Continuing your walk you noticed a lady with her baby that seeched as it cried. You smiled with concern hearing that cry coming out of that baby.
You slowly walked up to her seeing that the lady looked used to it. Her eye bags were dark, she was spaced out. "Um. Excuse me ma'am?" You said waving your hand in front of the lady's face.
"Do you... want me to help you out?" You asked, pointing towards the baby. "If you'll trust me enough ma'am you can take a rest while I look after them." You say motion towards the baby. Her eyes widened. "I'll be right here so you don't need to worry if you feel concerned." You say reassuring her.
She shrugged her shoulders handing you the baby and falling asleep on the nearest bench she could find.
'That's fair.' You thought to yourself looking down at the baby who was still crying.
You smiled, "Hey there!" You said rocking side to side. "You sound sleepy huh." You said running a finger down the baby's nose, you bopped it after.
You pulled out a pacifier putting it in the baby's mouth as they cried.
They stopped crying, their eyes were wide. They slowly started to drift to sleep as you continued swaying side to side humming a little melody.
Before you knew it the baby was asleep. You smiled to yourself, 'Works every time' You thought.
"They were really sleepy." You whispered kindly handing back the baby to their mother.
"Thank you sweetie, I really needed that nap." The lady smiles patting you on the back.
You watched her walk off before you turned back around and continued your path along the road.
You helped more people with their children, you seemed to have grown pretty popular by the time you took care of the third child.

It was like you already knew what was going on with them and had what they needed in the back of your bag to fix said problem.
Whether it was helping them sleep or a little tantrum they had, you helped them calm down with a little talk.
Unknown to you, there was a boy following behind you. He was curious as to why you were getting in his way of helping out.
Not that he minded, but not doing anything all day gets boring real fast and he was not a fan of boredom.
He stood behind a wall watching you talking to a toddler who was throwing a fit. He watched you smile at them patting their head as the kid wiped their tears hugging their mom.
He gave you a questioning look.
He then smiled looking over at an opportunity booking it to a parent. He reached them at the same time you did.
You both bumped into each other.
"Oh! I'm sorry!" You said looking over at the boy.
"You girl, are you the baby whisperer?" The lady asked you. "Whisperer.." You mumbled to yourself, "Yeah that's me." You said with a crooked grin.
The boy wore a shocked expression as he stared at you and the lady who was handing you their child. "Please help me, I've tried everything! They don't want to eat it's been a day!" The lady cried.
You looked down at the baby and up at the lady. "Don't worry they'll be fine!" You smiled reassuring her.
You asked her some questions and then looked down at the baby you were about to say something when the lady snatched the baby away from you.
"Wha-" You start seeing the baby being tossed up in the air. A little girl then catches the baby and tickles him. The little girl transforms into a man and tosses the baby up in the air again.

You watched in shock and confusion.
"A shapeshifter?" You asked yourself, seeing the boy you bumped into catch the baby again. He had brown curly hair that bounced with every move.
He looked over at you making eye contact.
Both of your eyes widened at the same time.
Both thinking the same thing at the same time, "Wow they're cute."
He smirked at your direction showing off the now happy baby in his arms.
You gave him a blank stare. You looked down at the baby.
"I don't think that was a good idea..." You say walking up to him.
You try to reach out for the baby but they get out of your reach. "Why do you say that?" He asked, the baby burped. It shocked the boy as he returned back to his normal, you assumed, self.
The baby continued to burp, each sounding more...
well it sounded like the baby was about to puke.
You snatched the baby and ran towards the grass that was right next to the road as the baby began to puke.
You pulled out a handkerchief out of your bag and wiped the baby's mouth.
"That's why." You responded to the boy looking up at him with a stern look.
You feed the baby some baby food, burped it and put him back to sleep.
You cautiously got up assuming the boy had left, but when you turned around he was still there watching you. You jumped looking at his face, he had little freckles running along his cheeks and nose, and had hazel eyes that were wide as he stared into your eyes.
You felt your face heat up and broke eye contact clearing your throat as you looked down.
The boy smiled to himself looking at you getting shy.
"I'll get going now." He said, giving you a smile.
Your head snapped up, "Oh okay." You said nodding your head.
He started to walk away, it wasn't until he was out of sight before you realized you never got his name.
