《Just go with it | Falice fanfiction》Chapter eight

The next day, Alice was busy at the office filling out files, while FP decided to go have an early lunch. What he didn't mention though, is that he'd be treating her kids to pizza.
"So, my mom doesn't know you took us?" Betty asks crossing her arms the same way her mother does.
"Uh, not yet." He tells them.
"You know this is basically kidnapping, right?" Betty says with a scowl.
"What? No. I've known you two a long long time, and Penelope is here, doing whatever Penelope does." He says turning around to see their babysitter flirting with the waiter.
"God, she's freaky." Charles speaks up.
"So here's the deal, how would you like to be my pretend children for one afternoon?" FP smiles.
"Why don't you just tell poor Gladys the truth." Betty sighs.
"You know?" FP asks shocked.
"Mom tells us everything, mister wedding ring boy!" She teases.
"Oh my goodness, did you see gossip girl last night? It was so amazing!" She mimics what she thinks Gladys is like.
"Hey, no no. Gladys isn't like that, your mom is presenting her in a very weird way." He replies waving her off.
"I thought you'd be excited to have an acting job." He tells Betty.
"If it's an acting job, we should get paid." She battles.
"Yeah, you're going to get paid... in experience."
"I want to actually get paid." She grins.
"Alright, what do you want?" He asks her with a sigh.
"Six hundred dollars for the day, I'll do my own hair and makeup. And I want you to a pay for the six weekends of acting camp that my mom can't afford." She lists off.
"Fifty dollars for the day and a two week acting class at the YMCA here in Riverdale." He smiles thinking he won.
"Five hundred dollars and a four week acting class."
"Three hundred dollars and a three week acting class" he bickers.
"Done." She reaches her hand out for him to shake.

"Just so you know, I would've done it for five hundred." He smirks, still shaking her hand.
"I would've done it for the experience." She smiles as he lets go of her hand.
"Charles, what about you?"
"I want you to take me to Hawaii, so I can swim with the dolphins." He tells him like it's obvious.
"You aren't going to let that one go are you? We aren't going to Hawaii buddy, anything else?" He responds before taking a sip of his coke.
"Find someone else then." Charles says while slowly pouring his pop into his cup.
"Very good Charles, were here to negotiate. Do you have anything else you might like?" FP asks him annoyed.
"I want a flying pony."
"I want a flying pony too, but they don't exist" FP argues.
"Well then I'd like a regular pony, and I want to name him chic."
"How about a PlayStation 4 and we name him chic?" FP raises an eyebrow.
"Keep talking."
"Will include four video games-"
"Five games. And I want the meeting with Gladys to be a Pops." Charles states.
"How about the sunshine dinner, because it's just right down the street from my house?" FP suggests.
"Mention that place again, and I walk." Charles tells him with a stern look.
"Alright, take it easy, take it easy." FP puts his hands up in defence.
"So do we have a deal?" FP asks the boy who takes a long sip of his drink.
"Deal." Charles replies with a smug grin.
"Deals off unless you eat that pizza though Betty, seriously." FP tells her, ushering her to eat.
Alice had told him how Betty never really ate her food and it was starting to become an issue. Of course he'd try and help out with her kids, he cared about the two rug rats. And her.
"Can I do an accent?" Betty asks excitedly picking up the piece of pizza.
"Let me hear it."
"ELLO!"
"No!" FP shouts as soon as he hears her British accent.

FP had returned to the office for the next appointment he had, that's when he filled Alice in on what they would be doing.
"My kids? Are you out of your mind?" She tells him clearly frustrated.
"Are you kidding me right now? You're the one who picked up your cellphone!" He defends before she makes her way to the door to call in their next patient.
"Mrs McCoy, the doctor will see you now." Alice tells her and bites her tongue as she sees the woman has one breast much larger than the other.
"I can't believe you're doing all of this just so you can get some." She tells him walking furiously to the examination room.
"I'm not trying to get some, I already got some. And yes I'd like to continue to get some." He tells her hot on her trails.
Alice hands him a pair of gloves which he puts on before telling his patient to have a seat on the examining table and to remove her shirt.
"I smell something, do you smell something? It smells like perfume." He says looking at her blue eyes stare back at him in embarrassment.
"Is that coming from you?" He asks her with a cheeky smile.
"I-I'm- maybe?"
"What? Do you got a date or something?" He asks her.
"I don't have a date, I have a lunch." She rolls her eyes as she starts to prepare what they need.
"You have a lunch? Who do you have a lunch with?"
"My best friend set me up with a guy named Fred Andrews, If you must know everything."
"The guy with the little beard?" FP asks with a chuckle.
"Hey man, I'm Fred. You wanna go to lunch sometime?" He imitates the man as he also places his finger on his chin, moving it to imitate the beard.
Mrs. McCoy clears her throat as she had been waiting quite a bit of time. FP tells her to also take her brazier off in order to fix the problem.
"By the way, he plays base and he writes songs." She smirks walking away from him towards the woman.
"What does he write songs about? How bad his beard stinks?" FP laughs.
"Alrighty, so one of the fun bags is not having too much fun huh? What happened here?" FP finally acknowledges the woman.
"Well I hit it with the car door yesterday, and I heard a pop. And now here we are." She tells him with a small smile.
He motions for her to lay down and she does so. Alice and FP then start helping the poor woman get back to normal.
"It's going to be one afternoon, why are you making such a big deal about it?" FP asks her, returning to the conversation they were having early.
"Because, you are trying to get my kids involved in your dysfunctional, sick little web of lies." She sternly tells him.
"When I was negotiating with Charles, he had the biggest smile I had ever seen on anyone's face. When I told the kid we could go to pops, his face practically lit up." FP tells her.
"Did he really smile?" Alice asks him
"Swear to god, like the cutest little smile. Oh and, I got Betty to eat!" FP announces proudly and she gasps.
"You did?"
"Yeah, three pieces of pizza." He smirks at her before washing his hands.
"I can't get her to eat anything." She frustratedly sighs.
"I know you can't. Don't do this for me, do it for the children." He tells her and he can see her considering it.
"Fine. Only because you got Betty to eat, thank you FP." She genuinely smiles as she pats his biceps.
He smiles before poking her side making her Yelp. She playfully shoves him before they return to helping the woman.

Hawkin. Bronze Ranked Brewer.
07/11/2022 Update: We're currently at the end of the 7th arc, out of 10. My plan is to continue to publish a chapter at least 4-5x a week for the next few months. Synopsis: Hawkin found his place in the world, far from humans and monsters. He abandoned the adventuring life long ago and left civilization, opting for peace and isolation instead. After ten years out in the northern forests, he befriends a strange creature and his life changes. A traveling trio of monks then show up in Hawkin's woods and share with him the best beer he's ever had. After that beer, Hawkin wants to do nothing but accept the brewer's path and brew. This story is intended to be slow and easy. It involves a slow progression of power and brewing more powerful beers. There is occasional conflict. Thanks for reading, and I really hope this story relieves a bit of stress from your days. Note: I'm behind on Audio, but I hope to catch up soon. Linked Audio is always free. It Started with Slime
Before we jump in, let me say that the MC starts stupid, so the language and writing style is straightforward to reflect this. The writing improves with the MC and as the chapters progress (I hope). It is also a gradual growth story, so no zero to hero in ten seconds... with that out of the way: An alchemical experiment has gone wrong and results in a Slime Monster. It doesn't have a name at first and is something that it will need to work out! This story follows a Slime that starts as a Micro Slime with some level of consciousness, and there is more to it than meets the eye. Survival is the name of the game. To improve, it works hard to grow, evolve and become more powerful to survive its harsh new reality. There is a lot more going, and only time will tell if this Slime (all its various versions) can become strong enough to make it through the strife to the other side. It's a harsh world, after all. It Started with Slime is a story with a Monster Protagonist Evolution story. There will be no profanity and no sexual content, and there will be some violence and fighting descriptions. I am a native English speaker, and so the English here should be to a good standard. That said, even though editing, there may be some corrections and typos, so if you see some, let me know! If it bothers you a lot, I am working to make sure all chapters have no typos, but of course, some might slip through. I will endeavour to correct any picked up, though! Also, I started this a few months ago and so any feedback is always appreciated, also reviews and ratings! If you like or don't like the story, let me know in the detailed reviews! That always helps me see what is good and what needs improving. Working on releasing chapters twice a week, I will try to increase that as time goes, but at the moment, that is what I can release. Patreon has more. If the story gets more popular, then I will increase the releases. I am aiming ultimately for a chapter a day if I can get to that. Chapters are roughly 1500 words, with Interludes every five chapters being more or less than that! Enjoy! Edit: Book 1 finished on Patreon, and the format for Book 2 is slightly different with Interludes every three chapters, and the release schedule will be three chapters a week. Cover by: Faren Discord: https://discord.gg/eDuZaEAAqG This story is published and available on Royalroad, Webnovel, ScribbleHub, Wattpad, and extra chapters on Patreon!

Ten Thousand Sallys
Imagine waking up in a hospital room, you can barely move. No one comes when you call. The only other person present is a little boy, who is, surprisingly, more help than you would expect. What would you do? This is the exact situation Sally finds herself in. Almost immediately she discovers that nothing is what she thinks it is. Not the boy, not the hospital, maybe not even herself. She is in deep trouble and the consequences will be dire if she can’t find a way out. She is a fighter, though, and just doesn't quit. As a baseline human, she starts as the lowest of the low and has to claw her way up in spite of being tangled in a shifting web of schemes and plots. She has to do her best, and maybe her best is pretty good. As Sally uncovers more about her situation, she finds that she has to be smart and tough and that in this place she needs to depend on her friends, who are using her as much as she is using them. This book contains themes concerning life, death, and body functions, light swearing, minimal nakedness, and should be suitable for most. Some pertinent info: Ten Thousand Sallys is a complete novel of approximately 140 pages in 20 chapters. Around 80,000 words. not too long, and maybe too short. Give it a read and let me know your opinion.
