos.
He blushed, gaining the courage to hold your hand. He gave it a light squeeze. Your eyes widened looking down at his hand then back at him, blushing. He smiled as you looked back down at your hands, your face faltered.
You take a step and away bringing the hand Camilo had just held up to hold your elbow. You looked down deep in thought.
You took a deep breath in looking up to see Camilo whose expression was confused, and sad. He looks down at his hand then back at the view in front of him.
"I-It's getting late..." You said taking a step back.
"I should go home." You began to walk away.
Camilo stood where he was, he was frozen still as he watched you walk away. Camilo takes a step forward reaching out his hand up to you, the memory of when you left him a year ago when you found out the truth flashed through his mind.
He lifts his hand slowly as it began to rain.
You began to walk home. Hands on your elbows as you shivered in the rain. You shook your head,
It wasn't that you were still sad. It wasn't that you were still mad at him.
You shut your eyes trying to ignore the thought of how you felt when you found out the truth between the man who you thought you were in love with.
You were scared.
Scared that what happened once would happen again.
